Unfortunately, this was not a good experience. The prices for regular massage are on the higher side ($130 for 55mins) and the style of massage was not nothing I have ever had before. It felt like a newly trained person elbowing my back (not gently), jiggling my arm and legs, movements that was opposite of soothing. I felt tense the entire time not. I didn't not feel relaxed when I got home and body felt even more sore for the next couple days. As for ambience in this place, I can hear people in the office talking and the entire environment isn't set up for a nice and relaxing place. read more

The husband and I love this wellness studio. Our massage therapist (Robin Lyons) is a skilled healer. We've used his massage therapy service for over a year and have always enjoyed a perfectly pressured/relax-full/therapeutic massage... depending upon our aches and pains, or lack of. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. The environment is simple but inviting. They offer chiropractic and other services. Give them a look. read more

I purchased a gift certificate for my husband, and I called to set up an appointment for 90 minutes - he's one of those guys that really really needs 90 minutes, and feels teased with just 60! He was scheduled an appointment over the phone, and when he came in to receive his massage- She was talented, BUT the therapist stopped at 60 minutes. He mentioned it to her, but she said that she was at that time and complete the 90 minute massage and "didn't know" it was supposed to be 90 minutes! Of course, this was very disappointing for him! He still tipped her, and came home a bit quiet, the next day he mentioned that was only 60 minutes! Naturally, it was pretty upsetting for me, as the gift giver. I called thr studio , left a message & was immediately responded to by a really kind man that informed me this therapist, had indeed, quit that night! He was extremely apologetic & offered an out of pocket massage for my husband on him for the mishaps. Mistakes happen, it is the way in which businesses respond to these types of things that really makes them stand out from the rest! We will absolutely be back for future care, and highly recommend BSS for their exceptional service & love -Especially to the local neighbors in NoPo- we are in this together!!! read more

I booked a last minute massage with Diana, as I'm only visiting Portland. If I lived here, I would definitely be returning! I've never received a massage from a more masterful practitioner. The studio was clean, welcoming, and peaceful- I highly recommend! read more

After grieving the closing of Kenton Wellness in the mess of Covid 19, I felt blessed to find Blue Sky Wellness in Mississippi. It was easy to book appointments online, and the billing has been professional and accurate, but the real magic here--at least from my point of view--is Robin, a gifted masseuse and healer. I'm heading into my 4th appointment as I write this review. My body is less tender, my joints are more flexible, and the inflammation that plagues my lower legs is much reduced. I'm grateful. While it's sad to lose the fabulous Kenton Wellness Center and the beloved team that practiced there, I'm so happy that I found Blue Sky Wellness (thank you, Yelp!), and I'm blessed to discover Robin. read more

This is a very long overdue review. I feel so lucky to have found Blue Sky Wellness Studio. I have scheduled appointments for acupuncture, massage and chiropractic services. Everyone that works there exceptional. They also accept some health insurance which I appreciate since I have benefits for alternative medicine. My review today is specifically for my experience with Jacob for chiropractic services. Jacob is a healer. I have had issues for many years with my hips, back, shoulder and ankle. Ever since I started seeing him, I feel so much better. My ankle that I sprained over 15 years ago no longer hurts and my shoulder that has bothered me for years no longer hurts. I am currently 36 weeks pregnant and Jacob has helped me experience less pregnancy discomfort with regular adjustments. I can't recommend him enough! read more

Portlanders, this is by far the best wellness studio around. I've tried 3/4 modalities: chiropractics, acupuncture and massage therapy (with multiple therapists) each of which have been phenomenal. The studio is inviting and the staff warm. It has a local community vibe which I really appreciate. read more

Did not enjoy my massage there. LMT had no nurturing quality. They understand the body and what moves work, but just delivered too intensely and without caring or calm.. which is so needed for a decent massage!! Even put my arm back on the table too aggressively and forefully! I was on guard most of the time, having some injuries. Lack of nurturing, sensitive touch left me lost and on verge of tears after session. read more

You simply cannot go wrong with Blue Sky Wellness!! The quality of care, the relazing trratments and staff are amazing!! Have been a regular here for years! read more

