He was gentle and attentive to my needs and really made me feel comfortable. Before he didn anything he explained what he was doing and gave knowledgeable information. Kaz is caring, kind, intentive, and knowledgeable. I went to see him for multiple physical problems, and he took care of all of them. My son is an acupuncturist and herbalist in LA, so I have met quite a few of them in my lifetime. I would put Kaz in the top five. I purchased a Groupon for acupuncture + cupping, made my appointment online. And within an hour or two, I received an email from Kaz suggesting that I should find another acupuncture clinic near where I live. I replied and said I would like to keep my appointment. He then replied that since I live far, I shouldn't go to forest park wellness and canceled my appointment without me agreeing to it. Is this how one professional would act? In the time of Covid, I'm running around Yelp leaving reviews for all of the places and practitioners I was always "too busy" to review in the past, and I am altogether shocked that I never left a review for Dr. Kaz! He's got great technique and is a confident, capable acupuncturist. I echo all of the other 5 star reviews, as my experience as a patient here was always positive and healing. I moved just far enough away from the office to make it not convenient to continue treatment, and I'm sad I haven't been able to continue as a patient. Highly recommended. read more

Paid for a groupon for a massage. Was really looking forward to it. Even received an email appointment reminder two days before. Decided to ride my bike the five miles it took to get there. Get to the door and employee tells me "oh did they not tell you? The therapist quit. I don't know what to tell you." Offered no recourse. This business is clearly unprofessional. Do not waste your time or money on this place. Whoever owes this place needs to seriously restructure. I will NEVER book a massage at this place again. read more

I'm a musician and have been in physical therapy, and have sought out other treatments as well to get rid of built up tension in my thumb muscles and arms. Never had tried acupuncture before so I didn't know what to expect, but I am definitely seeing improvements after my first visit with Kaz and looking forward to my return appointment! If you're a first time visitor, I recommend not drinking coffee on the day of your appointment, as it will make you more sensitive to the feeling of needle placement, and you need to be able to relax and hold still for a while so you can zone out and be in a restful state to best receive treatment. read more

I will admit, I was as nervous as they come about Acupuncture. I am a 48-year-old woman with multiple areas of discomfort that have turned into chronic pain. It took me years of having friends and other medical professionals convince me to give it a serious try. In fact, I HAD tried it before, but due to my high anxiety and an ineffective practitioner it had gone very badly. Then I was directed to Kaz by a close, trusted friend who promised my experience would be different this time. He was so very RIGHT! Kaz started with a thorough evaluation, pinpointing all of the different areas of possible treatment. He was patient and kind and worked through my anxiety through both his technique and his acceptance/kindness. Since we began treatment, I have seen a tremendous improvement in my inner well-being. I was able to come off both anti-depressants and sleep-aids as my overall stress level decreased. When an auto accident exacerbated an already inflamed neck and shoulder he was able to improve the pain from my injuries tremendously through aggressive treatment. My issues are on-going and I suspect I'll be in treatment on an as-needed basis for a long time. I find it so helpful to know that Kaz is able to make big difference in my energy levels, my mood and my discomfort. I'm sorry I waited so long to give acupuncture a serious try - but then again, I'm enormously pleased that I waited until someone could direct me to Kaz! read more

