He was able to thoroughly advise us on how to rectify the soffit/attic issue. He was able to remediate a few areas of mold we had on drywall due to not dehumidifying our home and a lack of insulation in two small areas of our attic - too much soffit in two areas of our home. He cleanly cut out the bad drywall and did not cut through the vapor sheeting, underneath. I was pleased that he only cut through what was necessary with surgical skill. Only the drywall was affected in 4 of the small areas. Two areas - around a skylight and one ceiling area did affect a few boards in the attic. They cleaned the boards with a green, botanical product and then encapsulated the affected boards. No fans were used anywhere so mold was contained to affected areas and once drywall was removed, it was immediately bagged and removed from the home. Skylight ceiling was HEPA vacuumed and a HEPA air filtration machine was used in all of the areas while the work was meticulously completed. The bathroom ceiling was cleaned and then painted with a mold resistant coating. Josh thoroughly explained how long the bathroom needed to dry and that no humidity could be created in the bathroom until it was completely dried. He explained that it needed to dry naturally, without a dehumidifier, otherwise the paint might crack. Josh thoroughly explained everything he would do and everything he was using (cleaners, machines, etc.) prior to starting the work. He was an excellent, educated and experienced remediator/communicator. Carol, in the office, was able to calm me down and reassure me when I first called to schedule the job. Another company could not handle my upsettedness about our mold problem and hung up on me. She was able to email me receipts after charges were completed. Her follow-up throughout the process was great despite my changing the work order a few times throughout the process. Her calm, positive, uplifting demeanor was just what I needed during this time. All he did was guess and said a lot of maybe this or maybe that. He even had problems using his volt meter and actually bent his needles and had to replace them. He couldn't get a good reading because he couldn't get the positive needle (red) in the volt meter and he did it twice/three times. Then he proceeded to disengage the pipe inside the furnace to shut the unit down, which then caused another code to appear. After that, he then expressed that maybe the exhaust/fresh air pipes going outside were clogged or that the installation was mis-aligned (after 4 years)! After an hour of guessing and coming up blank, he then said "well it's the blower motor and maybe the power switch or the pipes to the outside." I asked if he had the motor or the switch on the truck and he said it would have to be ordered, would probably get Tuesday and could install Wednesday and I would receive a call. I expressed my concern because of the cold and the frequency of the furnace going on and off and I was told to just turn it off at the main power switch for a minute and it would reset and work fine. I waited 3 wekes for a phone call not two days. I contacted the company Owner, Kevin Budinger and received no response. They ripped me off for $115! For whatever reason, I didn't (it was literally what I was paying them to do) and, of course, that is when the raccoon got caught. I had to feed the raccoon hotdogs for a few days until they came out, because I didn't want the raccoon dying on my property. The other raccoon children remained in the basement after their mom was removed. They were finally caught outside, which reinforced that the sealing that was done was woefully inadequate. I brought this up several times and it was ignored. CC continued to do follow-ups to ensure that the raccoons were completely gone until.... I got a call saying that the worker was at my gate but had lost my key. I required that CC replace my locks and they promised to put a lock box on my gate so that the key would no longer travel with them. A week later, the CC worker showed up... without the promised box. I fired them. The sealing remains questionable. Throughout our relationship, CC's workers would show up unaware of what the other workers or their general manager had committed to. There is no communication within this company. Promises were repeatedly broken and the work was half-ass. I would be embarrassed to claim this low quality work as a profession.
