The first few weeks was (understandably) a bit tough for my kiddo as he adjusted to not being at home and the center of attention. Within two months, my kid started LOVING this school, and looking forwards to going in the mornings. Now, at 2.5 years old, he goes 5 days a week and he still loves it. He has made friends, and chatters so positively about all of his teachers. I love that whenever we drop him off or pick him up, all the teachers know and greet him by name, and her recognizes all of them as well. The teachers really make an effort to get to know all the kids, even ones not in their class. I love the community feel of this school, and I love how much all the teachers really care. The curriculum is great - there are a TON of extra activities that are organized by the school (firefighter and policeman visits, carnivals, egg hunts, holiday events etc etc etc). The school itself is a half-day program (9-1) with additional 'afterschool activities' (1-2) that you can sign your child up for. They do follow the Gwinnett Public School calendar for school holidays/closings, but they do offer some weeks of 'summer school' programs as well. Brand new locker rooms with steam, sauna, and whirlpool make the fitness experience feel legitimate. During the summer, there is a beautiful pool complex with three separate pools for all ages. Programming is thoughtful and the facilities are clean. For tennis and pickleball, the courts are kept in great condition. I play pickleball ~4x per week via organized groups, open play, or Pickleheads and can always find a game. Cadranel's Corner has great food and drink, and the staff are all super friendly. I've made some of my best ATL friends at the MJCCA. Their preschool is excellent and we can't wait to send our daughter. 5/5 this place has made Atlanta home and we are forever indebted.
