Fork & Kitchen is the place to go for good energy, brunch vibes, and, most importantly, the right group of people! The food may not be the main attraction, but you'll still leave satisfied. What really pulls you in is the energy, the cool playlist in the background, the "who's who" coming through the door, friendly staff, and guests who came ready for a brunchin' good time. This is one of those spots where the people, music, drinks, and atmosphere make the experience. So grab your crew, come ready to vibe, and if you're in the Rockville area, definitely stop by and show them some support!

Fork'd Wings

I met up with friends for brunch at Fork & Kitchen in Rockville and got a good mix of the menu to try. We started with the Fork'd Wings in Garlic Parm, Blueberry Swirl Biscuits, and the Sinful Eggs Sampler, which came with bacon, shrimp, lobster, and a crab ball. The sampler was a fun way to try several different flavors, and the blueberry biscuits were a nice sweet addition to the table. For my entrée, I ordered the Seafood Grits, loaded with shrimp, crab, bacon, peppers, and creamy grits. It was a generous portion and definitely filling. Overall, the food was good and everything looked great coming out of the kitchen, but nothing really stood out enough that I'd make a special trip back. Service was also a little spotty. Our server was friendly and took our orders without any issues, but some of the smaller requests, like drinks, refills, and extra utensils, took longer than expected. Overall, a decent brunch experience with some creative menu options and good food. I'm glad we tried it, but for me, it's probably a one-and-done spot rather than somewhere I'd rush back to.

Saw Fork & kitchen all over social media and wanted to give it a try. We were told that they were not able to sit walk ins at tables when we arrived so we sat at the bar. The service was good! They were attentive, answered our questions, and even anticipated our needs at certain points. We ordered pancakes and the seafood grits. The pancakes surprised us. They were very thick and kind of dry, almost the texture of cornbread. One pancake is more than enough in my opinion. The seafood grits were fantastic. The flavor was on point and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. I'm open to coming back to try more menu items, but the experience was just average to me as a first timer.

Food, service and ambiance were great. We had an 11:15am reservation on a Saturday and were seated as soon as we arrived. Drinks and food came out very fast. The grits of the seafood grits weren't very hot. The blueberry biscuit tasted more like a cake/cornbread than a biscuit but was still lacking flavor. All other items were very tasty ! The brownie/ice cream dessert was very good ! Only major complaint was that we were not made aware that gratuity was already included in the bill so we double tipped and only found out after the transaction was completed.

They really lived up to the hype. The service was great (except for some hovering busboys...but they were sweet). The drinks were good and the food was delicious. I went for brunch and will find a time to go for dinner. Definitely a must try.

Southern Breakfast

I went to Southhouse Garden not to long ago and they mentioned to me they'd be opening up a restaurant called Fork & Kitchen (F&K). I love south house so I had to give F&K a shot. I booked reservations on a Sunday at 12. Parking wasn't fun. There is a small parking lot near Trader Joe's. You have to pay everyday. F&K is the inner part of the plaza with a horrible white sign and black lettering that is somewhat high. I almost walked by it twice. We walked in and the inside is pretty large. The uncomfortable air smacked us in the face though. It appears as the the AC was not working as there were about 3 floor AC units throughout the restaurant trying to keep inside cool. We were quickly seated for our reservation. Our waitress was nice. She covered the menu and recommended some favorites. I got the Southern Breakfast with an order of F&K pancakes. My wife got the French toast with peaches and mixed berries. About 25 minutes go by and our order finally arrived. The southern breakfast was a good bang for your buck. Real eggs, thick bacon, somewhat seasoned potatoes and toast. A hearty breakfast for sure. The pancakes are HUGE!!! They come to the table in syrup but that's not enough. These are extremely dense pancakes. The syrup does not reach the inside and can becoming overwhelming at times. One would have been enough as it's the size of 2/3 regular pancakes. My wife enjoyed her thick and fluffy French toast. The berries were fresh. Overall it was a cool experience. I wasn't blown away like I thought I would be. The food was reasonably priced. Nothing bad. If I lived in the area I'd probably return. I'm curious to their dinner selection. I may return one day if I'm in the area and the AC is fixed.

Dined here with a couple of friends for my birthday and it was a great experience. The decor was modern and very chic. The staff was friendly and professional. And the food was delicious It's a great spot to meet up with friends and dine with family. They had a bar and plenty of seating. I like that the windows could be opened to see outside and enjoy whatever entertainment is happening in the square. We all enjoyed our food and look forward to coming back for brunch one day.

I recently went back, and I have to say there has been a noticeable improvement since my last visit. The service was great, and the food was even better than I remembered. The highlight of the meal was definitely the seafood grits, they were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The breakfast tacos were also very good, along with the burger, wings, crème brûlée French toast, and peaches. The crème brûlée French toast continues to be a standout item, and the mac and cheese was spot on this time. I really enjoyed it and could tell there was a significant improvement from my previous visit. What impressed me most, however, was the customer service. Our party was running very late due to a severe traffic accident that caused major delays on our commute. We called ahead to let the restaurant know, and they were incredibly accommodating. Even though we arrived close to the end of brunch service, they encouraged us to still come and made us feel welcomed when we arrived. At no point did we feel rushed, and the staff went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience. That level of understanding and hospitality really stood out to me. It made us feel valued as guests and added to what was already a great dining experience. Between the improved food and exceptional customer service, this visit completely changed my impression, and I'll definitely be returning.

