Hospo stores are great if you just need a few extra sets place settings of cutlery or a few odd extra glasses for a dinner party! The dishwashers look a lot better designed than our current german built bosch dishwasher which is a few years old now. The showroom had a decent range of their products on show so you can really get a good idea of what they look like and how they work. We had previously called the service line for Miele to ask some initial questions. The service technician we spoke with was very knowledgeable and helpful. Miele does their own servicing and repairs which we think is a huge bonus as you never know what standard of service you are going to get when it is a subcontractor. Miele also does the delivery and installation, and will take away the old dishwasher as well so we do not need to arrange a separate hard waste pickup. All in all a positive experience from both the service department and the showroom.

It took me an hour or so to book a service and when I finally got through, I booked and waited on the day for the service person to turn up. No reminder text, no confirmation, just sit around the house waiting for the technician to grace me with his presence. Even my local hairdresser has a confirmation system, it's hardly high tech. As it turns out the appointment was not until the afternoon so I lost a whole day's work just to have a dishwasher inlet valve cleaned out. The service manager "Jeremy" wouldn't even return my call when I tried to suggest how they might improve their service. Moral of the story, Miele technology may be good but don't expect Miele service to be up to a similar standard. Sadly, it's not.
