November 24th 2025, I got a car from this dealership from the get go the tire light was on. If that wasn't enough a few weeks later, it died on me on I 77. Christmas Day, it died 3 times coming home from Taylorsville after visiting my mom. Then comes December 30, they needed me and my cosigner to come and redo the loan. That was a lie. That day I came home without a car and out $1000 for the down payment. They knowingly sold a lemon, I saw the updated carfax. The crankshaft position sensor , And the serpentine belt replaced You all knew something was wrong with it, and yet the photo of myself and my friend is still on Facebook There is a photo of me with a car that I do not have anymore. read more

The service department was friendly, helpful, competent and actually made a timely service appointment for me. When my 2017 CRV suddenly had every light on the dashboard come on... I knew it should be covered under my extended warranty. I called Forest City Honda and explained it to the service associate. She then scheduled my appointment, contacted the warranty company in Charlotte, confirmed all my info. The fuel injectors needed to be replaced. And so far no more problems! Every contact I have had with Forest City Honda has had a positive outcome! read more

Car buyers beware -scam artists. I called ahead to purchase a car that was advertised online for $31,000. By the time I arrived (driving an hour away) they increased the price by $10,000 (including a $5K dealer add-on because "the car was in demand"). Although I intended to pay cash, I was bullied into financing because the finance manager complained if I didn't he couldn't meet his quota. He assured me that if I paid it off by the first payment there would be no charge (not true). After waiting for over an hour, the finance person told me that the price was now $48,000! They had added in the highest level extended warranty and service plan despite the fact that I said I wasn't interested when he handed me the brochure earlier. Finally, I had very little opportunity to review the documents because the finance person held the iPad and pushed all the signature buttons himself. These guys are completely unethical. read more

I bought a great looking Ford F-150 in March from this dealership. I was assured that the truck had received a thorough going over, and that there were no mechanical issues. My first payment was April 28. On that same day, I had to put the truck in the shop for the transmission to be replaced. Today, I made the 2nd payment. And for the second time, I had to put the truck into the shop to repair an issue with the differential. This truck is a lemon. It is garbage. I realize there was no warranty, but they could have at least been honest. My mechanic says that there was no way they didn't know this truck had these issues. They won't take my calls. Whether intentionally or not, Forest City Honda will mislead you and you will pay more than you intend for a vehicle with less options than you desire. I am kicking myself for trusting this dealer. The process seemed easy but the reality-You will be hoodwinked. The big flag I clearly missed- this dealer doesn't post their price online and when you inquire on a vehicle you want, they'll push you to a lesser vehicle that looks identical. And when you get to the paperwork, watch out! An hour wait wore me down. So kicking myself! The final paperwork process was another bait and switch. I asked for Honda Financing and they tried to push me to a local bank. When I asked why? I was told Honda didn't finance for the term I requested. Wouldn't you know it, HONDA financing was available and at a better rate! So glad I had researched enough to stand my ground. I got a 2024 Honda accord and I didnt look at it good I drove it and they took it straight back to clean it well we did the paperwork and I took some pictures of it at the dealership before I left and think god I did it has a dent in the hood so I been trying since I got it 2weeks now taking days off and making appointment and every time it's something so I just got in to it with the so called manager bc we called and the lady said bring it at 930 so I'm here and now the guys not goin to be here until 11 this is the unprofessional place and I would never recommend this place to anybody read more

I love Honda cars, but they are expensive and the local dealership service dept. needs to be improved. Stayed on the phone over 6 min. for someone to answer a question and still didn't get anyone to answer. And this was over a period of 3 days. Called the dealership in morganton, same thing, but at least they waned me to leave a call back number. So frustrating. read more

If I could give a zero, I most definitely would. Forest City Honda is very inconsiderate of the time people set aside to come into their facility. Having to drive an hour just to be misinformed and mishandled all because they are wanting to get as many bodies in their establishment to assist with their promotional offer. I showed them the ad I had that said $1 down. They refused to honor it. They said $90 down. I showed them to where it had been checked good credit bad credit not a problem. I wish I'd known better and held out for a better deal elsewhere. They will rip you off with a $3500+ dealer installed add-on that is worth thousands less at other Honda dealerships. 1st place finish thats SUPPOSED to be "free" for a year as well as moonroof deflector, truck bed trunk mat, rubber floor mats and mud "flaps" - all for almost $4000. It would be worth the money saved to go 30+ miles to another Honda dealer. There are a few within that range. read more

