David was the worst vendor I had to interact with on the day of my wedding. Leading up to the day he was very professional, our zoom meeting and phone calls were all standard and helpful. The day of the wedding he completely changed his attitude. While my husband and father-in-law were waiting with him to walk down the aisle, right before the ceremony, David told them he hates weddings. He later clarified it was due to the heat, but it was an inappropriate comment to make right before our ceremony. During the ceremony he forget the ring exchange and I had to remind him mid-ceremony, right before our kiss, to do the rings. The worst part happened after all of this. Despite his attitude and mistake during the ceremony, he had the audacity to "rate our kiss" and told us and the audience he "expected better". This made my husband and I extremely uncomfortable and he ruined the end of what was supposed to be a beautiful, short and simple ceremony. At the end of the day we are happy and married, but looking back my ceremony kiss will always be my least favorite memory of the day, which is pretty depressing. Prior to the pandemic we paid David Cooper the deposit he requested, but when the coronavirus pandemic came along we had to change our wedding plans.  During this time of increased COVID-19 cases and deaths, we were trying to figure out what to do....and then, COOPER started hounding us via email to sign a contract!!   UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! He didn't even ask  "How you guys doing?"  or  "Thought I'd check in and see what your wedding plans are"  or  "Are we OK to move forward with your plans, or have things changed?" NOPE!!!   All he wanted was a signed contract!!!   So we decided to eat the deposit cost and move on, and to use a different officiant.... AND THEN.... THIS JERK CALLED ME UP OUT-OF-THE-BLUE, ACTING ALL SMUG & FULL OF HIMSELF....WITH A LINE OF QUESTIONING AND SUCH!!!   I didn't say it during our short conversation, as I was taken off-guard with his call (which I took while in the middle of a work project), and I wasn't even sure who he was at first....but when I realized it, all I wanted to say was F*CK OFF!!!! Reading some of the other reviews for Forever Together, it looks like they created major problems at other weddings!! DON'T USE THESE CLOWNS TO OFFICIATE YOUR WEDDING..... OR YOUR SPECIAL DAY COULD BECOME A DISASTER!! ------------------------------------- -- UPDATE -- Just saw Forever Together's nasty comments about my review.... The fact is that a PANDEMIC emerged!!! This changes EVERYTHING!! Their finger pointing & self-pity make it very clear that they fail to understand or listen to their costumers, A VERY BAD SIGN FOR ANYONE THINKING OF USING THEIR SERVICES.... ----------------------------------------- - UPDATE 7/16/2020 - Looks like Forever-Together has changed their comments numerous times now....they've deleted their excuses, aggressive postering, and self-aggrandizement...funny thing is, I've noticed how they also post finger-pointing comments for others that don't rate them with high marks!! (my review has become very lengthy, but pales in comparison to their original rebuttal...) All I can say is; "Caveat Emptor" Let the buyer beware.... And if ya really want to know the truth....below are just a few of the not-so-glowing comments that are on non-Yelp sites; ------This is probably the only thing I regret from our wedding. 45 minutes late to the rehearsal, mixed up our names the day of and looked a mess both at the rehearsal and the wedding. Then, when there was a mixup about payment (accidentally underpaid by 40$), we received an email the next day, during our honeymoon, to send it quickly. ------In all of our correspondence Joanne would tell me that when she was there it was all about me and my day. When she arrived, she had not reviewed my ceremony, had not practiced and was not prepared for a special part of it that ended up being dropped because of her lack of experience and preparedness. When she arrived and we found out my dress would be a little late she continually stated "I have another wedding to get to". It seemed that my small private wedding meant nothing to her and all she cared about was getting to this other wedding across town. I felt as though my day meant nothing to her and that she didn't care. When the ceremony did proceed, she rushed through things, quickly read the words,often stumbling over them or leaving some out entirely and asked us questions about the ceremony as the ceremony was progressing. She didn't accommodate our photographer or videographer, she was asked a few times to step aside to allow the shot of the bridesmaid walking in and my entrance, she would not comply and simply stood there like stone, no facial expressions. She made what should have been about a 30 minute cermony last 10 minutes. I felt cheated and let down. I was very unhappy with her services and would advice other brides look at another officiant and only use "together forever" as a last resort. The service they provided for my wedding was horrific and all in all nothing like what they sold me. -----married my husband and I with a small ceremony and only our family attending. To begin with, Joanne was late to the ceremony, she had asked us to be there at 1:45 PM to go over the ceremony but she didn't arrive until nearly 2:00. 15 minutes does not seem terrible long, unless you're in a wedding dress in the middle of fall, it was very cold and very frustrating waiting for her to show up. David is extremely professional. He drove 3 hours and arrive early for our wedding rehearsal, waited another one hour due to our planner was late, he didn't even complain anything. We were so lucky to have David as our officiant for our wedding, since he has many years of experience and was very personable. When we booked him, he e-mailed us several documents offering examples of different ceremony styles to give us some ideas on how to create our ceremony outline. Honestly the whole process was super easy, and he even shared some vows examples for inspiration. We were only able to schedule the ceremony rehearsal on the day of the wedding, but David arrived an hour early before the ceremony and we were able to do a quick walk-through with no issues. He went through our ceremony smoothly and even threw in some humor for a few laughs. We loved our ceremony and David did an excellent job throughout the whole process! read more

