Sarah thoroughly asked questions and customized a treatment plan for me. The inflammation has subsided, as well as the pain. My daily walks with my dog are more enjoyable, and I don't have to shorten them. I've started playing tennis again this summer too. My husband knows it is helping because I no longer complain about my feet! All along I've continued to wear my orthotics because my feet need the support. However, without Sarah's acupuncture expertise my feet would still be swollen and painful. Sarah is a helpful, expert technician who ensures I'm comfortable with the needle placements before leaving my chair. She's welcoming, professional, and highly skilled. I wholeheartedly recommend Sarah as a professional acupuncturist and healer.

Jessica French and Nancy Bierma are the people I see for this and both are so friendly and knowledgeable. They always have product recommendations and information if asked but are never pushy about buying products. They recently added a massage therapist to their practice and Ray Neil is AMAZING. My spouse and I have both had massages and have left every time feeling relaxed and/or had pain reduced. The pressure is definitely not too light and she is generally intuitive about what is needed (I have asked for a little more pressure once and it was PERFECT), plus she has some great techniques for stretching/loosening painful areas. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Appointments are super easy to book online; if an appointment time is not available, call to see if they have some appointment times that are not listed online. The officer managers are all friendly and helpful. They also have some lovely products onsite to buy if you're interested, and they will usually offer you a cup of herbal tea after your treatment. They also accept HealthParters and Cigna insurance for acupuncture, just in case you have those carriers and acupuncture is covered under your plan. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Crocus Hill Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine. I am thankful to have found such a wonderful, relaxing, and healing place.

I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Huan Ma. I had been experiencing foot pain and associated…read moredifficulty walking for 6 months prior to seeing him. I was initially diagnosed with metatarsalgia by an orthopedic doctor. He prescribed me foot exercises and metatarsal pads and neither of these ideas was helpful. I then went to a physical therapist and completed all prescribed exercises and this gave me no relief. It was then that I came to Acupuncture Health Center to see Dr. Huan Ma. I was skeptical of acupuncture but willing to try anything to see if I could avoid getting cortisone injections and/or surgery to resolve my nerve pain. The results were impressive. By the 5th acupuncture visit, my nerve pain was decreased by 90%, and it was totally resolved by the 8th visit. Near the end of these sessions, I mentioned to Dr. Ma that I needed to have toe spur surgery due to pain between my 4th and 5th toe due to a toe spur. I had been evaluated by an orthopedic doctor for this a few years ago and was told that this was the only treatment option. Dr. Ma informed me that he could resolve the toe spur pain through acupuncture. I decided to give this a try and it was resolved in another 8 visits. I am thrilled with the results and now have saved both the cost and down time that would have accompanied cortisone shots and surgery to resolve both of my foot problems. Thank you, Dr. Ma!

I made an appointment online and was excited for my evaluation. The "club" aspect of paying a monthly fee and then walking in whenever you want sounded great! I arrived to signs on the building asking everyone to wear masks for the protection of self and others, but when I walked into the Mind and Body office no one was wearing a mask. Not the doctor, not any of the three patients, and no masks or hand sanitizer, nothing. And there's more, I've been to two different Chiropractic offices and I am used to them servicing multiple patients at a time. What I am not used to is it all being in one open room where everyone is just laying on a flat massage table waiting to be serviced. I'm used to my own space with a minimum of curtains, hot packs, bolsters, or a motorized roller chair to loosen me up prior to adjustments. Looking around the room, I didn't see anything that made me think these prep options would be available. The doctor approached me at the reception desk and hastily outlined the documents for me to fill out. They appeared to be mostly about joining the club and no Anatomy page to note personal problem areas, no health forms about past surgeries etc. This last comment is my personal perception and not a fact, but my gut told me that the Dr was very uncomfortable and possibly even offended by my anti-racist t-shirt. The t-shirt simply says: "Hi, Don't be racist, Thanks." I obviously can't make any definitively factual statements about this, but after clearly reading my shirt (which you can see takes about 2-3 seconds tops) he kept flicking his eyes from my shirt to my face and back to the shirt. It was definitely distracting to him and I felt made him uncomfortable. That's what I have to say about my 5 minutes in this office this morning as I simply wrote on the intake papers that the office was not for me as no one was wearing masks and left.