I had injured my back this morning doing deadlifts and couldn't move because of it. Dr. Jacob opened up a spot in his schedule to see me and I don't even know what to say. I've seen few chiropractors in my life and I've never had this kind of experience with a chiropractor. He did a thorough assessment and did his adjustments. I went from not being able to move out of a sitting/laying position to being able to get up on my own. This was the best chiro experience ever and made another appointment to see him soon. With all the physical activities I do, i'm looking forward to seeing how his treatments help me in the long run. So glad I got to see him today. Thank you Dr Jacob. read more

After being a patient for more than ten years, they told me they would no longer accept my insurance, because I waited 13 months between making appointments. Apparently their rule is that if you have more than 12 months between appointments, you are considered a new patient and they are not accepting any new patients with Kaiser Permanente coverage. I asked if surely they could make an exception, given how long I've been a patient there and they said no. I feel betrayed. If this is how they treat long-time patients, I'll trust my wellness care to others. read more

I was so disappointed with my service at Blue Sky after hearing such good reviews. The receptionist was absolutely horrid to me--truly terrible customer service starting from the moment I walked in--before I even had the chance to say anything! She was giving me weird looks and blatantly ignored me several times when I first arrived and then later when I was talking to her... It was bizzare! I almost wondered if she thought I was someone else? Like maybe she mistook me for someone she hated? My massage therapist was awkward and the massage was pleasant but nothing special. There are so many wonderful wellness studios in Portland and I'm bummed I wasted time and money at this one. Won't be back. read more

I began going to Blue Sky with a Groupon for a massage. The massage was very nice but it was just the tip of the iceberg for my life-altering experiences at Blue Sky Wellness. My daughter was diagnosed with ADD and has an obsessive disorder as well. I decided to stop the madness with Kaiser (insert heavy cursing) and took her into Blue Sky to see a natural path. He changed our lives! We followed his advice and both my husband and I dropped over 50lbs over the last six months. My daughter also started doing much better in school and there has been some headway with her other issues as well. We are some of the healthiest people I know and it is all thanks to the caring people at Blue Sky Wellness. Now you might think that's all very nice (you can do it too!) but let me tell you this next part is really the kicker. I am a dental hygienist and so I suffer from carpal tunnel, tendinitis, and seriously chronic shoulder and back pain. My pain was almost debilitating. One day I decided to try Acupuncture for the pain in my hands and arms. I swear I did not think it would work.. I was a complete skeptic. I left there and the next day I was completely pain free in my hands and forearms. You can get a hold of me on Yelp if you want.. I am happy to tell you, it is the truth. I am still in shock to this day that it could change my life so dramatically. I don't understand acupuncture yet.... but I do understand and KNOW that I am not in pain because of whatever it is that Bridget does with those needles and I feel like the luckiest person because of it. Yes, losing 50 lbs (and holding!) was and is simply amazing (Thank you Dr Shannon) but getting out of chronic pain (Thanks Bridget!) is something I really never thought could ever happen and it did. I am so thankful to have stumbled upon this place. It has changed my life. If you are somebody who is sick and tired of suffering then I beg you to give Blue Sky Wellness a chance. read more

This is a fantastic place. I have had a massage and now I had acupuncture because of acute pain. The owner, Tova, came in during her time off to help me. She explained the process, some of the ideas behind acupuncture and she helped me enter my weekend in significantly less pain. The space feels calming and clean and the people are top notch. I am very grateful to Tova and Blue Sky Wellness. read more

You owe it to yourself to get a massage here... Very professional, clean and relaxing space, and very skilled massage therapists. Left feeling relaxed and happy. Basically I feel like my cat probably feels every day which is a pretty good way to feel after a massage. Will most definitely be back. read more

If there was a zero star review, this would be it y'all. The massage I received was great (really), however the customer experience you wouldn't believe just to finally be finished with this place was horrible. I thought I was able to receive a massage through my health care, only after my massage had they confirmed it doesn't cover it. Whatever. So I had ended up paying full price rather than the copay, which was fine...until the next few months. For months, I had been harassed with calls and bills by their billing office to pay for an incomplete bill. Although I spoke with 5+ representatives and telling each one I had paid in cash at their store and even sending them copies of my receipt. I thought I had finally cleared this up, when I get another call from a debt collector! Ridiculous. I have sent multiple people my proof of receipts, yet it's their fault for bad communication between each other. It's been a complete waste of my time! read more

