Stayed for 2 nights and although the weather sucked we enjoyed this KOA. LOTS of activities for the family! Nice pool and water park, go carts to rent for $10/hour, mini golf, large playground, sports field, fishing and paddle boats. Definitely not a boring time. There were little frogs hopping around everywhere too, made for a fun time catching them. Bathrooms were clean and well kept and they even had a food truck on site with the best pizza and wings! Only downfall was the amount of mosquitoes around the park. Absolutely horrendous! I would definitely recommend for future travelers

Great place to get away & enjoy some nature. You can relax in your rig, walk around the lake, exercise, fish, gather with friends or whatever your preference. Friendly staff keep the grounds looking nice, answer any questions and be of service when needed. The camp offers many amenities from store stocked with groceries, keepsakes & souvenirs to DVD rentals to paddle boats & more. Family friendly, senior friendly, in-between friendly. Our stay here was most enjoyable.

I stayed here at the KOA for five days, and I had a great relaxing time. I had no problems and the staff here were very helpful. I was able to regroup and get things set for my next adventure. I highly recommend this place.

We stayed here three years ago and wow what a downturn. Grass is now a dead weed patch. Dirty park with uneven sites. We had to change sites and still couldn't get level. Even the concrete sites are a shitshow. Pain in the ass park to get to boot. Now charging for everything that used to be an amenity. This goes into the category of never again. By the way the cost here $119 a night.

What a pleasant little restaurant place! It has a lot of free activities. A lot of parks will charge you for everything. But not here. They have a bounce house, bumper boats, paddle boats, shuffle board, and mini golf, all free!!!! It's mostly run by older people. Which makes the feel of the place calm. It's also well maintained. Except for the pillow jump which was pretty dirty. Everything else was great. And the staff was extremely nice. This will be our go to park when we are in Fort Collins, it surrounding areas!

We drove here from out of state because my kids saw the bumper boats and the paddle boats in neat flamingo, swan, duck, and dragon designs. We arrived Sunday evening on September 12th and learned Monday morning when we went to the office that the bumper boats were seasonal and had been taken out. We also learned the most disappointing news: that the paddle boats that were all right there at the dock were only available on the weekends starting Friday morning at 10:00 when the rec department opens. Those were the reasons we drove here from out of state and now we have disappointed kids. There was nothing on their website that said the paddle boats were not available Monday through Thursday. What a big disappointment. Now we need to find a plan B ASAP. We were planning to use the bumper boats and paddle boat a couple times a day every day this week. I do not recommend this KOA.

More horses.... cows were in field adjacent.

They have a nice little park area along the river towards the entrance of the park. The campground store has a nice selection of souvenirs, RV necessities, and snacks to choose from. The staff (who are all insanely amazing) and the long term guests make it feel like home, and you really feel the sense of community here. I'm nomad who is usually not in a campground for more than a week, and and definitely wasn't planning on staying here for more than a month. However, I've been here for four months so far, and I think that says a lot about how great it is here. It's also nice to see the staff out working on little projects or cleaning up daily. I've been to some RV campgrounds that feel run down due to the lack of maintenance. This shows that they care about the park. Going back to my comment about the staff being amazing: The owners and management are great as well. The staff always speaks highly about how easy they are to work with, and how much they care about their employees and guests.

Avoid Riverview -- Safety & Maintenance Issues…read more We stayed three nights to visit the Rockies, but it was about an hour's drive--much farther than advertised. The park is dominated by seasonal or long-term residents, many with cluttered sites. The motorhome next to us was undrivable, surrounded by junk, and the residents kept two very aggressive dogs that were a constant concern. Facilities were poorly maintained. Only 2 of the 6 washers worked, and just 1 dryer--forcing us to do laundry in town. Most troubling was what happened the day we left: I saw a man leading a young woman by her neck, her hands behind her back. She gave the universal distress signal as she passed. I tried to follow but lost them on the far side of the park. I immediately reported it to the office and called the police. Between the safety concerns, poor maintenance, and distance from the Rockies, we will not return.

