I started seeing Lindsay to help with fertility issues and also sleeping problems. I have never been able to "turn it off" when going to bed at night. After just a few sessions of acupuncture and herbal remedies I was falling asleep within minutes of hitting my pillow and sleeping through the night. The main reason I started was infertility. I did about 12 sessions total and continued to do it through the IVF process. I have had acupuncture many other places-West Coat, East Coast, Vermont, St Louis-from 5 trained practitioners. Lindsay, Sara, and Maria at Modern Point in Maple Grove have taken my acupuncture experience to to a new level. I have been having successful fertility treatments with Sara, and have taken both my parents there to treat neurological damage to their feet with incredible results. Mayo Clinic couldn't figure out how to help my mother- after 3 treatments with Maria and Sara my mom could start walking normally again and get her foot into a regular shoe and become more active. Late July of 2014, at 34 weeks pregnant, I was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy, the temporary paralysis of one side of my face. Because the cause of Bell's is unclear, there is no 'good' medical remedy besides time. With a little bit of research, I found that acupuncture was proven to help Bell's, so I contacted Maria at Modern Point Acupuncture. I explained my situation and she insisted that I come in IMMEDIATLY for a consultation and my first treatment; she even stayed late for my first meeting with her. I was skeptical of the effectiveness of acupuncture, having never tried it before, but that first treatment was amazing. Maria made sure that I was comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire process. I've been seeing her regularly since July and my face has recovered 75% of it's function. My experience with Moderpoint Acupuncture has been outstanding.  I was treated by Nicki.  She is has a warm and fun personality as well as a vast amount of knowledge.  Her passion for what she does is refreshing since I have been to many other acupuncturist where it is lacking.