The front desk woman was super nice and helpful--however, the service center employee I was connected to was not. I asked about setting up an appointment for a recalled airbag and this employee was quite rude and unhelpful, seemingly for no reason. They made it seem like I was doing them a huge inconvenience to schedule my inspection with them a few days from now. I got a bad feeling and decided not to service my car there. Apple Tree Honda sent my wife with a recall without repairing it and it could have lit my pregnant wife's car on fire. Forrest City, didn't skip a beat, they saw it and did it and no questions asked and didn't try to up-sell me anything. They kindly, quickly, and without any hassle fixed my wife's car and charged us nothing as they were suppose to. WARNING ! DON"T BE THEIR NEXT VICTIM ! We purchase a used Nissan truck 4 weeks ago (121,000 miles). The salesman Johnny Lopez told us that the mechanics at Forest City Honda went through the truck thoroughly and despite 'As is' sticker, the truck checks out fine (previous owners were older and wanted a smaller vehicle). We are not from the area and did not seek out a local mechanic to check over the truck...clearly our mistake. Because we were concerned that this dealership was selling the truck As Is, we purchased the highest level of 2 year warranty offered by FCH. We drove the truck home 200 miles and then only one other time to a building supply store for A TOTAL OF 217 miles. A noise alerted us to take it to the local Nissan dealer. They found the radiator coolant was contaminated with either transmission fluid or oil. We had the truck towed to an independent mechanic shop who found THE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR HAD BEEN UNPLUGGED ! (something the Forest City Honda mechanic would have seen - or did) and there was oil in the radiator. They said we needed a new engine. We had the truck towed to a nearby Honda dealer who then got involved with the warranty company. The head gaskets were blown and the warranty company is not covering a penny, saying it was a PRE-EXISTING CONDITION before we purchased the truck. Calls to Forest City Honda are not being accepted and/or returned. We will be filing a complaint with Honda, BBB and the NC Attorney Generals office. This has been a costly lesson, DON"T BE THEIR NEXT VICTIM ! read more

Based on a number of positive reviews on other sites, I was jazzed about visiting Forest City Honda and wanted to check out at least two cars they'd listed for sale. The sales guy was friendly enough and he went straight to work...evaluating me! Didn't care what I needed, nor about my goal in seeking a vehicle, what research I'd done, nope - none of that. His concern was whether or not I could pay an unstated, unknown amount of money he must have had in mind. During his second, prolonged visit with the "manager" (I suppose discussing my qualifications), I left without ever getting near a car. If you're only looking for financing, this could be your place. But for a car, I'll look elsewhere. read more

My wife took her 2018 Civic to have the oil changed. On the way back from the beach started hearing a scrubbing noise when we would go over bumps in the road. Stopped and looked and found out that two of the screws that hold the front bumper to the metal engine cover had been left out or left loose and came out allowing the metal pan under the engine to be pulled down allowing it to hit the road. Stopped at the Honda dealership in Monroe and they fixed it free of charge and got us back on our way. Car was purchased at this dealership but will not be serviced here again. Moral of this is if they left the two bolts loose on just a cover what else may they leave loose somewhere else and may be even worse. This is not the first time I have had problems with this dealership's service department. read more

Obnoxious and Unprofessional scam artists. I went to Forest City Honda because they had a 2008 Nissan Sentra for sale on their website and I was interested in buying it. When I had arrived at the dealership I was handed off to a salesman who was extremely unprofessional, going so far as to complain about previous customers he had that week to me while were test driving the Sentra, and talking about how he disliked his job and only got it because his father worked there also. After my unprofessional test drive, I still liked the car enough to look past it and attempt to make the purchase, so I went into the dealership where I was tossed between two salesmen, the one from the test drive and another who was very rude and overly aggressive. After being given an estimate they started rushing through the process, demanding my paystub right then and there, or they "wouldn't even consider selling it to me". It was at this point buying this car from they became an unprofessional mess. Since I hadn't had my paystub right then and there offered to take a picture of it off of my phone with their phone so that they could have it on record, then after about an hours worth of being left alone at a desk they finally came back with the actual price of financing this vehicle, which included a 24% INTEREST RATE. Now I'm not an economic expert, but I'm also pretty sure that's what the mafia charged as interest when they gave out loans. Now, after already turning down this deal, they've called me and my family upwards of 10 times in less than 24 hours, harassing us about this car. Worst Dealership Ever. read more

Do not trust Forest City Honda, Forest City, NC. I told them I wanted a AWD Pilot. That is what I traded in. Tyler told my sister and I the "snow" button Honda puts on the vehcles are like having a AWD and there should not be any problems in snow. WRONG! After finding out it is still a 2WD nothng to do with 4WD I took the car back and JJ the Sales Manager would not exchange it out for a AWD even. His deal would make me lose $1,320 on a new Pilot from Saturday at 6 - Monday at 4 and the new Pilot only had 156 miles. Tyler even said to me he didnt mean to mislead me. Also Jj ordered me a hitch and I asked him on Monday to cancel to order and he refused. Ive filed complaint with Honda and The Attorney Generals Office. read more

*BUYERS BEWARE* What happen to taking care of the customer? They Sold us a LEMON and they know it. We purchased a 2014 Jeep Compass in April 2016. We have been back and forth to Forest City Honda for the last 2 months with problems with the brakes. So everyday that we have been off work we are at the dealership trying to have the problem fixed. They even had it sent to a Jeep dealership in Shelby. Still the Jeep did not get fixed. No one knows what the problem is. So we have a defective jeep. We call and speak with a sales manager and then the owner. We were instructed by the owner of the dealership to bring the jeep back. He said he would take care of us. Well after working with them for 7+ hours . They instead try to rip us off. By offering a little over half of what we paid. We only had the Jeep for a little over 2 months now.
