We contact multiple vendors to come and looks at the issue, but none were as thorough and experienced as Mark and his team. From the beginning to end, the experience has been stellar. Mark arrived to look at the issue promptly. He was able to identify the issue accurately and was honest about the necessary scope of the remediation work. (Other vendors suggest a smaller fix which ,in hindsight, would not have solved our issue in the long run and would require additonal work later on) Throughout the entire process, he constantly communicated the progress of the work and kept us update on the schedule, something that we appreciate since its the first time we have to deal with mold and water issues. Last but not least, Mark and his team take great care in carrying out the work and handling our belongings in the work area. If you need any restoration work done, I definitely recommend Quality Assurance Restoration.

I contacted a few different people, but Mark was the first to be willing to make it out to us that same day. After checking out the damage, he put my mind at ease and gave us the rundown of his plan of running a few fans and dehumidifiers in our utility closest and in the crawlspace. I asked him a bunch of questions I had, and he answered each one with ease and helped me understand what was going on. In the end, Mark and his team set up the fans and dehumidifiers in the spaces and left them for a few days. We were considering getting new tiling and he recommended Jose from Neza Restoration & Repair. Jose and Fernando also did a really good job. What makes Mark stand out from the rest is his availability, clear communication, and just being a down to earth guy. I felt I could trust Mark, and may have overstepped when asking for advice outside of water damage, but was he willing in answering and helping me out. God forbid I have more water damage in my future, but if I do, Mark and his team are the first ones I'll contact. And I'll be referring them to every person I know seeking water damage help from now on.

One day, I walked downstairs to a decent amount of backup, so I gave Roto Rooter a try after trying a less expensive route the last time, and spending a decent amount to have my pipes rodded. They gave me an overview of what was happening, why it was happening and what my options were. They rodded all the drainage, showed me the dropping of city sewer and showed me the condition of my cast iron. Again, they reviewed what I could do to remedy and fix the situation. Due to finances, I opted for a cheaper maintenance option, to add an enzyme to my drain monthly, which kept the rodding fix maintainable. I am currently saving to have them back for a more permanent fix, but I am grateful for how transparent and understanding of financial strain they were, not pushy on which option I chose, even though it was less money. The technicians were great, very helpful and professional, did a good job of cleaning up - left nothing behind but improved drainage. :)

Then, the business contacted me at 10:45 and said they were available earlier, so I left an appointment to go home, but when I arrived, I received another call that stated that they were running behind. I ended up waiting until 2:50 PM for the technician to come, and then he quoted me $725 for the sink, but generously offered a $75 coupon making my overall cost $650! I declined the service and contacted 2 separate area plumbers. Imagine my surprise when I received 2 quotes for under $300. Don't call this business, shop around and find a local plumber. You will literally save hundreds of dollars.

Josh did a thorough investigation of our attic and uncovered an issue which a roofer missed when…read morethey provided us with a quote. Thank goodness we did not go with that roofer. He was able to thoroughly advise us on how to rectify the soffit/attic issue. He was able to remediate a few areas of mold we had on drywall due to not dehumidifying our home and a lack of insulation in two small areas of our attic - too much soffit in two areas of our home. He cleanly cut out the bad drywall and did not cut through the vapor sheeting, underneath. I was pleased that he only cut through what was necessary with surgical skill. Only the drywall was affected in 4 of the small areas. Two areas - around a skylight and one ceiling area did affect a few boards in the attic. They cleaned the boards with a green, botanical product and then encapsulated the affected boards. No fans were used anywhere so mold was contained to affected areas and once drywall was removed, it was immediately bagged and removed from the home. Skylight ceiling was HEPA vacuumed and a HEPA air filtration machine was used in all of the areas while the work was meticulously completed. The bathroom ceiling was cleaned and then painted with a mold resistant coating. Josh thoroughly explained how long the bathroom needed to dry and that no humidity could be created in the bathroom until it was completely dried. He explained that it needed to dry naturally, without a dehumidifier, otherwise the paint might crack. Josh thoroughly explained everything he would do and everything he was using (cleaners, machines, etc.) prior to starting the work. He was an excellent, educated and experienced remediator/communicator. Carol, in the office, was able to calm me down and reassure me when I first called to schedule the job. Another company could not handle my upsettedness about our mold problem and hung up on me. She was able to email me receipts after charges were completed. Her follow-up throughout the process was great despite my changing the work order a few times throughout the process. Her calm, positive, uplifting demeanor was just what I needed during this time. I do not hesitate to recommend Indoor Air Repair to anyone with mold issues, except for the fact that it might be harder for me to get scheduled with them if all of you use them, too!
