    El Presidente Pasta

The restaurant is beautiful and very spacious. Everyone was interacted was very friendly and refreshing. We sat at the bar for a quick, light dinner. The bartender made us some very tasty martinis. It's always a plus when the bar offers blue cheeses stuffed olives for martinis. The food however was a bit underwhelming. Everything fell flat in flavor. Even a touch of salt would've helped. We started with the Short Rib Bao Bun appetizer. They were would good but far from great. I would opt for a different starter. The entrees were also disappointing. My boyfriend ordered the chicken parm, which was a good/ safe option. I ordered the El Presidente Pasta which was a pasta in a rigatoni pasta in a creamy brown sauce with mushrooms and short rib. I would say the dish lacked in flavor, salt and execution. The sauce was not very creamy and the short rib was tough, there were even some pieces so hard to chew I had to spit them out. Considering all of the great places to eat in Rahway, I would not put Fork at the top of my list. I think their menu is a bit confusing. They identify as a Modern American restaurant but most of their dishes were Italian inspired. It would've been nice if either their menu offered more range or they rebranded as an Italian inspired restaurant and perfected their current dishes.

I got together with my friend to get dinner. When I arrived I found parking on the street. I walked into a really nice restaurant! We were served by Alejandra and she was awesome! We ordered: Espresso Martini French 75 Octopus Elote Pizza El Presidente Short Rib King Salmon brown butter cake I loved that martini and I also loved the octopus! And the brown butter cake was amazing! We had a really great experience!

    Angry pasta with shrimp

Ive been wanting to go to Fork since the summer. Ended up making it in after the new year. The Holiday drink menu was still available as were all the holiday decorations. Parking is really difficult in Rahway. I recommend parking in the garage. They will validate it for you just bring your ticket in. I ordered the Fig 75 to drink. Loved it! I'm a huge fan of a French 75 so this was a really cute play on it. My friend ordered The Mean One but we couldn't taste the apple in the drink. She ended up switching it to the Pear Wonderland which she enjoyed much more. We got the beef empanadas and a greek salad for appetizers. I enjoyed the empanadas. Unfortunately our greek salad didn't arrive until after we got our entrees but they were so good. My friend ordered the shrimp fettuccine and I got the chef's angry pasta with shrimp. My entree was good but wasn't too spicy. My friend liked her pasta but it wasn't her favorite. Service was really good. There were some hang ups but we got everything we ordered and our server was the the amount of attentive. I have 4 stars because our greek salad came out late and parking is a nightmare.

A very pleasant place. Located in a nice area in Rahway, met with a friend and had some of their seasonal cocktails. Their gingerbread espresso martini was delicious, and also their "mean one"!. The service was great, so patient with us and very kind. Their fried calamari was really good, as well as their gnocchi. Well done!

Came here for Mother's Day "brunch" with my sisters on a beautiful Sunday. We made reservations so wait time was minimal. We found street metered parking immediately. We ordered the calamari, octopus and caesar salad. The salad was good. The calamari had teriyaki sauce on it. The octopus was cooked okay but the sauce with the corn and peas was not appetizing. For our entrees, we ordered lobster ravioli, 2 short ribs, salmon, and pasta. None of us liked our foods. All the food was bland, no flavor, no seasoning, lacked salt and pepper. We did not finish our food due to the taste. My lobster ravioli lacked seasoning and sauce. It felt like it was microwaved as the top of my ravioli was dry and only saucy on the bottom The restaurant is beautiful and the service is good. But the food we had was a complete miss. I tried to order a drink that contained blood orange but they didnt have any. So i settled with lemon drop martini and it was good.

Great classic American restaurant! Got their strawberry salad and calamari which were both delicious - love the free bread too! For my meal I got this massive ribeye which literally was so big I made it 3 meals! Service was great, vibes were nice as well. Would highly recommend when in the Rahway area!