Tl;dr: Don't use them if you want a non-traditional or custom ceremony. They are not pleasant to work with. We contacted them a few months before the ceremony and they seemed OK. They presented a bunch of different ceremony choices and I selected the parts I wanted, but didn't get a draft back and found that they were not going to work on it until a week before the wedding. I thought, OK fine, then 5 days before they had not said anything and I asked if we were going to work on it. They asked again for me to select some parts, and I replied back that I had already done so and copied the text back. Now I don't hear back from them until the day before the wedding, learning that they were on a vacation without cell reception and email that didn't work. Which is why nobody picked up the 5 times I called. This is understandable, and they gave us a $25 discount for the confusion. This was nice because I had been scrambling for a replacement and almost had one lined up because it seemed they had disappeared. So we get the first draft the day before the wedding and we are looking it over and decide that the ceremony really isn't us. It's a traditional ceremony with the word "god" removed. So we piece together a new one that we like much more, and send it over. It's rather short and has a bunch of sections like the "consent" dropped out because we think it's a little outmoded. They call the night before the wedding, confused and dismayed that we had changed so much, and told us that they were taking back the discount because they had to practice the new one. It didn't make much sense because all you had to do was read from a piece of paper, but whatever. Finally the day of the ceremony we are doing the rehearsal and she is a bit cranky and tells us she has added the consent part back in. We explain that we wanted it removed and she seems dumbfounded and tells us that 99.9% of ceremonies have a consent. Then during the rehearsal she adds back in the consent, and the whole time she is just being very unpleasant. She also seems annoyed and confused that we changed "you may now kiss the bride" into a more equal "you may now kiss". She's also not very clear in explaining the entrance order, pretty much everyone in the wedding party is confused about what we said and our excellent photographer has to sort it out. So my now-wife takes me aside 30 minutes ahead of the scheduled ceremony time and says we shouldn't have this lady do our ceremony. I agreed, that it seemed like she was really religious and just didn't like or agree with what our ceremony was saying, and that she would do a bad job delivering it. I would have expected a bit more professionalism from someone who claims to give any wedding, including secular, but she was just hostile to us. I'm pretty nervous about switching this late but we ask a friend who happens to be ordained to officiate the ceremony instead and she amazingly agrees. Now Joanne is still freshening up in the bathroom so current wife has to go tell her she's not needed. She pays her the full amount (with no discount) and says that we're sorry, but a wedding ceremony is a personal thing and we don't think she would do it justice. Instead of saying something nice and going on her way, she gets upset and says "I've been doing this for 8 years and no one has ever done this to me!" And "you haven't heard me read it!" Anyway, our friend with a half-hour prep does a great job. We all talked later about how we all independently came to the conclusion that we didn't like her, and how glad we were to switch. read more

We wish we would have payed the extra few hundred for professional officiant. CHEAP ISN'T WORTH THIS EXPERIENCE. Don't use their service just throw this number in the trash cross it out whatever it's a bad choice the worst one we made for our wedding day. THEY ARE AN ELDERLY COUPLE & atrocious service is what you get from these people for their cheap price. Exchanging rings and signing your marriage certificate and license is a lovely moment THIS OFFICIANT RUINED BOTH. SHE HAS NO SELF CONTROL WHATSOEVER IN SOCIAL SITUATIONS. She was Incessantly talking to the wedding party nosy and hanging around hovering and talking about her personal life both bride and groom were annoyed by her unprofessional overly chatty hovering. The officiant was informed why a private ceremony was done later she dropped the rings and forgot that we wanted to sign our marriage liscense as a part of the ceremony (it's all in email correspondence) and she forgot. Then had the nerve to get mad at us when we walked off for our photos. We had photos being taken at Golden hour a specific time of day and planned for the liscense to be a part of the ceremony so it wouldn't interfere with photos. She forgot what we wanted never talked about anything but herself before the wedding. she could have spent that time reviewing the details with the groom & or Bride This woman insulted us it was verbal abuse on our wedding day blaming us for not having guests after forgetting we were having a purposefully private ceremony. She glared at us the whole time we were taking photos yet never mentioned a thing. I kept feeling her glaring and looked over a couple times something was clearly wrong but I didn't have time to stop and check on her by the time we were near her taking photos and I felt her glaring and being weird. Honestly I didn't notice she had forgotten the marriage liscense it all happens fast. So we were oblivious to her irrational anger. She made a mistake that only she realized and took it out on us. You forget that's on you you don't get to take out time for your mistake you lost time because you screwed up lady. And that moody tantrum of hers.......She made everyone uncomfortable she just couldn't keep her mean little comments to herself SO UNPROFESSIONAL. The Forever Together officiant stated to the bride "No wonder nobody wanted to come to your wedding!"She stresses everyone while papers were being signed in a verbal altercation with the wedding party about why she has to wait an hour for pictures to be taken she stormed out and tried to talk badly about the bride to her mother. This woman should never be aloud to officiate again. She is unfit to be apart of any wedding ceremony. She had lipstick arround her mouth none of it was on her lips she looked a mess and it's / she in ALL Of our ceremony photos. STAY AWAY OR REQUEST HER POOR HUSBAND SHE IS HORRIBLE. THE PRICE IS DIRT CHEAP YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. BAD SERVICE UNPROFFESIONAL PAYED TO FIGHT WITH AN OLD LADY CHILD THING OF A HUMAN BEING.
