    Taiwanese noodles!
    Kenny H.

An amazing place I've been coming for a while. Their Taiwanese noodle soup is amazing and their beef roll is top notch. If you can, go for the wavy noodles. The Taiwanese noodle has depth, flavor and soft squishy noodles. Recently I went and our server Aden took care of us by recommending the popcorn chicken and wontons. For those of you that are struggling with parking, go down the street and there's is usually parking.

The portions are far too small for the price. The wonton soup had only a few wontons despite costing almost $20, which felt like poor value. The food also didn't taste like authentic Taiwanese cuisine. The flavors were unusual and not very enjoyable. The wontons tasted like inexpensive frozen supermarket wontons rather than freshly made ones, and the sauce lacked depth and flavor. The braised pork over rice was overly salty but still lacked richness. The pickled cucumbers seemed under-pickled and tasted bland. Overall, I was disappointed with both the quality and value of the meal and would not recommend this restaurant.

Great food! We ordered the beef noodle soup and the portion was pretty big. Not too spicy. The beef was tender and the broth was flavorful. We also ordered the beef rolls and those were good as well. A bit different from the other beef rolls i've had. It was more saucy than usual. Food came out super hot/fresh. Def recommend it!

Everyone knows parking in convoy is terrible especially on a Friday night. The parking lot in this shopping center in also terrible. But that's all I'll say for parking 1/5 When we arrived there was just a short wait, roughly about 10minutes but it was fine because it gave us time to go through the menu. We got bar seating which was a nice vibe and plenty of table space to eat. Great lighting and also great customer service. The staff was friendly and very helpful, always making sure we were ok. I got the Taiwanese beef noodle soup which was so good. There are two options for noodles, Wavy noodles or classic straight noodles. I picked Wavy noodles and it worked out well and was delicious. The portion size is huge, I couldn't finish it so I packed it to go. The beef was torched to give it a Smokey taste. We also got the Popcorn chicken and that was also a huge portion! It was soooo good! 5/5 Also got two drinks lychee and pomelo 5/5 Overall experience 5/5 I'm going to come back forsure!

Super cute spot for some food that hits the soul. The aesthetic is giving sushi spot and it's cute. As for the food, I got the Taiwanese beef noodle soup and thought it was sooo good. There's a choice between straight thin noodles and wavy softer thick ones and I went with the larger ones- would recommend that one! My dish was a 9/10. My boyfriend got the pork over rice and thought it was good but slightly on the saltier side- his rating was a 8/10. We also got the scallion pancakes which were ok! They were pretty dense and I don't think I'd necessarily get that again. The servers were super nice, Kalee and Nina. They were attentive when taking our order and when we needed a refill on water they came immediately without us asking. Their mango jasmine tea is also really good. Would overall recommend this place!

Seated quickly with great service and was offered a drink immediately during the hot season. I had the lychee lemonade which was on the sweeter side. Very modern with an asian twist even though it was a smaller restaurant I enjoyed the open concept! Food portion looked great! Thanks Emily and Nina!

Came to formoosa with a couple of friends. I know a terrible parking experience is expected in Convoy, but formoosa is on a whole other level. The parking lot layout is odd, small, and tight, with heavy foot traffic, so expect to struggle during peak hours. formoosa itself is a pretty solid spot. The inside looks very clean and modern, and the decor makes the place feel very bright and inviting. It was not crowded at all when we arrived around 5 PM on a Tuesday. There are QR codes on the table that you can scan to view the menu on your phone. FOOD: My friends and I had mixed reviews about the food. One friend got the pork over rice and said the pork oddly tasted more like beans than meat. My other friend got the sesame noodles and enjoyed them. Taiwanese Mazesoba (3.75/5) - Tasted good and had a nice snappy texture. The flavor itself felt pretty one-dimensional and was on the salty side, even after a good mix. It felt like it was missing an element of something I couldn't quite pinpoint. I'm not mad about it, though. Scallion Pancakes (4/5) - Crispy and flaky. Came with a dipping sauce made of what I think was vinegar, chili oil, and a kind of soy sauce. SERVICE: The service was great and attentive. Waters were kept filled, and they checked up on us often. Food came out pretty fast after ordering, too. TLDR// Solid spot in Convoy, but I'm not sure if the food here totally justifies the parking lot turmoil. Wouldn't be mad at returning.

