The company is very good at putting up a new composite roof quickly which looks great from the street. However, that speed came with some trade-offs. We discovered multiple issues after the field team reported the work was complete. To their credit, the company's leadership ultimately stood by their work and had the major issues fixed. We chose to address some of the minor issues ourselves after reaching a point of diminishing returns. We are hopeful the new roof lasts. read more

We hired C2 to replace vinyl siding, as well as provide insulation and house wrap. We also had them replace all our gutters and downspouts and install gutter guarding. The estimate was thorough, pricing explained up front. What we appreciated was their contract - spelled everything out and was easy to understand. The project was quoted at 1 week. They had the job done in 1 week. Workers were respectful and did an amazing job. Kept our yard clean. After the work was completed, a second employee came to perform a final sweep of our property for nails, trash, etc. The work speaks for itself. After a tree fell on our house we needed someone to replace our roof, siding on one side of the house, and gutters. C2 was among several companies that provided estimates on these items. We chose C2 for the siding and gutters - their prices were very competitive and we like to use local businesses whenever possible. They did an excellent job matching the siding and were flexible in scheduling the work around other contractors. They also recommended some adjustments to the gutter connections that not only look better, but do a much better job of managing the water. They came to replace a fascia - it was a simple job, that was below their minimum fee. I needed the job done, so would have had to pay the minimum, but they came and checked on and fastened any loose shutters so that we got value out of their minimum fee, without me asking for it. This is the mark of a great service company that cares more about their customers satisfaction than squeezing pennies out of a job. They used Certainteed brand materials which at a higher quality product was still cheaper than the competitor's offer. The crew was hard workers and friendly. We had a hailstorm take out our attic vent, leaving a gaping hole in the side of our house. It was hard to find anyone to help us with the repair, as it was too small of a job for some of the siding companies, but at the same time too high up and complicated for a handyman. C2 Operations responded quickly to help us and treated it with the utmost professionalism. The new attic vent cover looks absolutely perfect and integrates seamlessly with the house. UPDATE: C2 operations reached out to me after my review to apologize for the issues I encountered and to explain the steps they have taken to address the types of issues I mentioned below in the future. I now give them 5 stars for customer service and end product, but still 1 1/2 stars for the original work performed. I have updated my overall review to 3 stars. Original: I called C2 operations and a few other companies to replace my gutters and install gutter guards in March of 2017. The estimator was polite and professional, their quote was one of the more reasonable ones from the estimates we received. There was good communication from C2 operations prior to the installation. During the estimate I noted how 2 downspouts from my upper roof discharged water onto my garage roof, and how my current gutters couldn't handle the influx of water coming down. I asked if instead we should have downspouts that fully connected the upper roof to the garage roof gutter, I was told it wasn't necessary. The crew arrived, and did the whole job during one afternoon. As part of the quote they were going to replace a bathroom fan exhaust vent cap, but the crew told me they were subcontractors and someone else from C2 operations would come by for the vent cap. After the crew left I noticed there was a lot of debris all around the house, including pieces of shingles, nails, and strips of metal. I spent a few hours collecting about 2 grocery bags worth of roofing debris from around my house. A few days later we had a big thunderstorm. Where the downspouts exited water onto my roof, there was a large amount of water coming off of my roof not being caught by the gutter, as I suspected would happen. After the thunderstorm, I went up on a ladder to look at the gutter area that was overwhelmed, and noticed there were torn, damaged shingles on the roof near the edge in that area. I looked at other areas of my roof up close on a ladder and continued to see torn shingles all around my house. This was not unacceptable. The installers damaged my roof while installing the gutters, and did not mention it to anyone. No one from C2 operations came out after they did the work to inspect it. I called C2 operations and showed them video of the water coming off of my roof, as well as pictures of the torn shingles. The estimator came back out, took a look, and told me all issues would be resolved. A few days later another person from C2 operations arrived. The worker was very professional and polite, and replaced shingles around the edge of my roof where they had been damaged by the other workers. He also installed downspouts from our upper roof to the garage roof at no cost. After the second round of repairs, I have been happy with the performance of my gutters and gutter guards. In the end, I am impressed with the gutters and gutter guards and the customer service C2 provided to resolve my issues. However, C2 operations needs to review the work performed to make sure it is done correctly and has not caused damage. If I hadn't gotten on a ladder to look at my roof, I'd likely have some serious water damage in my house. read more

