A quick check of your vaccine card and you are good to go! Last night we enjoyed their Diamond Anniversary review. A fabulous and fast paced performance with over 30 songs performed by their outstanding resident company. The resco is made up of 12 top college performers that you WILL be seeing on Broadway in the future. There are many more performances scheduled for this summer season. So stop in, buy a ticket or a season tick and enjoy lots of great shows this summer. Enjoy cocktails in their garden or air conditioned tavern. It's a great night and fantastic venue to return to live theatre.

The Forestburgh Playhouse is the hidden gem of the Forestburgh/Monticello area. Celebrating its 75th anniversary of musical theatre and performing arts in 2021, this theatre has stood the test of time in its community. After visiting for the first time, I heard common words spoken such as "I've been coming for 45 years" from some patrons. The theatre is clean and offers a cabaret show with meal and bar service before most musical performances. By the looks of it, the theatre can hold about 200 people -- a room size which offers an intimate experience from any corner of the playhouse. The theatre itself is extremely rustic in nature, resembling a barn interior in its walls and ceiling. The staff are all incredibly passionate about their work and Franklin, the owner, couldn't be more dedicated to the satisfaction of his cast, crew, and customers. After watching the world-premier of the Babes in Arms revival, I would be delighted to make the trek back from NH at any point in the future. This theatre hosts some seriously talented performers with direction from Tony nominated writers. Keep on with the great vibes, FP

This summer's Children's theatre production "Willy Wonka" was highly enjoyable. Kids and parental units had a great time.

The Spartan Race is held here every year and those as the second time participating. It was OK. I…read morefinished and didn't die but my goodness, the grounds were horrible. It rained and the mud was ankle/knee deep, almost throughout the entire course. The bathrooms (portable potties) were a wreck. I'm just hoping what we're were walking through, was actually mud. The entire place smelled like sewage. It was difficult to eat anything there after our race and driving home was terrible. We were all caked with mud. Last year was much better but you can't really mess with mother nature. She's gonna do what she's gonna do.

Well, I must say this was very groovy…read more You enter a vibe! My eyes were open soooo wide to it all! The 60's were very visual! The music was sooo different! I had to see the location of the most famous concert in the whole world of all times . "Woodstock!" I was looking for the road marker in the big stone that overlooks the valley of where all those people filled the field (and when it became so packed and people just stopped their cars and got out and walked to as close as they could to the venue. The view is iconic and it is a delight ! I'm happy to see the road side marker and the big stone marker ! They have since built a great outdoor concert stage with partial covering closest to the stage. So if you ever want to come for a concert, you have that going for you. And it looks like today there was another event there that had nothing to do with music. It was sports, but even still folks enjoyed their day and then joined me at the Woodstock Museum. MUSEUM. So I wish I had more time to spend here. Because I would wanna maximize my $22.. Very sweet people welcoming at the front desk reception. There is a wonderful museum . Learn all about the beginning of the 1960s and see how much it changed by 1969. Then they guide you through 1969 which was exceeding compact with so many significant events . The baby boomer experience! You can enjoy sitting in many nooks watching a screen showing old news footage telling about life then! IT really gets you in the mindset of that time. DISPLAYS of artifacts from the concert and the business side of it as well as the advertising, then LOGISTICS trying to find out which field they can use. And then showtime! THE FASHION'S. It was my first time to ever see "" love beads" it was cool seeing all the clothes and jewelry! They had a booth that had just an area for you to hear people who were there share their memories of that weekend! It was nice to be in the museum with older people, and seeing how they were having this big smile on their face hearing all these old songs and reminiscing of their youth! There was also a docent that was an actual Woodstock participant/concert goer . So you could really ask questions to people who know! There is A BREAKDOWN OF EVERY ARTIST EVERY SONG. They're a little Knox where you can really take time to spend in the areas of your interest. I really wanted to google some of these songs and try to understand the story being told & try to understand the poetry. There is a HUGE THEATER WHERE YOU CAN WATCH A BIG PRODUCTION OF THAT WEEKEND!! Very exciting! I think you wanna make time for this also. GIFTSHOP IT was a very nice gift shop!!! It was very thrilling. I could see how music fans could really get their whole uniform of iconic rock 'n' roll garb! I felt that they were prices were fair. I was delighted to get some guitar pics with the iconic Woodstock logo, and also some cute postcards. Again the service was absolutely wonderful here. Lots of kind staff. I'm very glad I decided to explore the grounds more and visit this museum. It was worth it DOWNSTAIRS (There is an elevator .) ((which is where the bathroom is)) there were also fine photos on the walls and in addition another room that had things that they found on the property . Even though it was 1969 it is a historical artifact!! CAFE: They had a café... But I didn't go to it. But it's good to know they had it in case I needed it. I'm happy to learn more intensely of the peace, love and rock 'n' roll movement of this demographic of our fine country. I couldn't help but compare the similarities and differences between them and now. Thanks for this very special time for all the people who worked hard putting it all together. I enjoyed my time.

My husband and I were visiting Shawnee on Delaware, and I was looking for an activity for us to…read moreenjoy that didn't involve hiking! I looked at the Shawnee Playhouse's website, and found that two shows were being offered during the dates that we'd be in Shawnee -- a children's show (no kids with us) and a headline show (The Full Monty). We decided to get tickets for the latter though we were a bit concerned about the "adult content" warnings. We purchased our tickets and selected our balcony seats on-line (for a headline show, $29/each - regular, or $26 for a senior, plus a few dollars for ticketing fees). On the day of the show, we arrived about 30 minutes before the show. The (free) parking lot was already filling up but we found a good spot. We were warmly greeted at the door, and a valet offered to take us to our seats. Some concessions were available, at reasonable prices -- water, candy, etc. We had a wonderful experience at the playhouse. Obviously, this wasn't a professional Broadway performance but we would much prefer a community play as we saw at Shawnee! As a small theater, all audience members have "good seats" and, as noted by my husband, you can actually see the expressions on the actors' faces. It truly felt like a community get-together, with old friends greeting each other at the entrance, and comparing notes about the play on the way out. The quality of the acting/singing was very good, and the show was entertaining. I look forward to returning to the Shawnee Playhouse on our next trip to the Poconos.

Great seats anywhere. Very entertaining. No lines. The actors were good. I'd go back againread more
