This is my second time doing business with Monroe Tire and I will never go anywhere else! I've had issues on and off for the past five years that have always been related to worn rear brakes. They would be replaced and work okay for awhile before eventually landing me in a shop where I would once again replace them. Today, they were the first and only establishment to uncover the true source of the problem. Although it was more money than I expected or would've liked to spend, they took care of something that handfuls of other mechanics either failed to find or simply didn't care enough to fix. Their employees are knowledgeable, honest, friendly, and their mechanics are very skilled. They take the time to truly inspect your vehicle and communicate with you every step of the way so that you always know what's going on. This has been vital for someone like me who doesn't know jack about much of any of it. I also respect the fact that they don't use my lack of knowledge to take advantage of me all for the sake of more profit. My twelve year old car drives and feels the best that it has since driving it off the lot I bought it from. I would recommend them to anybody needing repairs or regular maintenance done any day!! It is such a joy to deal with professionals who understand their business; and that describes the philosophy and staff at Monroe. I needed to replace 4 tires on my RV Travel Trailer (the tow vehicle and trailer are a combined 51 feet long). Not a problem for these guys . . . they have a designated work area just for this type of service. In the appointment process they explained exactly how to pull in and get out with the least amount of hassle. They were able to ensure me that the technician was well experienced in the proper way to jack the frame so as not inflict damage to the peculiar RV axels. I waited in the extremely nice customer lounge while they performed the service. Upon departure a very astute staff member went out to guide and assist in the backing out process, which with this rig required going to the street to halt traffic. Top notch all the way around. The main building is in great shape, but it doesn't stop there. They have a fantastic waiting facility that is unlike anything I have seen at any auto repair/tire shop. Customer service was fantastic. One of my big concerns with going to a service center, someone is going to try to sell me something I really don't need. NOT here! They truly understand taking care of their customers, and building a relationship, and doing what is right by the customer. Chris, the owner of the business took the time to explain what was going on with my Jeep, and explained things in a way that I could understand. Chris Monroe (owner) as well as the employees are top notch. They are knowledgeable about everything concerning our automotive needs. I have been in Shelby for many years and have had several of my cars as well as family members and friends' cars serviced at Monroe Tire. I recently had to purchase tires and needed great tires for a reasonable cost. The service I received was quick and customer oriented. They have a comfortable place to wait for service to be finished, and the store is within walking distance to a variety of places to shop and eat if needed. These guys are the best! Very knowledgeable with all the needs of my car. They were able to service my car in every way. I've always taken my car to dealership for certain services only because I was always told that the dealer could only get certain parts possibly needed. Not the case! Monroe Tires saved me tons of money and will always be my one stop shop. Whether it be for tires, oil change, inspection or any other services needed. Heck! I love the customer service at Monroe! They watch out for and check all the details of my vehicle every time I take it for routine maintenance. If something is found that I should be concerned about, I am notified, the problem is explained to me, I am given a chance to see the actual item of concern, then given a suggested repair. We can't say enough good things about Monroe Tire. Our truck is from the north and had undercoating still on it. Other shops took one look and decided that there was a massive oil leak and that the rack and pinion and shocks were leaking and needed to be replaced. The people at Monroe Tire took the time to ask us about the vehicle and correctly determined that these were not leaks but undercoating material. Not only do they do great work, but they keep you informed during the entire process through text messages and send you a complete writeup of the work they've done along w/recommendations for anything you may need in the future. I have had Monroe's service my vehicles for years! They performed a brake service for my car about 5 months ago and I started having issues with my brakes. I made an appt online took my car in, dropped my car off and they called me told me my brakes would be replaced with no charge.