Great to see a number of very good restaurants in downtown Rahway. These are especially useful when people come to Rahway for a show at UCPAC - main stage or smaller Hamilton Theatre. That was the case last evening when eight friends met for a 5 pm Spyro Gyra show and then went out to eat. One of the ladies in our group suggested Fork and we all agreed to try it. Everyone was satisfied with the experience. Fork is a cool, trendy place. Some come to sit at the bar (3 screens broadcasting sports when we were there), but most come to sit at tables to eat and drink. Not the sort of place I normally frequent. Service was quite attentive throughout. Some had mixed drinks, we had wine at $12/glass. Our party ordered all sorts of entrees and there were no complaints. I ordered a special Red Snapper, $36 and my lady ordered Chicken Milanese $26; both entrees were quite good. My only complaint is that this eatery gets very noisy when full (as when we were here Saturday evening),

The service was amazing Alejandre was so sweet she made the experience better. Down to us having a shaky table which we were annoyed by she noticed it on her own and came back and put something under the table to fix it. I went Valentines Day and was lucky enough to get a seat we came at the perfect time. As for food they had a curated Vday menu so I'm not sure what the menu is usually like. Had a lychee martini and a pineapple margarita so did my date they were good. My date said the calamari was delicious. I had the steak it wasn't cooked how I like it even after I sent it back it was extremely red. That was my only issue. The steak was good though the little bite I ate lol. Will be back for happy hour.

I really liked the ambiance here. I would return to sit at the bar. The food was really good too, I would recommend the sushi pizza.

Disappointed and won't be back. I placed a pickup order over the phone for the tuna tostada, calamari, and steak frites. My dad picked it up and said the total came out to $82.36 -- for just two appetizers and one entree. When I called to ask about the pricing, I was told they were running a "special" Mother's Day menu, which bumped the steak frites from $30 (as listed online) to $42 -- with no mention of this over the phone when ordering. That might have been acceptable if the food was at least good, but it wasn't. The steak was overcooked, the fries were soggy because they poured the au jus over everything instead of keeping it on the side, and the calamari was bland. At least they put the sauce for the calamari on the side but that didn't make up for the lackluster flavors. To top it off, the person I spoke with over the phone was dismissive and unhelpful. Walking into an empty restaurant on a holiday weekend should have been my dad's warning sign. Sadly, this experience was not worth the money or the hassle.

Beautiful, beautiful restaurant in downtown Rahway. The food was delicious here. Everything everyone had was so good. The highlight of my evening was definitely the fish and chips. It was delicious, it had the perfect touches like pickled onions fresh tartar sauce, on top of warm fish and french fries. We had a large party for a friend of ours and everything was so accommodating. Prices are fair. Parking can be annoying in this area, but you can find some thing a block or two away or park in the parking garage. Definitely recommend check this out.

For starters we had the shrimp tacos!!! $17 for 2 but worth every penny! And they were by far The best I've ever had!! Very fresh toppings and perfectly seasoned. We also subbed the cheddar cheese for the smoked Gouda and omg chefs kiss!! Ordered it medium and It was cooked perfectly! For drinks we had a coke soda $3.50 and an uptown girl (lychee martini) $14 Both were good. The servers were really nice. The vibe was laid back. The volume of the music was perfect. The bathrooms were really clean. If ever in the area again I'd definitely come back!

Though residing in a small former train station, it doesn't feel overly cramped, and the service was attentive enough to keep people moving. The meal itself felt a little over the top, with lots of flavors that didn't always meld well. We started with Nachos with Manchego Queso, which were not worth $18 even though the flavor was good. The order wasnt quite enough for two hungry people, though we also didn't opt for additional protein on top. We went with tacos for our main dish, and there we found the chicken to be the clear winner. The meat was hot, juicy, and complete with a hint of spice that brought the heat in all the right ways. Unfortunately, the brisket felt like the opposite experience, suffering from a sauce that had far too earthy of a flavor, which wasn't well-balanced with the cilantro that covered the meat. I needed to douse these ones in the spicy side sauce to make them palatable. Finally, we tried maize fries out of curiosity. I am no longer curious about corn fries - they were bland, with a texture and look of a French toast stick but with none of the satisfying taste. If I returned, I'd do it for drinks in the beautiful bar area. But when the drinks are done and it's time to eat, I'd recommend hitting the tracks.

We sat outside, when treated by the waiter we asked about the happy hour specials. He stated only if you sit at the bar. We asked if we could have the specials outside so we could keep our waiter. They agreed or so we thought. We ordered drinks and the waiter seemed irritated when we put our order in for food. He walked away as we started to tell him what we wanted. One of my friends ordered a drink that tasted like pure syrup. She asked him if he could take it back since it was undrinkable. He brought the bar tender out and he had an attitude about the drink saying he made it and it's fine. At this point with the rude arrogant behavior we don't want the food now. We canceled our order and asked for the check. The hostess offered the margarita flatbread for free and we declined. The waiter and bartender were very rude. He brought our check and surprise it was not the happy hour prices they had said they were charging. It's a shame this place is beautiful and has ample parking. The wait staff except for the hostess will have this place shutting down with the way they treat people.
