4 Reasons to NEVER Hire This Company:…read more 1. When I hired this company, they chose to work without a permit. Later on, when the city learned of the new plumbing work (via an electrical inspection), they required a permit to be pulled. Eric, the owner, attempted to swindle me into paying $500 more for a $65 permit. Later, on a phone call, he knew I wasn't going for it and tried to change his tune to say it was already included in the original price. (SEE PHOTO OF TEXT and decide for yourself!) 2. Shodd, the "Service Manager", installed a drain pipe from two bathrooms that was not properly sloped in the direction towards the sewer, which would've caused waste water to collect. Not to mention, it was brought to my attention by an actual professional plumber that the same drain pipe was not bonded with PVC cement (blue in color). This has got to be some of the most basic plumbing rules of thumb that were disregarded for whatever reason. I included a text which I brought this to Eric's attention, and he IGNORED IT. I HAD TO HAVE IT ALL REDONE! (SEE PHOTOS OF PIPE AND TEXT!) 3. There were times when Eric and Shodd didn't respond to my calls or texts for weeks OR AT ALL. In general, they lack integrity and professionalism. So when they say they're going to do something, you don't know if you can count on them or not (even if you paid them thousands of dollars like I unfortunately did). (SEE PHOTOS OF TEXTS! - there were also many unanswered/unreturned calls!) 4. Shodd and his partner didn't clean up behind themselves. They left snack containers/bags and random scraps from old and new materials. One thing they did clean up exceptionally well--ALL of my existing copper pipes which they replaced with the cheapest PEX B pipe they could find. Before you hire any contractor, make sure you have an understanding ON PAPER of the type(s) of materials to be used. On my end, I had some termite damage that was unbeknownst to me until I began my full renovation. I also had an 8-week work trip that I had planned to have the rough phase finished by. Combined, this lead to an overall delay in the middle of my plumbing and electrical project once the inspectors temporarily halted work. This, however, shouldn't have affected the professionalism, integrity or responsiveness of these "pros". I hired this company because they have some great reviews, but for whatever reason, they messed over my job. I was hoping they would make things right but they never did. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS AND SAVE YOURSELF THE FINANCIAL LOSS AND HEADACHE!!!

Our water heater stopped working and I had to call True Plumbing again. Hunter came out the very…read moresame day and said we had water around the bottom where the pilot light is. When we replaced it, the new one was placed directly on the basement floor with no pan or anything around it or under it. Our basement has never flooded before (in 25 years) but it looks like some water may have come in near the new water heater. I don't know why else there would be water inside the water heater at the bottom. Hunter said they can no longer honor the warranty for the water heater because of this. It seems like it should have been raised off the ground at least a couple of inches when it was installed or had a pan of some sort to protect the bottom of the water heater. But I'm not an expert on water heater installation so what do I know? Hunter got the water out with paper towels and relit the pilot light. Hooray! Hunter saved the day. I think he may have changed the setting back down to its lowest because we are running out of hot water very quickly when showering. Hopefully that's all that has been done. We keep forgetting to check it until we're freezing in the shower :)

I've used them a handful of times in a short period of time to address some items at one of my homes. They give you a 4 hour window of when a technician will be able to come. They updated my newly purchased homes kitchen sink pipes to an S Trap and also brought my water heaters thermal expansion tank up to code. When the technician has entered the house, they wear the shoe coverings. I really appreciate that. I've mostly worked with Gary who was very awesome and also Matt. If you pay with cash/check you can get a 2% off.