We booked our reservation online, and we got one of the last 2 available sites for our 7 day stay. Upon arrival, the entrance was a tight turn and then there was another RV checking in that was blocking the roadway. We tried to pull off to the side, but you cannot hide a 40 ft motorhome very easily. Check-in was easy and the staff was friendly. We were able to pull straight through the park, across an alley type road, and into the southern portion of the park where our site was located. After getting settled, we discovered that the other section of the park was under construction, so we were glad we chose the southern section. The sites are close, but separated by small rail fences. This was nice to designate each area, especially for those campers who like to spread out to their site limits. During our stay, the park would nearly empty and refill each night. It was a busy park, but we were not bothered by the activity. There were a couple longer term folks too. They offered two laundry rooms, and bath houses in each section. We did not use these amenities. They also sell propane on site and offer a dump station for use if you aren't staying in the park. There was a Hunt Brother's pizza in the building with the office. I spoke to the staff when checking in, and they gave me a menu and told me to call ahead to order. When we decided to give them a try, I attempted to call several times but no one ever answered the phone. I walked up to the office and tracked down someone who took my order and told me 15 minutes for a pizza and some buffalo chicken bites. When I returned to pick them up, no one was there and my food was in a pick up station/warmer. I wanted some blue cheese for dipping the chicken bites so I asked in the office and they gave me some sauce. They billed my credit card on file with the park. When I got back to my RV, I noticed that they had billed a second charge for a $1.00 for the blue cheese. I wished they would have told me that when I asked about it, or better yet, offered it when I made my original order. The pizza was good but had canned mushrooms rather than fresh. The chicken bites tasted good according to my husband. I think this park is one of the better options for this area. Once they get the construction done to upgrade the sites and utilities, it will be even better. I'm not sure I'll get the pizza again, but it was convenient for sure.

It was quiet and pleasant. Lots of amenities, a large outdoor kitchen, pool, small store, game area, playground, etc. all of the tent sites had a fire ring and in-ground, charcoal grill. Yes, we smelled the feedlot for a brief few minutes...but that's what happens when you stay in an agricultural area. Not quite sure how other reviewers are holding KOA responsible for it. You can hear the interstate but again, that's just the nature of the beast...it is far enough away to where it becomes unnoticeable background noise. They could probably use another bathroom option, because I can see how it could be an issue during a busy time, but it wasn't particularly busy when I was there so that wasn't a problem. Also, if you get a tent site and plan on hanging out in your little area, maybe bring a canopy or awning...there are some trees but they're a bit sparse and having the shade would be pretty crucial.

Don't worry, it's worth it. Kelly Flats Campground is located 35 miles west of Fort Collins in the Poudre Canyon. Of the 29 available sites, most are either right on the river or a mere few steps away. It's low enough to wade and tube in the late-fall, but it is COLD. Bring your fishing pole... you might just catch yourself a delicious trout! The campground host keeps the bathrooms IMMACULATE, which is a huge bonus. No spiders! Most of the bathrooms are wheelchair ready. Almost all the sites are car/RV/trailer accessible, but there are six that are walk-in tent-only. Not surprisingly, these six boast the best spots on the river. They're also a bit more secluded. Even so, the other sites are spaced well enough apart so the slightly rowdy won't step on the toes of the family campers (or vice versa!). It's a great set-up. Dogs are welcome, but need to be tied up at your campground. They're free to frolic down by the river, though! Site 10 (walk-in) has a cool little "swimming pool" of river rocks built up... and it's probably really nice during the early summer months when the river's a bit higher. All sites have picnic tables and fire grates. You can buy wood from the camp host for $7 a bundle, but I recommend getting it at the Conoco in town for half the price. There isn't much to gather at the campground. One thing to note: there are TONS of yellowjackets. I don't know if it's because we camped late in the season, but those buggers were aggressive and mean. And EVERYWHERE. You'd be smart to pack one or two of those yellow wasp traps. As camping goes, Kelly Flats is far enough out there to be really gorgeous and secluded, but developed enough to feel safe and fun for even the littlest campers. We took our one-year-old and he had a blast! We'll be back next summer for sure...!