We ordered the Taiwanese Beef Roll, Chili Wontons, and Sesame Noodles. The beef roll was the standout by far - 1000% would order again. Super flavorful, great texture, and honestly the highlight of the meal. The chili wontons weren't spicy whatsoever and were just okay for me, and the sesame noodles were decent but didn't stand out compared to the beef roll. Service was friendly and efficient, and James and Aiden were holding down the fort and doing a good job keeping everything running smoothly. The vibe is casual but still lively enough for a fun lunch spot. They have bar seating and also serve alcoholic drinks. I'd come back again specifically for the beef rolls and to try a few other items on the menu, like the popcorn chicken and spicy beef noodle soup.

Excellent food. Not many seating with only one table so not quite little kid friendly, so the wait was longer than expected. Once inside, the wait time for the food to come out was not that long however, and the food did not disappoint. We ordered the popcorn chicken with the spice on the side, and the beef roll. Both were really great quality with the right amount of crispiness, maybe the best I've had. Kids also loved it. Ordered the mazesoba, with good level of creaminess and taste, with kids enjoying it as well. Well worth the wait.

Parking 3/5 -Big plaza parking lot but this is a super busy plaza with a lot of restaurants so most of the time you'll have to find parking somewhere else. Service 5/5 -Friendly staff and water was served as soon as we sat down, attentive overall. Food 5/5 -Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup $20.5, SO GOOD, wow the beef was so tender and soup was so flavorful and soothing! I liked the straight noodles more than wavy noodles because it felt denser, bouncier and just more similar to the ones I've had in Taipei. Loved the soft boiled egg and just overall PORTION SIZE, the big bowl of noodles is exactly what I look for every time I want noodles. Never change this please. They also torch it lightly before serving to give a smokey taste, I think it's a nice touch of detail. -Popcorn chicken $14.5, crispy and fragrant, very yummy no notes. -Lychee 101 $11.5 and Poomelo $11.5, both drinks were delicious!! The blend of jasmine tea and soju works sooo well, I would order again for sure! Ambiance 5/5 -Bar center with seats all around with a couple tables on the outer perimeter inside, tasteful modern interior. It feels very calm, lowkey and comfortable.

    Pork over Rice

My friends and I decided to try this spot since it had over 5k reviews but it ended up being really mid. Apparently they give you a free drink if you write a review on yelp or google so I can see how the reviews here may be skewed. The inside of the restaurant is pretty small. They have bar seating in a semi rectangle and a few small tables on the sides. The parking lot is pretty small and gets crowded easily so I would recommend carpooling. What we ordered: - Formoosa summer cocktail: This tasted like juice, very light and sweet, which I liked. It felt like a perfect summer cocktail. - Pork over rice: This dish was very salty and there weren't enough cucumbers in the dish itself to help cut the saltiness. It was hard to eat because I had the urge to drink water after every bite. - Taiwanese beef noodle soup: I didn't try this but my friend said it was mid. It does come in a huge bowl so would be good for sharing. - Pickled cucumber: Only a few pieces (mainly the brown ones) tasted pickled; the rest just tasted like regular cucumbers. - Scallion pancake: The outside was crispy but not flaky and the inside was a lot more doughy than I expected. Wish they had a better dip; it was just straight up chili oil. I'd say it was not bad but not good. - Chili wontons: I always compare every chili wonton with Din tai fung and this one was nowhere near as good as that. The wontons are pretty big and I didn't like how thick the dough was. I'd say you could skip this dish.

I've been to this place 4 times and I have never been disappointed. I recommend the Taiwanese beef roll, the Taiwanese beef soup, sesame balls, scallion pancake,& chili wonton. Amazingggg Aiden & Quan were our servers tonight and I want to give them praise because they deserve it ! Accommodating, quick,& overall great. 10/10 would recommend.