"I'm not a fan of needles, nor do I enjoy laying in the dark with needles poking out of me...." That's what I always thought before I saw Kaz, and even now I wouldn't say I'm a fan of either of those things.. but treatment from Kaz isn't needles (which rarely feel worse than, say, the prick of dune grass as you walk through to sandy beaches)... and I've found some real meditative relief in simply being, conscious yet in an altered state, there on the table letting my chi/qi move around. A visit to Kaz is acupuncture, but it's therapeutic on SO many levels: I leave knowing that I've been doing something good for myself, relaxed, armed with advice and ideas on how to keep myself healthy and get better where I need to. I have experienced exercise induced asthma since high school when I joined the track team. Inhalers didn't work and I wanted a way to run without wheezing. Ive heard about acupuncture but never really felt like I had a reason to check it out, especially because I have a fear of needles. One hot summer day I could barely run 1 mile compared to my usual 3 due to asthma, and I decided to do something about it. I came across Kaz and decided to give him a try. Meeting with him was great and helped eased my fears. He was very personable and easy to talk to and explained about Qi and about needling pat of the body and how they correspond to other parts of the body. All very interesting. I was happily surprised the needles didn't hurt. I like going to appointments because I feel so relaxed when Im there. I love when he uses the infrared light, its like lying on the beach. I seem to float in the lovely are between sleep and awake, and it feels awesome. Kaz has also helped with whiplash from a car accident (he takes care of the insurance paperwork). Ive also been treated for back aches and running injury's. Kaz has helped my with my diet and is knowledgeable in Chinese herbal medicine. I went to see Kaz because I had a terrible back pain to the point that I could barely walk and keep my back straight for more than 10 seconds without hurting due to a fall I had during this horrible icy weather. I felt like I had to go to the emergency room type of pain, as I felt my back was broken, and that a sharp needle kept poking me over and over whenever I walked. I could not turn or move much at all without my back hurting... enough said- I was in PAIN. As soon as I was in his office, he gave me great customer service as it was my first time doing acupuncture. I was scared of the needles but he helped me to relax and after treatment I was able to move more and keep my back straight without it hurting like it did before. I was so amazed because I felt my pain was not going to go anytime soon as it felt it was getting worse, but today I feel much much better. I was blessed to be able to book an appointment with him right away through his online service. Thank you Kaz for your help, for giving me great customer service, explanation of what my options were if I did not get better, and recommendations on things to do after I left your office. He has these amazing chili patches that help soooo soo much, and I even got some ginger candy there too which is really good! I definitely recommend Kaz and Yin Yang Acupuncture, not only to help with pain when you feel it but to continually go to take care of yourself, for your overall well-being as he does more than treat pain. I am going again tomorrow for my follow up and I am already feeling much better and will continue to be a client of Kaz as I finally found someone I can fully trust for my health care needs. I decided to visit Yin Yang Acu after reading several great reviews about Kaz. All the positive comments couldn't be more accurate. I came to Kaz mainly for the fatigue and joint pain I'd been experiencing in recent months. It's remarkable how much better I feel after just a few treatments. The herb regimen given each week also seems to be spot on, targeting my areas of concern. Kaz was able to break down each of my symptoms and connect different problem areas to one another. Kaz is very skilled and knowledgeable at what he does. And on top of it all, he's by far the most gentle and comfortable acupuncturists I've been to. I had nerve damage after surgery and was in a lot of pain when I had my first acupuncture session with Kaz. After the first session, Kaz reduced my pain in a way that all my previous PT sessions and painkillers hadn't. I saw Kaz for twice weekly sessions for several weeks and then for weekly sessions. Thanks to his skills, I'm now pain free. I have told my surgeon that I'd recommend acupuncture with Kaz to any patients who are suffering nerve pain. read more

I will never go back to this facility. I did not received any benefit at all from the treatment and was cheated out of the full hour treatment that I should received. I paid 1 hour treatment for $85 but only had less than 40 min treatment because the previous patient session ended 15 min longer. I can't believe that I was ripped off by him. I've been seeing Dr. Kaz for chronic tendinitis that was debilitating and getting to the point where I couldn't get through a full day of work. I decided to try acupuncture because I had nothing else to lose! Since starting treatment, I have finally started to heal. I look forward to going in there because the treatment instantly takes away stress & tension and relieves my pain, allowing me to get back to work and life. The treatment itself is painless and there is soothing music, blankets and a heat lamp (if it's cold out) to make sure you are completely relaxed and can fully let your body heal during the treatment. Dr. Kaz switches it up between needling, cupping and massage depending on what my pain level is each week. I've had such a great experience with Dr. Kaz that my husband will now be seeing him for chronic migraines, and I have no doubt he'll be a huge help in that category as well! read more
