Dr. Salamone is terrific and I've been seen by him for many years. Today I met Dr. Forman. First he argued with me about when I was last in his office. My card is right in front of him and he was wrong. Next he argues with me about the frame that are in the tray writing them up. I explained I was not purchasing them but just interested in the price. He seems angry over why they were in the tray. Then he asked me questions like I've never been seen by an eye doctor. I explained my father sold frames to optometrists & I had been around them my whole life. Next he took my own eye glasses away from me. I asked for them back as I can easily keep them in my purse of which he surprised I had with me. Finally he placed his hands on my face of which I didn't like & I move away. Then he said "You have to do exactly what I ask you to do" as if I was 5 years old. I had enough of his highly rude behavior. For the first time in my life I walked out of an office. I said to the front girls that I cannot work with this person & I would come back when the Dr. Salamone was in & Dr. Forman yelled "He is not here anymore." I'm so sad over this development. I will not be returning to that yucky disrespectful rude old man who is the owner. read more

My wife and kids went to have their eyes exams. Dr. Forman was awesome and handled the kids easily. The way all the staff here treats their customers is so welcoming and makes us all feel like family. The only reason it's not 5 stars is the fact that we wish there were even more of a selection on frames but other than that, Amazing! I have been going to Dr. Forman's office for over 8 years. Dr. Salmone, who runs the La Mirada office has been great. He is very friendly and caring but most importantly his exams are very thorough. Dr. Salmone always puts his patients first. I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Salmone. In addition, Marie and the staff are also very friendly. It's like walking into a friends house aka its a very causal office. So be aware of that kinda setting. And the office can be very disorganized at times but overall I would recommend giving Dr. Salmone and his staff a chance. read more

This was my 1st time here with Dr Mark Forman, previous 15 years I've been going to an eye doctor in Mission Viejo off La Paz. Dr Forman took care of me, this is 30 miles out of my way but way worth the drive. They took my insurance from retail clerks, the price was very affordable where my previous eye doctors price kept going up and there quality went down. I'm so happy, I was able to buy two pairs of glasses for less then one last year, also last year ai went back to La paz three times for them to get it right, I was never happy but I settled. Today I'm wearing my new glasses from dr Forman and I'm seeing great for 1/3 of the price. I'm happy I found this place and am making an appointment for my wife next. Thanks read more

By far the most UNPROFESSIONAL and DISORGANIZED optometrist office I have ever been too. 2/26/13 - Came in for my appointment with Dr. Salamone. Went pretty well. I ordered four boxes of contacts with my insurance. Was quoted $45 dollars a box by Marie, the lady at front desk. 3/8/13 - Came to pick up contacts and was only given two boxes. Apparently I was misquoted and the contacts are $70 a box. Ok fine, a little annoyed, but I have $40 in credit to apply to my third box. I order one more box.... 4/16/18 - It took freaking 1.5 MONTHS for one box of contacts to ship!!! I even had to call in multiple times to make sure that the order was placed. I get my third box, was about to pay and then Marie and the other lady at the desk realized there was an error. It wasn't $70 a box, now it $55 a box but they would give me the original price I was quoted at ($45/box) since it was THEIR MISTAKE. The third box was covered by my insurance and so we order a fourth box to complete my order. It was what I was owed originally and my insurance paid for. Marie promises to place the order. 3 weeks later....still no word. I call in and Marie can't find any information anywhere. I have to explain everything over the phone again and she promises to put in the order. 6/3/13 - Nothing at all. I have to call in again and MY ORDER WAS NEVER PLACED. I have to explain the entire situation again and apparently now the contacts are $70 a box again. WTF. And the lady over the phone "promises" that she will let Dr. Foreman know my situation. And as I am writing this Yelp review (6/28/13) I have not heard back from Dr. Foreman or received my last box of contacts. Seriously, how hard is it to order a box!? And we can discuss the payment in person when I come pick it up. If we can't come to an agreement then I won't take the contacts. Had an appointment at 5. Filled out the paperwork and looked around for any frames that intrigued me. Lots of empty cases and shelves. But they do have name brand frames. (Gucci, Bebe, juicy couture, Anne Klein, Nike, timex, penguin and others) Got called back by Dr. Forman and he examined my eyes. He was very nice and friendly. He was personable and made sure I want getting the right prescription since I couldn't tell "which one was better, 1 or 2?." I swear they all looked the same to me ahaha. But he was very patient and double checked everything. My insurance, VSP, allowed me to get free frames from a certain wall, but I liked the brand name ones better. I couldn't choose from 3 of them in the end and the lady working there helped me out. Minus 1 star for the empty cases and the variety but overall pretty good read more