This is long but, a future customer may find this helpful. Overall: I am very happy with C2 and would highly recommend them to anyone. Their responsiveness is top notch and their prices cannot be beat in my opinion. I just think a little more attention to detail would be a recommendation for the teams they send out. Pros: In a panic from the windstorm in March, I phoned several different contractors from the NOVA area and C2 was definitely the most responsive and helpful. Danielle is an absolute doll and very helpful through the entire ordeal. They installed a tarp on my roof at a much cheaper rate than several other roofers in the area quoted and they did schedule me for an estimate within a reasonable time frame for roof replacement/repair. Within a month (insurance and HOA's make these processes long plus, C2 was slammed with calls), I had a team from C2 replacing my roof. The day they showed up, you can see from my photos that they placed tarps around the area to avoid debris damaging anything as they stripped my old roof off. They were very efficient in quickly removing the old roof and installing the new roof in less than 12 hours. The team did do the occasional walk around for shingles that blew off and landed on the neighbors decks and did look for nails by eye. When the team left, you can see from the after pictures that it was nice and clean without any shingle residue left behind. I requested through Jason regarding a nail sweep and he assured me that the following day, someone would come out to sweep for nails on my neighbors decks and my driveway again. Cons: The answering service they have while being so swamped could use a lesson in listening. There were several times I called and expressed a need to speak to Danielle, as I was an existing customer, and I would receive rude/scripted responses. Not always though, just once or twice but, it's not necessary. A few neighbors knocked on our door to compliment our roof and pointed out that our fascia was warped and not installed correctly post roof completion. This was disheartening as it's a lack of attention to detail. The fascia on our townhomes all look identical and this was clearly warped and unpleasant looking. I did call and email photos of the damage we saw and they DID promptly respond to fix it, which was fantastic. However, that took two visits. On the first visit, a tech was sent out who, as it appeared, hammered the fascia, which ended up leaving a mark on it and you could see it was hammered. That again, is a lack of attention to detail. More of a "quick fix" get it done they may not notice. This time my husband called to complain and Jason called me back and asked I send him pictures. He had two men come out a day later to end up replacing the fascia, as it was too badly damaged to just straighten out. I wish the team initially noticed this, as they also made an error with installing the from fold over piece for the fascia, leaving a gap, which I was informed wouldn't be able to be properly fixed as it would require lifting off part of the new roof. Which, the two men who came reached out to their supervisor and fixed with new fascia and had it done in no time. A side note: the teams should really use a magnet when nail sweeping. It's understandable that as rain storms come, nails might flow down a drain pipe that was lost in replacement but, we did end up cleaning up a fair amount of nails from our neighbors driveways and back decks. read more

Our 22-year old "cheap grade" windows were long overdue for a replacement, and C2 was one of 3 places I called for an estimate. Chris himself did the estimate, and his price was lower than everyone else, by a lot. Normally, this would be a flag for me, but absolutely NOBODY puts a map of every job they've done on their website for potential clients to check out. They are clearly proud of their work, and with good reason. The crew that came out to replace 27 windows and 3 doors on a couple of the hottest days this summer were professional and got it done in 2 days. It's that time of year again for all of these severe storms and I wanted to reiterate just how wonderful C2 Operations took care of my dad's roof. He had been battling a leak that he couldn't find and had another roofing company come out and look at it. They told him that it was going to be very expensive to fix. Let's just say it was going to be well over $10,000 and I am being very conservative with their quote. This is also a roofing company that has been in Loudoun County for a very long time that he trusted and "thought" was reputable. I told him to get a 2nd opinion with Randy at C2 and see what he could do for him. Randy was out within the next couple of days and found the problem. It cost nowhere NEAR what the other company had quoted him...just @ $1,000. He also had the work done in a timely manner before the next rainfall as well. I was utterly disgusted with the other company and wondered how many other people they screwed over with their overpriced quotes. I know how C2 Operations runs and their reputation is A+ in my book. Found this company on Yelp and couldn't be happier. They removed the old satellite dishes from a rental property and repaired the shingles underneath. After such prompt service at my rental property they came and repaired a leak on my roof. They offer a roof inspection for a flat rate that covers replacing a certain number of shingles. Both of my properties fell into that category. I waited for a heavy rain before reviewing and I can say with confidence the leak (that another company was already on my roof for) has finally been repaired. Thanks! read more