I was craving for some good Taiwanese food and stumbled upon this spot on Yelp. It caught my eye because they had some happy hour deals going on even on a Friday afternoon! Their weekday happy hour is from Mon-Friday from 2-5pm. There were select appetizers and drinks on the happy hour menu that I really wanted to try, so we headed on over. The parking lot is kinda small and shared with multiple establishments. We went on an off hour but even then, there were only a couple spots left. Here is what we tried: -Beef Roll ($13 - HH pricing / $16 - reg. price) -Beef Noodle Soup ($20.50) -Taiwanese Mazesoba ($18.50)* -Popcorn Chicken ($11.50 - HH pricing / $14.50 - reg. price)* -Pickled Cucumbers ($6.50) -Chili Wontons ($13 - HH pricing / $16.50 - reg. price) -Pomelo cocktail ($7 - HH pricing / $11.50 - reg. price) *denotes favorite item(s) The mazesoba definitely caught my eye. I love a good mazemen so I figured it was a similar dry noodle concept but with Taiwanese flavors and different noodle type. It was actually pretty good and even though I'm a die hard Taiwanese Beef Noodle soup girl, I found myself eating more of the mazesoba. This is perfect for those that aren't craving something soupy but want some flavorful noodles. I really liked that they added generous amounts of fried basil with the popcorn chicken...that's how they do it in Taiwan to make the snack more fragrant. I'm always sad when there is little to none fried basil with my popcorn chicken..portions were also very generous, no change in portion size just because it is happy hour. Overall, love the weekday happy hour deals and the generous portions. Pricing is average, but definitely take advantage of the weekday happy hour if you can. Food is comforting and yummy but other than the Mazesoba that really wowed me, everything was decent! I would come back if I'm in the area and I'm craving Taiwanese food.

    Is this place kids friendly?

No. Only eight table top seats, two tables that seat 2, and one table that seats 4. All the rest of the chairs are seats at the bar.

Are the sesame balls vegan? Any vegan options?

based on my experience, sesame balls are made out of red bean or yellow bean paste covered in sticky rice dough coated with sesame and deep fried. better to look at the inderigent lists if they are vegan pr not as there are different vegan…

Came here 1 day at 9:10 and another at 9:40 when Yelp says they close at 10:30 but both times I was told by the worker they were closed?

How do I make a dinner reservation? I've called multiple times and no one has picked up.

We've been and it was only walk up. Some say you can make reservations but I see no evidence of that beyond calling the restaurant.

What's their house broth made of? Is it pork, beef, or something different?

    Should be beef broth.

    Do they take reservations?

Yes :) we made reservations when we went,

    Any gluten free options?

I went with someone gluten-free as a walk-in and they said no gluten free options so we left and went to a different restaurant in the same shopping center

Does Formoosa sell boba? I was here this afternoon, but the staff told me they did not sell boba. That's strange.

They sell milk tea and it's pretty good.

OVERVIEW Come for the equally balanced, delicious coffee AND matcha drinks; the spacious work setting; the side entertainment (like a free bookshelf + camp chairs outside), and incredible ownership. Be prepared for hard parking during peak hours (lunchtime) and possible lack of seats (especially during schooltime). DRINKS It is RARE to find a shop whose matcha is on par with its coffee; normally, one is better than the other. Easy Does It, or EDI as we affectionately call it, is pro at BOTH. With coffee served from Provecho, matcha from Nami and hojicha from Paru??? You just hit a trifecta of GOOD good. Our Typical Order: 1) Iced Earl Grey Latte - omg, I LOVE the earthiness that the earl grey syrup brings to the matcha. Matcha, to me, is either too grassy or too sweet; the earl grey syrup makes it a perfectly earthy balance. 2) Honey Cinnamon Latte - how good could a standard coffee shop latte be, you ask? They have the HCL at almost every shop, and it's not usually standout. EDI, again, blew expectations wide open. Their HCL is balanced: sweet without being saccharine; and you can actually taste the cinnamon. 3) Hojicha Latte, Hot - omg, there was a time when I ordered almost one of these A DAY. Again, another sleeper - if you like the taste of coffee but can't take the caffeine (for a late night drink, perhaps), a hojicha is a good choice. It has that grounded taste that coffee gives, and the hot version of it is like a HUG for your mouth and stomach. They also have cool inventive flavors like the Matcha Cloud, the Coconut Cream Cloud (which is a coffee cloud on top of coconut water, I hear it's refreshing), so you'll never get tired of the drinks they have here. I also want to mention that they do serve wine and beer, too... so there's something for everyone! FOOD Spend any time in a coffee shop and know... you're gonna get hungry! Thankfully, EDI has open-faced bagel sandwiches AND pastries here, all of which look mighty tasty; all of which I cannot partake in, since I am gluten free. But ohhh, gluten warriors unite! Thanks to the partnership that is Jacob of Made for Mei Mei Mochi (aka the protein mochi) and Easy Does It, you'll have your PICK of 5 different flavors of homemade, chewy, ooey, DELICIOUS MOCHI -- SANS added sugars and preservatives you normally find in the store. I'm telling you, I don't normally like mochi (it tends to be so sweet) but I love the texture. And Made for Mei Mei hits it all! Flavors include: 1) chocolate hazelnut -- which tastes like Ferrer Rocher, yum 2) ube 3) green tea / red bean 4) black sesame 5) pb&j (yes, he's stocked peanut butter & jelly, a fan-demanded flavor) My favorites are #1 and #4; sometimes I go for #2 and #5 to mix it up. Either way, I spend WAY too much on these tiny li'l treats I might as well become an early investor. AMBIENCE This place is perfect for computer work as light doesn't directly fill the whole space. I like a li'l shade when I'm staring at a bright computer screen. There are two rooms: front and back; the back is a li'l darker and more chill vibes than the front. I also appreciate that they have a free bookshelf (just replenish it with your own!), plus a few magazines scattered around (for decoration, but I still browse). I miss when coffee shops had analog media, especially for when we don't want to be glued to our screens. EXTRA CREDIT Easy Does It also offers their shop as space for community events. From mahjong with No Ambition Tile Club to wine and jazz nights IN SUM THANK YOU Easy Does It ~ Grace, Nancy, the sister I haven't met, Eugenia, and the entire team ~ for creating a lovely third space where I can work, enjoy my snacks / drinks, meet friends and co-work, and have a great conversation. The brown sugar syrup was okay, I'd get something else the next time. Wait times were pretty long, but the chance to walk around and see pretty flowers, rocks, and plants make it not such a bad thing at all. There are a few tables, but there weren't enough for my party when I went in the late afternoon (5pm-ish) Plenty of parking, and cafe employees are extremely sweet and cheerful. They say green vibrant plants bring your high cortisol levels down. Would def recommend if you're in search of a new cafe. If you're coming from the airport, it's not too far and you can squeeze in a coffee/souvenir run!

