Besides being very affordable, a 10 pass is $100, it is a high quality workout. More importantly, the routine is not the same, she shows modified versions of challenging exercises and the atmosphere is very friendly and cooperative. I took a break for 2 mths. due to work issues and really felt the difference, the good thing is Amy assured me it all comes back quickly and after 4 sessions I definately feel back in shape. I've been going to classes here for over seven years. It is the best workout because all your…read moremuscles are worked in a 60 minute class and that includes wonderful stretching after each muscle group is worked. The stretches feel so good and keep us from getting bulky muscles. I am much stronger now than I ever was. This method helps not only my body, but helps my mind to focus. It's a hard workout but Jill and the rest of the teachers always change things up and with their patience and good humor make me want to work hard. When you are really old and not in the best of shape (although I have always been athletic) it can be intimidating and depressing to show up at a studio filled with young people who look like goddesses, but from the very first class I felt welcomed and more importantly the instructors didn't think I was nuts. Barre is hard, very confusing at first and so fast, but good news, just about the time, I am ready to give up the class is over. The instructors make it all possible. They never let you doubt you can do it and improve. Since I started in October, going six days a week, I have lost ten pounds, but more importantly, I am seeing real results which keep me going. Ashley, the owner, runs a terrific studio with all kinds of thoughtful touches, like a charging station and a great selection of clothes and the ever-critical socks. Ashley heads up a group of instructors about whom I can't say enough. My daughter who turned me on to Barre in DC plans her workouts around specific teachers she likes, avoiding those she doesn't like as much. At Pure Barre Greenwich, the instructors are all equally good, each with differences, but never a disappointment. I give Pure Baree five stars and urge anyone in the Greenwich area to give it a try. I would recommend that you take a few classes back to back to get the hang of the system which will help you get into the groove and keep you from feeling overwhelmed.

I was new to Pilates so she was really great the first class since it was only four of us she was able to pay a little more attention to my form etc which was very nice of her . I was impressed with how sore I was the following day , I work out 5-6 times a week with a trainer but this class really focuses on all those hard to reach areas like inner thighs , core . I love the combination of breath work, cardio, weights, resistance bands and stretching all in an hour. After only a few classes, I have seen and felt a difference! It does move pretty quickly though. You do need grip socks to participate so bring your own or you'll have to purchase at the store.
