Recently discovered a yellow jacket nest in our backyard so called Forsyth Exterminating. Office staff was great - very polite and professional and advised me of cost after I had sent pictures showing where the nest was located and the large boulder that it was apparently under. I called late on a Monday (near closing time) but the were still able to schedule me the very next morning between 8am and 10am. David arrived around 9am and was done by just before 11am. I was very impressed with how quickly he was able to both treat the nest and dig it out of the ground despite the aforementioned boulder being in the way. read more

I recently contacted Forsyth Exterminating when I discovered evidence of some termite damage in a small area of my hardwood floors. My home is on a slab, and termites had apparently come up through a crack in the slab to briefly feast on my hardwood floors. My initial contact was with one of the owners who told me about their family-owned business, answered my questions, and was kind enough to explain the types of treatment and the advantages of using a hybrid system to address my issues. Later Jonathan Poss came out to take a look and quoted me on doing a hybrid termite treatment which included injecting Termidor SC into the ground around the perimeter of my home as well as installing a Sentricon monitoring system. He would also inject a foam into the area where we found the damage and into the wall cavity behind the nearby bathroom plumbing. Jonathan did the work himself just a few days later and afterwards explained everything he had done as well as how the Sentricon system was designed to work. I was very pleased with the work that was done as well as with my interaction with Jonathan and other Forsyth Exterminating staff. We have been using Forsyth Exterminating for many many years both at the lake and now in our new home in Dawsonville. Our technician, Leroy Heron, has been taking care of our mosquito treatments, insect and termite treatments. Although all of the technicians are great, we requested Leroy to take care of us a long time ago. He is always punctual and does a great job. Can't recommend this company and Leroy enough. Called 3 times to schedule a appointment and each time no one ever came and when I called to ask why they didn't come I was told "it looks like no one put your information in the system" after calling 3 separate times over a week and a half.. poor customer service. read more

Completely unethical. I called for a termite inspection so I could get a clear termite letter. The woman taking the appointment said no problem. Cost is $70. Although the inspector found no termites he would issue a letter unless I paid $400 for a treatment. This was a total bait and switch. He said he couldn't issue the letter because it was a townhome. If this was the case the lady on the phone should have asked me the property type. I called another company who issued a letter no problem. Keep away. They are NOT honest. read more

If 0 stars were possible - I would give them that or less. After three missed appointments to have a system installed, they finally sent a person in khaki pants and inadequate tools to install our system. We had to request another person to come out to fix the system. For billing, we paid for a year in advance, and what we thought was the actual system (as in we owned it). We started receiving past due notices 3 months after we paid for the year of service. When I contacted them - which took numerous phone calls, they said that we were "late" for paying for the next 12 months of service. It makes absolutely no sense as to why I would pay for service for another year after pre-paying for the existing year. I had to call them numerous times to get the issue resolved and for them to stop billing. After the year of service, I informed them that we would not be renewing the service due to their poor management and customer service skills. Within a few days, a man showed up at our house, went into our fenced in backyard, and started pulling the baiting system out of the yard. He never announced himself, never knocked on the door, just literally went into our backyard and started removing the baiting system that we thought we had purchased. My husband happened to see him walking around and confronted him. He informed him that was trespassing and dangerous to go into someone's fenced in backyard and he just kept pulling out the system. My husband contacted the company and they said that they owned the system and could take it at anytime. We complained to no avail. Just an FYI - we were able to install our own baiting system by purchasing a system through Amazon for about $60. So save yourself the headache and a ton of cash and just install the system yourself. read more

I contacted Forsyth Esterminating when I discovered a few new droppings in my attic. I'd heard a noise in there once. I was initially told that the gentleman would come out that day, I was surprised but organized my schedule accordingly. He called and asked if I would do him a favor and he come on Saturday morning first thing. I called well after the timeframe was missed and was told that he messed up his schedule and was on his way. He cam out and was very pleasant and knowledgable. I received a quote of $800 with a 3 year warranty and he expected I would receive it by email on Monday. I received a quote for $1100 and a 1 year warranty . I'm not impressed with the customer service here. read more

I am so impressed with the response of Julie and Raymond at Forsyth Exterminating to my unhappy review of 9/3. Julie (Co-owner) called me and made no excuses. "We dropped the ball." As a former small business owner, I appreciated her next statement: "What can we do to make you happy?" Since I believe in redemption, I told her I just wanted the work completed and the broken shutters repaired. Today, 9/12, (the shutters had to be specially ordered from Lowe's) Raymond did a wonderful job. Later in the day, we received a beautiful tasty surprise by Edible Arrangements as a peace offering! I had these folks come out for wildlife removal. They destroyed my $5,000 gutter system. They removed the gutter toppers and could not put them back on the way they removed them, rendering my gutter system ineffective. I had the owner and a manager out for examine the damage done by their wildlife people. They agreed their workers did not do a good job. They promised to fix it. After six weeks I have not heard a thing from them. They obviously do not care. I would avoid using this company. read more

