She's a healthy 85 years old lady but her eyes were in bad shape due to cataracts. One of her eyes had a stigmatism that she had dealt her entire life. A special lens was inserted during surgery, which corrected the life long issue. Just so you know, Medicare does not cover the cost of special lenses, so there's an additional out of pocket expense.
