I have seen Sharon Rose several times (the *ONLY* reason I don't see her more is because I live no where near her office, but I have happily traveled 2 hours on several occasions for appointments with her). She is fantastic at what she does! She found and fixed issues I didn't even know I had. It is important to remember that (because the changes/fixes she does can be significant) she usually only addresses 1 problem at a time. This allows the treatment to be more effective and "stick" better. She also had easier and quicker solutions than modern medicine did at one point (my husband had Bells Palsy and his PCP was quoting him 6-8 weeks for 80% recovery. Sharon is wonderful. I tweaked a rib doing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu a few years back and someone suggested I give acupuncture a try. I have been treated by 2 other acupuncturists, and at least 3 other chiropractors, before I came to Sharon's office. So I think I had some idea of what works and what doesn't when it comes to these kinds of treatments, but what she's doing in her practice is really the best of both of those worlds, and then some. I was nervous about being needled, but I apparently was worried about nothing. Sharon is so relaxed and confident in her skills and knowledge that I knew everything was going to be fine. Got into a truly massive car accident last Wednesday. I'm bruised, battered, and in amazing amounts of pain due to my head and right side meeting the bulkhead of the car. This was the first time I saw an acupuncturist that did massage. After assessing the treatment, I feel I would be better off seeing a massage therapist/Chi Nei Tsang practitioner for abdominal work and my hometown acupuncturist for a full acupuncture treatment. In my opinion, there just wasn't enough time to do both therapies adequately in one appointment to the point where my chronic holding patterns will release. The massage could have been a lot more therapeutic if there was another 1 or 2 units of time. I've had neck and shoulder pain for over a decade. I've tried everything under the sun -- massage, PT, chiropractic, acupuncture. I had x-rays and even an MRI, but nothing major appeared to be wrong that could be "fixed." Sharon is extremely talented in relieving pain, both through acupuncture and bodywork. I've seen her for several different ailments, but I was the most impressed with the change I experienced after walking in with severe lower back pain. It was so much better than massage and chiropractic. It almost feels like your muscles are deflating (the tension/inflammation, I mean!) I've also found it very useful for stress. Sharon seems to be very passionate about what she does, and also has a very unique personality that I appreciate. I am a big fan of acupuncture, and Sharon is FANTASTIC... I have been in to see her for a few different complaints and with the exception of some chronic back issues that I have, I have felt tremendously better/healed in just a visit or two, and even the chronic back pain elements are better after I have seen her. She is great about getting you in on her schedule, and is genuinely concerned about making you well. I recently recommended and went with a friend that was having plantar fasciitis issues, but is terrified of needles. Sharon worked with her to make sure that she got good treatment while attending to her anxiety around the procedure, even allowing me to stay as support for my friend as the session was done.