Walking in the place gave off a more Greek/ olympia vibe imo. It's nice and spacious and very modern? Service was pleasant as the waitress checked up on us many times to make sure we were enjoying everything :) French toast 5/5: soft, fluffy and delicious. I asked for both the peach and berries flavor but on the side and I actually really loved the peach French toast! The berries did add a nice tartness though! I'd definitely come back for this. Pancake 2/5: it's a THICK pancake but not fluffy and very crumbly. It kinda crumbles in your mouth. I'd expected a more fluffy soft pancake :/ Sinful eggs 5/5: I actually forgot I was eating a fried egg!! It was that tasty and unique of an experience!!

The fork Larger parties The vine smaller tables The commons 2-6 people The rock right at the front door They don't tell you this on the site so the above should help. I walked in there is no hostess stand or hostess when you get there so I walked over to the bar and someone sat me. I think I waited about 10 minutes before someone even said hi to me once I was seated. Yes I timed it. No one asked if I wanted water nothing the waitress walked to every single table in my section and just walked pass me ? The other waitress came to the section took payments right at the table in front of me and then walked away. The person who sat me thankfully bright me water at the 12 minute mark. The French toast was great fruit on the side. Steak was mostly fat. Catfish was great deviled egg filling was too dry We ended our day with a rat running across the resturant and no manager coming out to excuse the little ratty just running around

Located in the former Eko House and Bar Louie. I like the modern, sleek vibe in Fork & Kitchen. Parking is convenient and reasonable in the nearby garage (garage C). There's also metered street parking. I've visited twice so far. First was for happy hour about a month ago. They have some good appetizers. I liked the lamb meatballs. The sangria was good. The second time was recently for brunch . I think brunch is more popular. It's the pancakes! I wish they had more variety in the items. We split a half mimosa tower and it was enough for our party of four. Definitely worth it. The full tower is alot (you will need rideshare). Friendly staff but service could really use some improvement (i.e. being more attentive, checking in with the party after food is brought out). We had items that were never put in. Two of us ordered the Southern breakfast platter, the toast never came out. The potatoes were mostly hard and inedible. I did let our server know and she was kind enough to offer a fresh batch (it was better). Someone ordered coffee and they never got it. Just little things that could have made the experience much better. As I said, room for improvement. I wish to see Fork & Kitchen grow and hope they implement some changes.

Food was mediocre at best. Ordered braised beef as an entree and it was far from being tender and moist. It was dry as a hockey puck.

Then nothing happened. The few servers moved slowly and although they passed near our table on several occasions, none had the courtesy to even tell us, "Someone will be with you shortly" or something. Thankfully, the runner who seated us, (a kind and helpful gentlemen who got a separate tip) noticed and got Daniel to visit our table. My gin martini was excellent and the water was cold. We ordered several plates, which arrived rather quickly. The homemade hummus with the carrots and pickled onions was fantastic. We'd take creamy and delicious hummus like that any day. The deviled eggs were wonderful and came with an extra kick thanks to the jalapeno. Gnocchi with parmesan, carrots, and asparagus was creamy, comforting, and filling. The lamb over hummus, with their rich homemade gravy, rivaled any amazing lamb dish I had anywhere. The portions were phenomenal. I have been to places that give half as much with the same prices. The chef and kitchen staff are incredible. We'll definitely return to try new dishes but we hope the service is much improved.

Once we walked in we were greeted by the friendly hostess. She immediately sat us at our table. Next, our waiter came over to our table and explained the menu and made some awesome suggestions. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. We decided to order the spring rolls for an appetizer as well as the Kapow, and Southerners Comfort. The spring rolls were very tasty. They had great flavor and were cooked to perfection. The Southerners comfort was delicious. Super spicy which I asked for and enjoyed. The chicken was super tender. The Kapow was very flavorful and the rice was a great addition to both dishes. It definitely helped with spice of the Southerners comfort. I also order the Crazy Thai Lady drink which was great. It was a Thai version of a margarita. It had a great balance of tartness and sweetness and you could really taste the lemongrass which was very refreshing. Overall, we had a great time! From service to the food it was awesome. I will be back soon especially because this location is so close to me. We ended up sitting at a table and enjoyed a variety of dishes along with some happy hour drinks. The ambiance is clean, modern, and pretty cool. The service was fairly quick overall, and our food arrived fresh without much waiting. My first drink was the white sangria, which was well-balanced, moderately sweet, and refreshing. The wines we tried also had great flavor. The happy hour deals on the alcohol menu are especially generous, so I highly recommend taking advantage of them. The ceviche sampler included traditional, cremoso, and callejero. Each ceviche was unique and packed with flavor. My personal favorite was the street-style ceviche, callejero. The tostones, or crispy fried plantains, were light and crunchy. My partner isn't a big fan of mayo-forward sauces, but he really enjoyed the crab salad topping because it paired well with the tostone. My favorite was the shrimp topping as the shrimp were perfectly cooked and well-seasoned. The conchitas a la parmesana was another interesting dish featuring seared scallops. They were grilled with a creamy Parmesan sauce and served with ciabatta. I found that the sauce was a little overpowering and took away from the scallop itself, but I really enjoyed eating it with the ciabatta. Lastly, we ordered two empanadas: one chicken and one made with a mix of sirloin and tenderloin. The dough was a little too oily for my taste, but it was thin and flaky. The chicken and beef fillings had slightly different seasonings and textures, and both were enjoyable. If I could add one thing, I wish our server had explained more about the menu or drinks when she asked whether it was our first time there. She also wasn't around the table consistently, which made it a little difficult to order additional drinks and dishes. Other than that, we really enjoyed the meal, and I'm glad we came here. I'd love to come back for brunch or another happy hour!
