TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE -- HOMEOWNERS, READ THIS BEFORE USING ALLCLAIMS PRO OR SMARTROOF!…read more I had an extremely disappointing experience with Allclaims Pro after being referred to them by SmartRoof. Based on my experience, I would urge homeowners to do their homework before trusting either company with their roofing project and insurance claim. I hired Allclaims Pro to represent me in handling my homeowners insurance claim with USAA. I was led to believe they would manage the insurance process, communicate with the insurance company, and work to obtain the additional coverage needed to complete my home repairs. After Allclaims Pro conducted its initial inspection, I went months without receiving meaningful communication or updates. I repeatedly tried contacting the company by phone and email, but my attempts went unanswered. I was led to believe they were working to obtain additional insurance coverage, but I saw no meaningful progress toward resolving my claim or getting my repairs completed. I eventually contacted my USAA claims representative and was told that USAA had not heard from Allclaims Pro for months and believed the matter had been settled and repairs were underway. Meanwhile, I was left without a clear claim status, and my homeowners association was pressuring me for updates about my repairs. I even had to contact SmartRoof, the roofing company that referred me to Allclaims Pro, to try to get answers. SmartRoof was unable to provide me with a meaningful update confirming the status of my claim. This left me wondering why I had been referred to a company that I could not get to communicate with me about something as important as my home repairs. When I finally decided to terminate my agreement with Allclaims Pro, I had to send a formal termination request and fight to get released from the contract. Despite acknowledging that its communication had fallen far short of expectations, I was required to pay to terminate the agreement. This was an incredibly frustrating end to an experience in which I felt I had received little meaningful progress in return for the time I had lost. The contract also gave Allclaims Pro a financial interest in the insurance proceeds and a role in the claims process. As a customer, I felt trapped by the contractual arrangement while struggling to get basic information about my own claim. My experience left me feeling that the company had a clear path to getting paid while I was left chasing answers and trying to move my repairs forward. I cannot speak to SmartRoof's internal operations or say that it was responsible for Allclaims Pro's actions. However, SmartRoof referred me to this company, and when I went back to SmartRoof for help obtaining answers, I still could not get a meaningful claim-status update. That experience has seriously affected my confidence in the referral. Four months went by, my claim remained unclear to me, and I was left trying to get out of a contract just to move forward. I hired these companies expecting professional service and help with my roofing and insurance situation. Instead, I experienced months of frustration, poor communication, and uncertainty. I would not use Allclaims Pro again, and my experience has also made me reluctant to recommend SmartRoof. MY WARNING TO OTHER HOMEOWNERS: Do not assume that a referral means a company will provide the service and communication you expect. Before signing anything with Allclaims Pro, carefully read every contractual provision, especially termination fees and rights involving insurance payments. And before choosing SmartRoof, ask how its referrals are vetted and what assistance it will provide if the company it recommends fails to communicate or deliver. I got robbed!!!!
