Having said that I thought it was time to finally speak up about Joe's Mini Mart. This message is not so much for locals, cuz we know, but to all the seasonal visitors who visit our beautiful area of the Adirondacks. If you have a need for an absolutely awesome submarine sandwich, not slopped together but a creation with excellent bread, deli cold cuts, cheeses and your added extras...GO TO JOE'S MINI MART! You're in a mini market with a satisfying big surprise. I can't stop there either. Their selection, and yes I will dare say HOMESTYLE salad selections are perfect for any picnic or afternoon or evening gathering. Try their soups on an autumn weekend ride. Everyone on staff both young and older alike are welcoming and professional. You are treated like family not a drive by stranger. In every way Joe's Mini Mart is a staple store at Lake Luzerne for good cold cuts, subs, salads and a variety of other small store items.

Our visit included a fresh egg, sausage & cheese breakfast sandwich and a 12" Turkey Sub. The hot breakfast sandwich hard roll was buttered and toasted on the grill. Delicious! The sub sandwich was on a tasty, soft roll with complimentary fresh vegetables such as lettuce, tomatoes, onions, green bell pepper and more. A wide variety of condiments are available. Mine was made with chipotle mayonnaise that gave the sub a little extra kick. On the day of our visit, a small farmers market outside was open selling a variety of fall harvested items. The shop is very well organized and clean. A pot of hot coffee was available, too. Also, the service was excellent. Very nice and pleasant.

They use REAL eggs, and even toast the hard rolls. Those sandwiches hit the spot, very tasty. They also sell King Brothers Dairy products, their chocolate milk is the BEST on the planet ! Harris Grocery is a solid 4 Star rating, IMO.

A 12 inch will run you $6.40 for most of them. They also offer up BLT's and hot dogs with a few baked goodies as well. It's basically a small convenience store that sells lots of camp supplies too as it is literally opposite the entrance to Lake Vanare campground. Can't miss this place as it's right there on 9N. Great owners offering just what the area needs. Open year round and it will be doing an even brisker business once the hiking trail at Potash Mountain goes viral come spring 2018.