If you're looking for a reliable pest control/termite service you absolutely should give Forsyth Exterminating a call. They are thorough, reasonably priced, and try to send the same person out to your house every quarter. If you EVER have an additional need in between sprays, they are easy to get a hold of, return your calls promptly, and happily work with you to try and get to the root of any issue. As odd as it may sound, we truthfully look forward to seeing our 'bug guy" every few months. I mean- what bug man comes out to your house and is SO EXCITED to tell you the different types of ants he sees, brings treats for your dog (because he has one of his own...that he will DEFINITELY show you pictures of :)), and is so kind you sort of want him to join you for dinner? I am highly dissatisfied with this company. I thought based on the reviews I would have gotten better service. I had set up an appointment last Friday taking time out of my day to have them come-I had little moles burrowing in my yard and needed them to be gone ASAP. My window was from 9-12. I had gotten a call from them saying the guy coming is running late, and would be here around 12:30. So I waited...12:30 had gone and passed and it was now 2:30. Mind you no one called me to tell me what the heck was going on at this point. Wasted my entire day. So I ended up calling them back rescheduling to today Wednesday from 9-12. I told them that if you guys pull another stunt like this again I will have to go with another company. The lady said that will not happen. Way to keep your promises. No one called me in that window of time, or to even let me know a status. I called to just cancel. I wasn't going to sit there and curse anyone out because that's a waste of time and energy. I understand this company has been in business for a long time but at least keep your customers posted as to what is going on. People do work for a living and cannot keep wasting time sitting ducks at home for no reason. Completely dissatisfied-and to Forsyth Exterminating, if you decide to post on my review, I do not need any kind of explanation of how long you have been in business or that you don't do this because you just did-JUST DO BETTER. read more

Do not use this company for exclusion services. I had a serious flying squirrel and pest issue in my attic. Contacted Forsyth Exterminating and had someone come out and check it out. They said there were areas where pests could get in and suggested their exclusion services. Paid $1500+ for these services to secure the entire attic to keep anything from getting in. Had them come out 3+ times after exclusion was completed because I could still hear pests in the attic. Felt like I was inconveniencing them when I called. This past week was the final straw so I reached out to another company. Met them out my house and they asked me to come look at work Forsyth Exterminating had done on the roof, shoddy work the metal not secured and apparently used materials with holes in it. Also huge openings left where 200+ bats were getting in. So paid another $1500+ to have it done correctly. Just a warning for future customers. read more

We had squirrels in our attic. Installation and response was excellent. I waited about a month to write a review as we were still having issues with squirrels. Due to the holidays, response was an issue. I called and spoke to the owner, Julie. She was very responsive as I was not the nicest client at this point. She contacted Mario who finally found and fixed our problem. In the end, our squirrel problem appears to be fixed and I'm happy with the end result. I recommend this company. I also had a problem with attic creatures, poop, and mishandling of it by this company. Raccoons had been pooping and peeing in the attic for years, so the ceiling and insulation was requested to be replaced. Day one their vacuum broke, so they decided to just pull the ceiling down and let the poop/pee/insulation just drop into the house, then get dragged through the house, out the front door to the dumpster. Raccoons have roundworm eggs in their poop that become airborn when disturbed. This has been dropped into the kitchen people!!! Imagine if that was your house! That was only the start, because they just made a huge mess everywhere, didn't clean up, and my house is completely contaminated. They used my personal tools, including opening a brand new shopvac I had purchased. They had laborers do the work that were not employees of this company, and left them unsupervised in the house and they didn't speak english, so I could not communicate with them. Not to mention these workers from who knows where were using the restrooms and didn't flush (so gross). Aren't contractors supposed to hire port o johns for the workers??? Today was there last day of work and now we are left with poop insulation covering our yard, their ladders broke our front porch, they didn't do all of the work they were supposed to, and they sure as heck left nothing but a mess behind. There are gloves, respirators, pieces of drywall, etc. littering the entire inside and outside of the house. I left pictures on another review site. I wanted to fire them day one when they dropped poop into the house, but my husband urged me to let them make it right. They didn't. After losing sleep for the past week, I am expected to pay almost $9,000 for this low quality, shabby, messy, work that does NOT meet the expectations that were sold to me during my consult. I really wish I could go back in time and erase the thought of ever knowing their name. If I had done the cleanup myself, using the CDC raccoon latrine guidlines, my house would be cleaner, uncontaminated, and my pockets would be thousands of dollars fuller. One of the biggest regrets of my entire life was this whole fiasco with this horrible company. read more

They came out and gave us a quote, which was expensive. I called Forsyth Exterminators and they came out the same day I called. They quoted us a much cheaper price and started right away.