Went back to Dr. Forman after almost two years, my prescription has changed slightly, and that's normal. I found another stylish pair of frames. They came in a timely manner, and are amazing. The staff was so generous and they helped me decide which frames fit my face the best. 10/10 would continue to go back. read more

Dr. Forman and Dr. Salamone are excellent eye doctors. I have relied on them for my eyeglasses needs and found them to be very thorough and professional. The office staff is always pleasant and efficient and I have liked the frames that I've gotten through them. If it weren't for Dr. Forman, I might be blind today because he diagnosed my glaucoma before too much damage had been done. I would highly recommend them for you eye care and eyeglasses needs. My family and I have been coming here for over 10 years and they have always gone above and beyond in taking care of us. The front office staff is always professional and super friendly. Dr. Solomone does a great job with our exams and makes his recommendations based on the results and not to try to sell us something. This is hard to find in a business now-a-days. Don't bother. Go elsewhere. The most unprofessional place in LM. Dr Forman paced the office lecturing employees and getting upset in front of patients. Got loud w employees asking why patients canceled and ordered the girl to call them and tell them not to come back. Then yelled at an employee asking why 3 were scheduled at once (my husband, daughter, n son). My husband got so upset w his unprofessional attitude and demeanor that he went to leave and Dr Forman actually yelled at him and said "Go, go and don't come back!" Are u kidding me?? And then the next week they call me. After I got my contacts they kept calling me and calling me about my insurance info when I gave it to them before I even made the appointment. And I finally had it when she said "i dont know what kind of crap this is" excuse me??? And she kept saying "i dont know how to say your name" like again WHAT ?? My family has been coming here for years and tho they were disorganized my family and I put up with it because they were nice and I could get my Nike glasses. Today the owner of this place was here and he was horrible . He was yelling at his employees infront of customers and interrupting them while they were trying to help just to scold them. Then he's telling them to call people who cancelled their appointments and to tell them not to come back that he doesn't need their business. We couldn't believe this was happening right in front of us. We were waiting since 3:30 for our appointment, it was about 4:05 when we had heard enough and got tired of hearing him complain with not help. So we told him we wanted to leave because he was making us uncomfortable and he yells at us "Well I'm not talking to you!!" So we said we were leaving and he goes"FINE GO!!BYE ..BYE LEAVE!!!!" And our actual optometrist that has always helped us and has been cool was trying to get stay. When the useless owner yells at him and told him no, to just let us leave. I can not believe this happened and will never return. Hopefully the optometrist will open his own practice because he has always been cool. read more

Go else where..I have been a patient here for approximately 10 years, but this place is a joke. The girls at the front desk have been there forever and it seems like they started yesterday because they have no idea what they are doing. The older doctor yells at his employees and his patient's, what is that all about. Now I understand what all the other comments posted are about. I've seen it first hand. The younger doctor is pretty cool for the fact that he treated me, family and friends as if we were all family. He explained my condition, showed me pictures so I would understand better. Just repeating what everyone has said so far, unprofessional, clueless and sad....While I was waiting for my exam, I could hear the secretary (The older one) talking to a patient and WOW did she have a sailors mouth. SO SO SO SO HORRIBLY BAD! Please save yourself the trip. They are by far the most unprofessional place I have ever been to. I have never written a yelp before but I do not want anybody to make the same mistake I did by choosing to come here. I go in for an exam and the doctor comes out in a checkered shirt jeans and converse I didn't even know he was a doctor. As soon as he came out you can sense his attitude. I couldn't even ask a simple question without seeing his face get irritated and he keeps checking his phone during the whole exam. Not only that I hear everyone arguing about scheduling the wrong appointments and one employee tells the doctor he accidentally mixed up a few prescriptions! Right in front of me! I finally leave and later call to cancel my boyfriends appointment and the receptionist never cancelled it. I call her back and she's literally arguing with me over the phone very upset that I cancelled asking me why over and over again and being so very unprofessional. Never in my life have I dealt with a place like this before. Very upsetting read more

This is the most disorganized and unprofessional business I have ever been in. When I was finished with my exam with Dr. Forman, which he overly chatted through the whole time, I was then sent out to the office to place my order and pick my glasses. Dr. Forman told me "there is a woman out there who talks a lot and good luck you are on your own with her." There was a woman there that was talking to everyone non stop. I could not get my order placed correctly because she would not stop talking. My glasses had to be sent back twice to get them correct. This of course took about 2 1/2 weeks to finally get them correctly. Then a month or so later they call me to tell me I still owed half of my bill. I told them I paid to installments and this was totally paid for. They said they only had one receipt, with which I replied, that didn't surprise me. I had to then fax over two of my credit card statements to show that I had paid in full. This is one of the most incompetent places I have ever seen, most of this is from Maria on the front desk.
