I would not recommend Roberson RV based on my experience…read more There were clear issues with both the walkthrough and the condition of the trailer at delivery. During the orientation, the technician could not confirm whether the water heater was on or off, he didn't know which position meant what on the switch. I later discovered he had left it on while empty or filled with antifreeze, and it had been cycling for several days before I caught it. That is a basic oversight that could easily lead to damage, which I won't know until my area is above freezing. More serious was the complete failure of the 12V charging system from day one. After bringing the trailer home and leaving it plugged into shore power, I returned to a fully discharged battery. The converter was not charging the battery at all. The battery had dropped to 11.9V and remained there for an extended period, which is widely understood to cause permanent damage in AGM batteries. I thoroughly documented the issue with video evidence, including voltage testing and isolating the fault to the converter. Despite this, I was not offered a reasonable or practical solution. The only options presented were multiple long-distance trips back to the dealership, totaling thousands of miles and significant time, or waiting 6+ weeks for a more local service center to diagnose something that had already been clearly identified. At that point, I had no choice but to purchase and install a new battery and converter myself, out of pocket, just to make the trailer usable. After replacing those components, everything worked immediately. This situation could have been avoided with a basic pre-delivery inspection and a willingness to work with clear diagnostic evidence. Instead, I was left to resolve a brand-new equipment failure on my own. It's also been 3 weeks since I purchased the camper and my DMV has not received paperwork from Roberson to allow me to register and use the RV. I highly advise avoiding them at all costs, I should have read the other reviews sooner.

Very disappointed in Roberson. Earlier this month my husband took our 5 year-old travel trailer in…read morefor winterization. While the trailer was there, they (Roberson) checked the roof and reported back that there was damage in the back corner, that there was a 'soft' spot and it needed to be repaired. My husband asked for a quote for said repair, and a few days later he received a quote of $14,000 (the quote was to replace the entire roof, which was NOT necessary)! Needless to say, we got the name of an RV shop for a second opinion. The roof had just a small patch that needed to be sealed. While we had it in the shop, we had them address a couple of other maintenance items. TOTAL amount for everything was $590.00. The disgusting part about this is that there are a LOT of people who completely trust places like Roberson. And they spend those huge amounts no questions asked. Just do your homework and beware.

March 1st, We went to Salem to test drive a motor home that we saw on CL and purchased that day…read more The dealer (gave us a bogus name upon introduction) would not let us test drive it as he said it was uninsured and drove it himself. It seemed to drive fine but we were unable to see what worked and what did not as the batteries were dead. He said he put new tires, brakes, battery etc which we later learned were all lies. Upon paying cash $21,000, we got no more than 5 blocks away when it died. It was discovered that the gas gauge did not work and the tank was empty. So we finally got some gas in it and headed down the road home. After replacing the battery which was completely missing, the inspection showed that the generator needed a new carburetor, the interior lights were missing bulbs (all of them), the awning was completely torn and needed replacing and the refrigerator did not work at all. $5000 later and still no title. Salem rv did not obtain a clear title as the estate was in probate, it took 2 years to get a title with no help from the dealer as I had to do all the leg work finding the heirs from Texas to South Carolina to here in Oregon. Liars and thieves abound, especially these young latino couple that lied about this rv. Beware.

These are huge red flags:…read more - Salem RV Sales will not take a deposit to hold an RV for inspection. - Salem RV Sales will not allow an RV to be removed from their lot for inspection by others. - All RVs are sold AS IS, WHERE IS, NO DEALER WARRANTY. - Salem RV Sales does not perform the normal title transfer service. We bought a travel trailer and when the water system was checked when we brought it home, we found that the water heater was freeze damaged. An exact replacement, if available, was $2,195.00. Salem RV Sales would not make any adjustment on the purchase price. I was able to remove the water heater for repair at a cost of $125.00 Salem RV Sales would not even reimburse me for this repair cost and at this point stopped all communication with me. We decided to look for a Grand Design Solitude which was a little longer than we wanted, but built much better than the shorter units we had been shopping. Any new Solitudes were very pricey and although we were willing to pay more for quality, we opened our minds to a used fifth wheel. We found our 2017 Grand Design Solitude 321RL on a Craigslist ad which was linked to the Tom's Travel Homes website. After calling ahead to ensure the unit was still available, we drove down to Salem on a Saturday and met up with Drew for a tour. He was kind and honest. The unit was clean and in great condition. We asked for the bottom dollar, was given a price without haggling, he drew (pun intended) up the paperwork, took our deposit, and we made an appointment to pick up the unit on Tuesday. When we arrive on Tuesday for the walkthrough, Pat took us through the RV to show us how everything works and helped us with our first hitch up (our first fifth wheel). The process was easy and stress-free which we appreciate greatly. Both Drew and Pat seemed to have worked there for years which speaks highly of the company. This unit was on consignment at Tom's and should we need to sell this unit to upgrade in the future, we will contact Tom's to sell it for us. They did a great job.

Communication is horrible, HORrible! Trying to get them to communicate via email, or return phone…read morecalls is damn near impossible. The account started on under someone else's name, and I've asked at least half a dozen times to switch it to my name, and they still haven't done it. Even this review went to the other party, long after the services have been completed. Right on the website has a 'text us' option, but they haven't downloaded the technology to make that happen, so texts just disappear into the void. Another communication dive! Communication between customer/front of the house/& tech is so crappy, that A. Both my keys and paperwork were misplaced and B. Calls for a pick up eta were returned to the wrong person C. only half of my job was finished. After talking with Brent *directly*, he understood exactly what I wanted, and from there everything went smooth, HE did a great job, but dealing with front of the house was absolutely a nightmare and I'm considering taking my rv down to Junction City for its next job instead returning to this catastrophe of an office.

Our RV had many significant warranty issues. As mentioned on many other reviews, their parts and service department is a JOKE. The staff running it can be incredibly rude and unprofessional. We tried to talk to the new manager of both locations about the issues, she didn't help and we kept trying with the parts dept to no avail. We finally gave up and started working with the factory. They did not forward the correct warranty information to the factory and if it wasn't for our good records many repairs would have never been fixed. Or cost us thousands and thousands of dollars to fix ourselves (when it was a warranty issues). Thankfully ORV took care of these at the factory. I would recommend finding another dealer or if you do buy from here, KEEP GOOD Records! You will likely need them to get warranty work completed.
