Two years ago I made a commitment to myself to improve my health, and Club Pilates is one of the steps I took to accomplish this goal. I started with a basic membership of 4 classes per month. With my busy work schedule, I appreciate the flexibility of having some evening and weekend classes available. My favorite classes are Reformer Flow 1 and Center+Balance. For a beginner, they offer the perfect amount of challenge coupled with relaxation and rejuvenation. In comparison to other studios that may only offer mat work, Club Pilates has all of the actual equipment that provides a complete full-body workout. Being new to Pilates, I was amazed to find nearly every muscle group benefitting from the classes. Finally, it's not just the classes and equipment, but most importantly the instructors. I have taken classes with many instructors and some of my favorites are April, Jenna, Yuki and Jessica. Cheers

My partner and I discovered Lift when we were coming out of 18 months of Covid restrictions and…read moreneeding a way to get back to healthy habits, exercise, and stress reduction. I found the studio online and of all the studios I looked at, it had the most variety of classes at times that worked for us (after regular working hours and on weekends). We signed up for the initial $20 unlimited 2 weeks pass and crammed in as many classes as we could over that time. Every class we took and every instructor we worked with was fantastic. I did 2 of the video classes as well. Everyone was kind and welcoming. And we loved that every single class and instructor reinforced that everyone's yoga practice is individual and we should feel free to modify as needed and ask for help when needed. We have since purchased multiple of the 30 class packs but I think we'll switch to the monthly rate as soon as we've used all of our classes. We look forward to the 2-3 classes a week we attend; they've become so much a part of our weekly routine that everything feels "off" if we miss one! The fact that Lift has now added a John's Creek location is even better for us, since we split time between my home in Alpharetta and my partner's house in John's Creek - so wherever we are, we can find a class time and location that works. Final note: I can only assume the handful of people giving 1-star reviews and complaining about the studio being "activist" and "political" are anti-maker folks who bristled at being asked to wear a mask and social distance inside the studio. We gladly wore our masks for the first several months we attended and continue to distance while inside the studio when requested. Yoga is not a-political. The very essence of yoga requires truth, justice, peace, and learning - and yes, activism. Anyone who doesn't understand that doesn't understand yoga.

I really appreciate everything she did to lead an authentic yoga session, and the extra touches such as the handouts explaining traditional yoga poses! The studio is beautiful and spacious (the Moon room), and all the equipment is in excellent condition (new!). I'm an out of towner who has been trying different studios in the Alpharetta area, looking for a practice similar to what I follow in Charlotte - and I think I've found it! I will be back - thank you Lift Yoga and Kember!

I love how empowering the women are here. I never felt out of place or uncomfortable. I'm not in the best shape, but I never felt judged or anything like that. The trainers make a point to welcome you to every class and always stay behind to answer any questions or just to chitchat. I go roughly twice a week and love seeing familiar faces. I use ClassPass so booking a class is always super easy. The environment is clean. They offer water bottles if you forget to bring your own. They provide mats, weights, and whatever else you may need for the class. I would recommend this studio for sure.

Everyone is welcome the same--like an old friend, like a smart badass person who is capable of living their best life, like a wise old soul who has every amazing chance to learn to trust themselves and make the decisions to move, breathe, and sweat from a place of self awareness, empowerment, and a desire to find their own warmest light. The instructors are amazing. Barre3 has its own formula of balancing full-body strength work with stretching and cardio to give a well-rounded experience, but each instructor brings their own personality and passion to their classes, making each session familiar enough for you to be your best in that moment while being unique, different, and an absolute adventure! Every time I come to barre3 I am full of joy and so much happiness and excitement to be there. Every time I leave the studio and go out into my life I feel strong, confident, and really proud of myself. My cup is full. And then the day after every class--my body feels the workout in a really big way! My barre3 classes provide a great way to balance the big muscle-focused work I do in strength sessions at a more all-purpose gym and the intense cardio I do on a spin bike. There's a huge emphasis on the smaller muscle groups that too often get ignored, and incorporating barre into my exercise schedule helps me make sure that my cranky right hip and my arthritic knee have enough muscular development surrounding the joints that I am able to complete all of my other workouts--stronger, happier, more free and confident! I can not recommend this place enough. It feels like home. And each time I am there I am reminded to feel completely at home in my own beautiful, strong, wildly imperfect body.

A great experience for a first timer…read more Let's start with the basics, parking was easy and convenient (free too for anyone unfamiliar with the area). The young lady at the check in desk was very sweet. They have lockers positioned in the front, which is convenient for you to put your things in there. They sell water and energy drinks if needed. The studio is very clean and very well kept as well. Amanda was my instructor and what a joy she was. I was very nervous as it was my first time taking a Pilates class. Not to mention , I signed up (unbeknownst to me at the time) one of the harder classes. I thought to myself, yikes! Maybe I should come back to a beginner's level class. But Amanda was so encouraging, and informed me I could modify some movements, and she mentioned that she would position me near some folks who are pretty seasoned and would be able to help if I needed some guidance. I didn't know exactly what I was expecting, but that class kicked every ounce of my butt, but in the same breath, I will also say it's probably the best workout I have ever done. I worked parts of my body that I didn't even know existed lol! There were so many moments throughout the class that I thought to myself... Can I make it through? But Amanda was right there cheering me on and motivating me every moment of the way. This definitely exceeded my expectations for a first time Pilates experience. As difficult as the workout was for me... I made it through :) and since I was so proud that I did, I booked myself another class next week. I have to give another kudos to Amanda, I think having the right instructor when it comes to any workout class, plays a big part on your ability to push yourself through.

Over the past week, the additional classes I took had the same great & some intense Instructors with the same objective of pushing you to finish strong. One Instructor had me say a few choice words to myself after class, yet all with love & light. & only after the next day of recovery - LOL. The encouraging emails after your class simply rock...or should I say glide? I give myself a B- for showing up & returning with no shame in taking breaks during class to recalibrate my lower back/core, hence why I'm here. Agreed that the membership prices are a little steep. However, the 2 Week Unlimited offer is the right opportunity to learn a new fitness regime & boost your overall health before making any commitments. Regardless of which Instructor is at the front desk everyone is welcoming & engaging while motivating you not to walk out the door - *smile*. Very good client service across the "Sweatlana" board.
