I wanted to update my review to reflect that, after 1 whole month, we were able to pick up our Ford F-150, but not before the owner called my husband into his office to accuse him of leaving a dishonest review and telling him never to bring our vehicles back to Stott for service. Apparently, poor customer service starts at the top! It's easy to be professional when you're making a profit off your customers, but apparently much more difficult if they have to actually work. -- We've had an incredibly frustrating experience with the service department at Stott Ford. What should have been a straightforward repair has dragged out for over three weeks with minimal communication from their team. The service manager has shown little to no accountability or advocacy on behalf of the customer. Instead, we were left to act as the go-between for two separate service departments and their respective managers--something that should never fall on the customer. Getting any sort of update has been a challenge. Calls to the service department often result in being left on hold for 15-30 minutes, only to receive vague or incomplete information--if we get a response at all. I even followed up with emails yesterday and have yet to hear anything back. It's deeply disappointing to see such a lack of professionalism and customer care. We expected better and unfortunately cannot recommend Stott Ford based on this experience. read more

Our recent purchase was a phone order of a 2024 2.7 Ranger FX4. As of yet I have not visited the dealership so I can only speak to the phone interactions and delivery service. We worked with James in sales, and Nina who manages the business end. We had a couple of hiccups, nothing huge and immediately rectified. Excellent communication.......they actually answer the phone after the sale.......and did everything they said they would do and when they said they would do it. Somewhat unusual these days. Since we live about 90 miles from the dealership we inquired about free delivery. Once again, the truck was delivered on time by a couple of nice gentlemen. We did have to delay the delivery team over some questions that required calling the dealership. No complaints about the wait so we decided to buy them lunch for being so accommodating. Even though we have closer Ford dealers, we may use Stotts for routine maintenance with the assumption that the service department is just as professional as the sales department. read more

I was in the market for a new Ford Expedition. I didn't love the experience when dealing with Asheville Ford for my most recent Ford vehicle and wanted to try elsewhere. Stott's had a vehicle I was interested in on site. I drove down on a Wednesday afternoon at 2 PM and I was driving home in my new vehicle by 5 PM. My salesman, Jeremy, and the owner, Robbie, made everything very easy. I received a fair price for my trade-in, and a great interest rate for my loan. As a follow-up, when I went to pick up the roof rack cross-bars that had been ordered for me, Dylan had one of his service team members take the 15 minutes to install them for me as a courtesy. It's an easy job but it saved me the time of climbing up on the roof to do it myself. Previous dealerships have charged me as much as $100 to do it! When I got home with my car, I was raving to all of my neighbors about the great experience I had.... the best experience I've had yet, and I've purchased 14 new vehicles in 3 different states over the last 33 years. While this isn't a make or break issue, the fact that they don't charge a made up "Dealer Fee" tells me all I need to know about how they choose to do business and how they view their customers. I would definitely recommend Stott's Ford to anyone. Recently my previous vehicle was stolen and damaged so I was in dire need of a vehicle. I drove up to Stott's from Greenville, SC to get the perfect vehicle for me and Jeremy was super helpful the whole time and made the process quick and easy. I bought a $76,000 truck from Stotts, and I'd call the service from them poor since I bought it. They never called me when my Weather Tech mats came in. When I called they said they had a set of mats for several weeks but "nobody knows who they belong to." They called me back a few hours later and said they were mine. 2nd problem...I'm driving on a paper tag, and at the closing my salesman told me "the girl who takes care of tag paperwork is gone for the week but she'll do it when she gets back." She didn't. He didn't tell her. I called today and he admitted, "I dropped the ball on that one, but the mats aren't my fault." If I drive it 3 days from now, my tag will be out of date. Finally, I'm an old man and I asked for help understanding the features , buttons, screens, etc. He said, "I can give you a couple of minutes," which he did. 2 minutes. I've read a bunch of sterling reviews about this dealership. My experience has been poor. I would not recommend you buy a vehicle from this dealership based on my experience. read more

I was tied up at work, my wife was reluctant to deal with "sales people" on her own. It couldn't have been a more pleasant experience for her. I recently was traveling from VA to NC pulling a camper with my daughter in my F-350. Had a part in the engine fail and Stott's Ford was the only dealership that had a replacement within a 4 hour radius. Spoke to the service department representative who was extremely professional and nice about the issue. They held the part for me and ensured they would get me back on the road even though I could not reach their location until 15 minutes before closing. The service mechanic immediately replaced the part and had me headed back to get my camper which was sitting onside of the highway 4 hours in the other direction. Ironically, 2 days later while we were still in NC for a horse show my front wheel bearing was failing and they fixed that issue also before heading home. I don't usurally use dealerships for repairs. I was visiting Tryon with a Dodge truck when my A/C went out. The compressor was not engaiging. With no other place in town to go to I went to Stoot's.I figured they would sell me a new compressor or something. It turned out that a connector plug must have wiggled loose on the compressor.
