Had to actually get back in touch with one of the contractors because he had forgotten to send me the estimate for the project. Got in touch with W & A construction, William P. showed up on time to have a look at the repairs that needed to be done, sent me an estimate in a timely manner. William and his crew showed up on time to start with the project, got to work right away and I was very happy with the results and the price, repairs looked better than brand new. I do recommend W & A construction, very professional business, will call them again in the future.

Got five competitive bids from various contractors in NOVA. Some submitted responses verbally, some thru Yelp, and others with a written proposal. I prefer to do business in writing so sufficed to say, I did not pick the low cost submission. The work included (1) repairing, replacing, painting... 4 trim areas high up on my three story TH, (2) repairing, filling, and painted two Woodpecker holes high up on my home (3) cleaning. caulking, and painting my exterior rear slider door (4) cleaning all my gutters of debris. I received proposals from $2700 to $13,000... a really broad range. I selected W & A for several reasons. (1) the provided the best value with a comprehensive proposal, (2) they provided excellent references. (3) and most importantly .... They were responsive, patient, flexible and willing to negotiate. Let me reiterate the importance of .....William and Anna's customer service through my evaluation process (1) Responsive : when I sent them email and yelp messaging, , they responded with 2 hours (2) they were patient, through out my 3 month evaluation and iterated with me on my questions and requirements changes (3) they allowed payment terms that fit my requirements. The workers were professional and clean. They were flexible working on a Saturday to accommodate my schedule. They even took care of a few other smaller items while on the job. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND W & A Construction for your home renovation and repair needs. I'll be calling them again for other home repairs in the future!! Thanks William for your contracting service.

Of the four contractors contacted, Wesly responded quickly and was at our house the next day asking all the right questions. we also discussed two other projects, more in just passing, but interested in what she would come back with. Within a day, she came back with a series of quotes, one for the stair job we needed, which was very reasonable and for a design that worked very well. Her team showed up the next day and were efficient and very detailed. Our three step project was done in a day and looked great! Although we told Wesly the price on the other patio resurface project was a bit more than we were ready to take on, didn't stop her from finding another option that cut the cost using a ceramic tile that offered better wear, more color options and a design that better matched our house. We could afford that! We were also able to redo a ghastly concrete step from our den that a prior owner bought at Home Depot and dumped in place. Wasn't to code either. The Team was back out and did a marvelous job! They were there three days, morning to late evening getting the job done. The result updated the back of our house, the slate and brick step off the den was to code and the patio was comfortable to walk on and made my wife's patio set look really good. Short story: J & J Quality was a real find and we are already talking about another project! if you need a job done right and for a good price, give Wesly and Team a call.

Mistakes will happen of course, and there were many but, when I asked a few times that they be repaired, they were addressed. However, in June 2023 when C&C was finalizing the deck, Mr. Mullins recommended that I use Ronald Owens to install gutter guards around my whole house since gutters were going to need to be replaced due to the new deck. The fee for the gutter guards was supposed to be $600 to which I agreed and included in my payment to C&C. Mr. Owens installed the guards while Mr. Mullins was working on my deck. Afterwards, each time it rained; the rain came down in a sheet of water in the front of my house despite the new gutter guards. I alerted Mr. Mullins to the issue while he was here, and he stated (without climbing on a letter and looking at the guards) that they were covered by debris falling from my trees and that he would return with a blower to remove the debris. He never returned - despite another reminder in person when they were painting my deck, two emails (starting in July 2023), 11 text messages and six photos of the gutter guards. The gutter guards are completely clear - I had perfect photos taken which I shared with Mr. Mullins hence, my pleas to fix the situation. However, he ignored by pleas for help. I have also called Mr. Owens three times, sent five text messages and sent a photo of the gutter guard showing that it is free of debris. Neither company is responding so, the gutter guards were a waste of money and time. In the event it is helpful to know these facts, I am placing them here. Thank you.

There really was not much of a decision based on our history with Blaine. We were not disappointed. Remodeling a kitchen is much different than remodeling a bathroom - many more moving parts and design decisions. The kitchen remodel highlighted the best trait about Blaine. You can discuss design alternatives throughout the process. He listens and provides the pros and cons. He will go out of this way to ensure you are happy with the result. The name Fine Line Constructions speaks for itself. Blaine's attention to detail is amazing. He will spot imperfections and fix them before you even notice the problem. And on those rare occasions when you are not 100 percent pleased with the result, Blaine will address the issue without question. I am not sure what our next remodeling project will be, but when hiring a General Contractor our first choice will be Fine Line Construction.

We first met Blaine and his crewmate, Nick, back in 2022. We can't say enough about them and what…read morethey've managed to do for us since that time; the below will be our attempt. Over the past year and a half they've masterfully completed several jobs for us, and we have them on the books for several more. They have dug out and installed french drains with sump pumps as well as repaired and painted walls, ceilings, and brickwork. All of these things were done expertly. But the most significant work they've done was to create, from the ground up, an addition to our house. We call it an addition, a sunroom, our new "hang out all day" room. A 14x16 vaulted ceiling with support beam masterpiece, the casement windows are all handmade with the finest craftsmanship and care. They spent hours, days and weeks measuring, sanding, staining, painting, glueing, nailing, and appraising. Perfection was the goal and it was accomplished over and over again. We were especially appreciative of the creativity and thoughtfulness with design and vision: Blaine especially was adept at providing the many options involved in all aspects of the job to choose from - such as tile material and color to stain shades - and then, when asked, gave his highly informed and relevant ideas and opinions. And when supplier issues and delays occurred as they always seem to these days they were undeterred and never rushed nor took shortcuts. They were always punctual, courteous, and up front with all details and accounting. Our cost overages were insignificant. We couldn't be happier with them and their work, and the end result was well beyond what we expected.
