Instead of opting for the famous cortisone shot, I took that cash and went all in on acupuncture- and that was the best decision of my life! I knew really nothing about acupuncture. I just knew I was sick of screaming and crying in pain. I couldn't sleep, I couldn't sit, I literally would scream in the car after a mile. I went two times a week for three weeks, then once a week.. And after about eight sessions, I could sleep again. I weaned down to even just once a month, and now over a year later I can just go in for a tune up. One time i threw my back out on a Thursday, and he fixed me up to leave for my two week vacation by the following Wednesday within 4 appointments. Good things take time, because I didn't have to go back. Brian and his wife are two of the friendliest, most kind and knowledgable people I have met in the field. I had called to schedule my appointment and scheduled it for 8:45 am, they told me to arrive 15 mins early for paperwork (standard, no prob). I received a notification late Friday evening saying my appointment was scheduled for 9 am. I was already confused on the different time, so I showed up at 8:35, i filled out the paperwork, then waited, and waited and waited. At 9:18 I was taken back by a chiropractic assistant to go into this office that I was instructed to watch a 7 minute video. It was a waste of time! Then when the video was done, I waited and waited and waited. I finally went back and the doctor and I talked about pains and he said he wanted me to do xrays, no prob as I know this is normal for chiropractors. But there was SO MUCH time I was just sitting by myself waiting. I thought a new patient appointment would be efficient and make me feel like I am cared about but all the excess time spent waiting I was just glad the appointment was free. I am definitely not going to continue care with them based on the experience I had.