(Dw, from the inside, you can see outside well) Drinks were really good and carefully made, song selections were unique! We ended up chatting with one of the customers there too. Chill atmosphere 10/10 recommend. There's also free wifi here, signal isn't very good. :) Parked in free street parking about a min walk away.

Wait outside on the sidewalk (no exterior seating) and someone will come to take you inside. Do not ring the door bell. The theme is to take it slow. Each customer typically waits 20-30 minutes to enter as part of how they do things, even if there is open seating inside. Not sure if they use a timer to space entries but it seems consistent. They take one group in at a time. Interior: A few tables around the wall and then bar seating. Would not recommend for parties greater than 2, there just isn't the space. They welcome service animals, babies/children and strollers from what I observed. The music was very, very loud. It was difficult to hold a conversation. I did not see a bathroom. Ordering process: After seating you wait for a little bit for them to bring small water cups and a QR menu with a table number and a set of rules. They do not have a physical menu, you must use your phone to order. Cell phone reception was dicey and took a long time to load. They have an interesting concept where you have a digital 'tab' open on their toast website. Unfortunately you must provide your full name, email and phone number. They have pour over drinks (note these can take 15-20 minutes), matcha, Hojicha and others. You may only order one drink per person at a time. They have a small snack menu with rotating foods. They use oat milk only. No substitutions allowed. After mobile ordering, drinks take 20-30 minutes as part of their take it slow vibe. Matcha $8 is from Paru tea and was very good. Hojicha $8 was too milky and didn't have a strong enough flavor. When you are done you walk to the register by the door and wait to be checked out. If they are making a drink you wait until they are finished. I wasn't really a fan. Staff were brusque. Music was too loud to converse.

They have baked goods as well as sandwiches u can order. Someone will ask u if u want baked goods first then u go down the counter to order drinks and sandos. Got the everything mochi bagel with cream cheese and the egg & chicken katsu sando. Everything mochi bagel 5/5: so fluffy and light yet still tastes like a bagel. Can be a lil salty on the top where the salt is but contrast with parts that dont have it. Egg sando 5/5: yummy and filling, has cucumber and the milk bread is thick and so fluffy! Chicken katsu sando 5/5: my favorite. I love the spicy mustardy sauce not sure if it's in the actual brown katsu sauce or separate mustard. My bf didnt like it but i loved it! Chicken also juicy and soft. The milk bread is so fluffy and lil sweet and perfect pairing. Interior has lots of tables and seating and they they also have an outdoor patio and they clean the tables frequently which is nice. Recommend!