In after-massage-bliss, I learned that my treatment wasn't covered and I would have to pay the cash rate - even though the office had checked my insurance prior to my treatment. I was totally bummed and all of my relaxation from my massage was lost when my debit card was swiped. However, a week later, the office manager e-mailed and called to let me know the owner had decided to completely refund my card because of the miscommunication regarding my insurance coverage. I was so impressed and relieved! This studio totally redeemed itself as being an honest and compassionate practice. Seek them out, double-check your coverage, and enjoy your massage! read more

I was referred to Blue Sky Wellness by a friend when my sciatica was playing up in a pretty severe way--pain and numbness traveling down my leg to my foot. I had 6 or 7 sessions with Dr Soszka and I was 95% better. The pain was managed and has been for over a year. Last week, I had a back spasm like I had never experienced and I immediately called for an appointment with Dr Soszka. He was able to see me that same day and, again, made a significant impact on the pain and spasms. While pain is something I would do my best to avoid, the notion of going to get an acupuncture treatment from Dr Soszka is something that I find extremely relaxing. I am so thankful that I have this treatment as an option as I find prescription pain meds so harsh, I don't want to take them. The environment at Blue Sky Wellness is pleasant, warm. The office staff are friendly and respectful. read more

I had a great experience at Blue Sky Wellness Studio. My neck and right shoulder were very tight and causing me a lot of pain, and Mandy Corr worked out the tightness and helped lessen the pain with a thorough massage. I have had chronic back and neck pain for most of my life. Prior to being introduced to Blue Sky, I had tried physical therapy and chiropractic treatment without success. I have now had several massage and accupuncture treatments at Blue Sky Wellness Studio and for the first time in years, I am feeling prolonged relief from pain. The staff is so friendly and helpful and they even bill my insurance company directly. I highly recommend Blue Sky Wellness Studio! read more

I just had my first massage with Jaime, and it was awesome! I have had massages in the past, but this one was much better than any of those. I'm shocked by the negative reviews. This was by far the best experience I have ever had with any healthcare professionals. First, Amy who works at the front desk is very friendly. She made conversation with me and offered me tea while I was waiting. Every staff member that passed by was smiling and seemed to be genuinely happy to be there. Kathryn who performed my acupuncture asked lots of questions about my physical and mental well-being and treated many different things for me in one session, even explaining how they might be related to each other in a way that made sense to me. She made me feel very comfortable even though I had never had acupuncture before. She also gave me plenty of information on what to expect after the treatment including a page of common reactions and aftercare advice. She also referred me to the naturopath because I told her that I didn't have a primary care doctor and she felt that he would be a good choice for me since I have had very negative experiences with most of my primary care doctors. She told me that he would spend more time with me trying to really get to the root of the problem. All in all I felt very taken care of and just a day later I can already feel the results of my treatment. I have two more appointments scheduled with them so far and I plan to continue coming back. read more

I love this place, but what I really love is the massage therapist there, Jaimie. I went here to another therapist and was SUPER disappointed. But, I came back for Jamie and I couldn't be happier. My partner bought me a groupon for my first massage and I was very excited. So much went wrong that I've decided to write my first yelp review: 1. The massage was supposed to be a hot oil aromatherapy massage. The oil was not hot and there was no aromatherapy (unless you count the oil being scented). 2. The person I scheduled with online was not the person who gave me the massage and no one ever said anything about that. 3. The massage was only on my right shoulder and the conversation was awkward. 4. The worst part was when she asked me how long I had been vegan and proceeded to tell me that I needed to eat gelatin. This was in the first 10 minutes of the massage so it made the entire massage uncomfortable for me. She droned on with inaccurate facts about how people need to eat bone marrow for their muscles and blah blah blah. Little did she know my partner is a nutritionist! Definitely won't be coming back here. read more

I started going to BlueSky about a year ago after a back injury after hearing about their work from a friend. The acupuncture I received from Bridgit and massage therapy from several different therapists has been nothing short of amazing. I would recommend BlueSky to anyone looking for acupuncture/massage for therapy or relaxation from a friendly, knowledgeable and caring staff. read more
