More recently I've been buying baby clothes here because what I love about JCP is their sales and that extends to the children's clothing. At this particular store, the entrance on what I found out was the second floor is does not have any sort of button for disabled folks to enter. It is kind of astounding to me that in the year 2024 this is not standard on basically any entrance door, especially on a building that's less than 100 years old. Also interesting is that the elevator is in one of the further corners of the store, so that seems really helpful for someone with a disability who's trying to visit. They no longer have a Sephora, but they do have a beauty section in the middle of the store. They don't sell the same brands as they did as Sephora, though. I asked if they had the Lancome mascara that I use and they didn't. I'd return if I was in the area but may not make a special trip here. That's what online is for.

There were a lot of 75% off sales on the racks....(NOT) I looked for what seemed for ever, when I did find something nice ,(at a good sale price ) when at the register the cashier told me that it was twice the price on the tag. That some people change the tags...Ugh!!!! Soo disappointed. There were items I would have tried on but It was like 80* inside. I was uncomfortable, and sweating. There were no real customer service, when I was browsing the jewelry department the attendant ignored me, so I walked away. Not worth the aggravation. If you like to wear grandma clothes like from the old SEARS stores this is the place to shop.

Sometimes the stores in disarray like a hurricane happened but the workers are always friendly and outgoing and ready to help you. It's clean and organized and I never have any trouble navigating through the aisles. I'm never walking on anything that someone left on the floor and it never seems like I'm on top of anyone.  And every time I'm here I always find something to take home but who doesn't . It changed substantially over the years. The store has a good location. They had a wide selection and variety. They had almost anything that I could think of that I wanted to buy. But I would say we waited in line for probably a solid 20 minutes. It was just two people working the cash registers. When we left, the line was even longer. So, besides the long lines it's kind of worth it because the deals you can find are absolutely incredible.

I headed straight to the fitting room to try on this cutie and to my surprise it was busted at the seams on both sides and the zipper got caught in the middle. Apparently, someone thought this jumper was a cutie and wanted so bad to squeeze themselves inside. Lucky for me it fitted but just needed a little tender loving care. I went to the check out to see if I could have something off because of the damage and stress someone put on this jumper. The cashier Patricia was such a Doll and polite. Very sweet and attentive young lady. She didn't hesitate to call her manager to the front to assist me. The manager Dotty took one look at the jumper and instantly gave me 50% off. I was thankful that my friend has a good taste, because I absolutely love the product of this shop. They have a lot of Christmas decor. You can choose among those. The Christmas décor has a good quality. There are a lot of cute designs and they are very unique. It will be perfect to design for my house and I bought it. Their service was good, the ambiance was nice; you will really feel the Christmas vibe because of the background music inside. And traffic on 22nd is the worst! I realize this isn't Kohl's fault, but I now avoid that intersection, and all shops there. I do appreciate that the self-check out stations work. I recently visited for an Amazon return and was taken aback to see an elderly woman with a walking…read moreaid, visibly distressed because she had to walk down a broken escalator from the second floor. Only to learn from a staff member that it had been inoperable for several days and the elevator was also out of service. For a major retailer in 2025, that's unacceptable. On top of that, the store feels extremely overstuffed with merchandise, making the aisles cramped and cluttered. It creates a bargain basement vibe instead of the clean, easy to shop experience I once knew. The prices are great when coupons or sales hit, including the 25% offer that you're given when you drop off an Amazon return there. But the overall feel of this location makes it seem like it's in decline, with little effort to improve the customer experience. Note: Amazon returns are on the second floor until 8p. After 8p, it's on the first floor.

I called this store located in North Riverside Mall and they told me that they do not sell counter fit cloths... i then asked for the corp. number where i talked to a man who said he was going to get to the bottom of it...
