What an incredible experience…read more When I went in for my consultation with Dr. Eileen Zhuo and her assistant, I wasn't even healthily skeptical of Chinese medicine, non-Western practices and acupuncture. I was convinced they didn't work at all. But I also felt like I had nothing to lose. I'd been suffering from severe, two-week-long PMS that basically left me incapacitated, chronically lethargic and sick - for half my life. My period cramps were even worse. I was taking approximately 5-12 Advils a day (200 mg/pill) for several days to combat the cramps, assuring the eventual destruction of my liver. I was prescribed Ketoralac for pain management by my ob/gyn, a medication with a black box warning.
