I bought some fabulous feature cushions, and some gorgeous bowls that on my wage I probably shouldve thought twice about. Oh well. When Im too broke to go out because of my purchases, I can prop up on my cushions, and eat a bowl of ice cream instead! My one complaint (other than my empty bank account) was that service was very average. I wasnt approached at all for the first ten minutes in the store, because the sales people were busy chatting. Neither said anything until I approached them at the counter to ask a question, and make my purchase. Perhaps they thought my cushion buying was inadequate, or maybe just didnt notice me. The warehouse has 'other' 20th century pieces that have been hand picked and shipped from Europe (mostly France and Italy), but that have not been deemed worthy of the flashy Applied Arts showroom. I could not believe how incredible this stuff is - there's a massive pink velvet quilted bedhead, huge industrial brass ceiling lights, ultra-sleek modernist lounge suites and a sideboard that is big enough to hide over ten corpses in. Or, you know, a lot of crockery. The building itself is pretty cool too - it really looks like an old school warehouse, the type you'd want to convert into a home and fill with this furniture if you had a spare couple of mill. The warehouse is open by appointment, or on Saturdays from 10 til 4. Well worth a visit for lovers of antiques.

It is now May 2023, no sign of any new covers, and the customer 'service' continues to fob me off, even claiming the Australian Consumer Law does not apply to this company. I have offered to pay to upgrade to a higher quality of leather, but have been told this is not possible! 6. Resubmitted my claim to VCAT as I have zero faith this company cares at all about its customers or quality of product.