C2 was the third quote I received to replace my roof and repair some rotted trim. The sales person was excellent in terms of professionalism and care. The quote was the lowest of the three so I went with C2. Scheduling was fast and easy. On the day of the work a supervisor came by and left his card in case there were any issues. The crew was excellent and very aware. Always stopping when someone was going in or out of the house especially the kids when they got home from school. The crew did a great job of cleaning up AND the next day a supervisor came by with a magnet to sweep the yard again. He also went on the roof to check the work and answer all my questions. Follow-up to 3/4/18 review. Well, damage to the roof was such that the insurance company agreed to replace the whole thing. Although I got a competing bid from another roofing company, I accepted the bid from C2. The bid included a report containing pictures of the roof taken by a camera mounted in a drone. Now, how neat is that? Not only did the report contain measurements, etc., it was one of the items I submitted to get HOA approval for the project. In addition to coming within a very few dollars of the amount the insurance company was going to pay, the C2 bid provided for upgraded shingles and additional replacement attic vent fans. The C2 crew came out in early April and installed the new shingles. It looks great! I highly recommend C2 Operations. read more

Disappointed in the service that I got. Although C2 was not the lowest estimate for replacement of doors, I went with them based on reviews here, thinking that I was hiring a professional service that would do a total job for me. Give me a price for a complete job and get it done. That service would have been worth the couple of thousand dollars extra that I spent. My home alarm system was cut and several floor tiles torn up during the installation. Fine print in the contract excluded responsibility for those, so it was up to me to hire others to do the repairs. Fair enough. I'll pay for those repairs. I should have had my lawyer go over the contract. The doors were installed with incorrect hardware, despite assurances from the estimator that hardware would match. During a second visit to "micro measure", I was also assured that hardware would match. It didn't. Not even close. Upon requesting that the hardware be corrected, I was told that it was my responsibility to check model numbers and names on the order to be sure that correct hardware was ordered. (Not being a door hardware expert familiar with models and part numbers, I had no way of doing this.) After repeated emails and a phone call, C2 firmly refused to correct the hardware, saying that it was my responsibility. A less than $200 fix on a $12,000 order would have made for a happy customer. Now, I must hire another firm to install correct hardware. I expected C2 to deliver customer satisfaction, only to be told that it was my fault for trusting them and approving the part numbers on the order. If you want a contractor that delivers a total solution, look elsewhere. That said, other than the unexpected work required from me after installation and the failure to make good on incorrect hardware, the door installation was completed and the crew was professional and careful. Update: The dissatisfaction with the work done for my dad centers on one specific problem. After 2 specification measuring visits, where he was assured that hardware would match, he was presented with a contract to sign which had model numbers for hardware. Not being familiar with hardware part numbers and trusting C2s assurance, he did sign the order. As the reply clearly shows, C2 is most concerned with blaming the customer for their mistake in hardware part numbers. A simple exchange of hardware and installation of the correct hardware would have solved the issue. Instead, the C2 owner seemed fixated on blaming my dad. A fix, costing about 1 hour of C2 time, would have resolved the problem on a $12,000 job. My dad accepted the cut alarm system and damaged floor and had that fixed elsewhere as his expense. I was under pressure from our HOA to get a small piece of siding that was torn off during a storm replaced. It was a small job so no contractors wanted to waste time on it. The window was leaking when it rained and C2 was able to get all the way up there and remove the siding and see the problem(s) with the J channel on the window and found that Wash Homes didn't put a 'wrapper' on our house under the siding. There was just a little cardboard keeping the insulation between that and the drywall inside. That explains feeling like I could feel wind in the middle of the night going into the bathroom;) read more
