What I was not happy about was the error in the contract in their addition that ended up costing me an additional $8000 that I was not expecting and to be honest had I known it was going to be $8000 more than the bottom line showed I probably would not have had this particular roof put on. I thought it was unprofessional that their contract was incorrect. I was advised by many people not to pay the additional money, that had I hired a lawyer I would not have been responsible for the extra amount because it was not the amount for which I signed. But I paid it because I felt that I was morally responsible because the correct amounts were listed they just weren't added correctly and so the bottom number was incorrect and I felt that I should've read the contract better and done the math myself instead of trusting them that their numbers were correct. My feeling was they should've eaten half of the $8000 for their error and I tried to get them to accept responsibility but they said they'd be losing money if I didn't pay the full $8000..... Yeah right, give me a break. So, the bottom line is.... Yes they did great work and they were nice guys to work with. I would just advise you to read everything and make sure you know what you're signing. Up until this bombshell that we owe an additional $8000 (and let me tell you that is a lot of money to us) the process was very enjoyable but this left a really bad taste in our mouth for the company and I would not recommend them because of it.

I say 1970's because with an addition on my home, the structure of the roof on that part is rather odd, likely not what you would have on a new build. There were no hidden costs or anything. Recently there were a couple of leaks (after a decade of the installation), likely a result of the pitch of my roof along one ridge and the direction of wind driven rain; or maybe because my house is cursed with problems in general. Even after that many years, Brandy was very responsive and fixed the issues promptly at no charge. In my experience, rarely (if ever) will a contractor do that. I see a few of the negative reviews and I have a very hard time believing that they are accurate. The workmanship was excellent and Brandy was/is very professional and respectful. If you want a metal roof, Alpha Rain is a top-notch company to do the work and rely on to address unforeseen problems.

And we called Windows World. The salesperson who came out was not on commission. He did not do a hard sell like the first person. He just talked about doors. We wanted a french door that would swing out. First bidder said he could do that. The WW sales person said that it was not possible because that's not how doors are made. He said they would do it if we signed a release accepting that we wanted the door installed backwards. The WW experience was pleasant and efficient. The quote was under $20K. Quite a bit under. It takes awhile to get the product so now we wait but, if you need doors and probably windows, don't forget these guys. I think they are honest and I hope they do a good job manufacturing and installing our doors.

I paid for them to replace a flat roof and repair damages caused by the water infiltration including patching where water may enter in the future and patching/replacing sheetrock and painting that was done. I also paid for them to notch, punch, and hang doors. Jenny (owner's wife) submitted a quote after Tim (owner), outlined the work and the materials in August, I paid a deposit and work began in September. The issues immediately started. Tim walks the site for the quote but is rarely if ever found on site to review materials or quality of work. They quoted me for materials that I paid for, and used INFERIOR materials. After I confronted Tim, he lied about the materials, I had to remind him that my boyfriend in fact was an architect and knew that the material in the pictures (I asked for status pictures at EOD) where not what was quoted. He never rectified this issue. My boyfriend and I had to walk the roof and have the workers fix quite a few issues that were scoped out and discussed as a part of the work including a CLEARLY distressed chimney that would have allowed for water penetration upon ANY rain. The roofers had to come back 3 times for the issues to be resolved. Tim? Once. The work inside of the house? Still not done. There are gashes in doors, My ceiling? covered in gray primer for THREE months and counting. Door frames? Split, cracked, and not fixed. I have called. I have attempted to reschedule. I have sent emails. Texted pictures and STILL have not heard back from them. Tim's preferred way of working is to have you the customer GC and quality check the work - because he is not able to or willing to do so. In fact, he attempted to blame me for not correcting the work in real time, as if I am the foreman. You're better off getting a bunch of "handy men" and throwing them in a room to do the work because that is effectively what Tim does. They will promise you the moon, and at the end of it you will have wished you never even asked them for the quote.

I called them out to look at the fact that their work was substandard and to point out the issues. The "foreman" (Dennis) said to me, after not being able to explain the issue, "well you signed the contract!" They put down some "compact dirt" and I never heard from them again. I have flooding and apparently zero drainage. I WOULD NOT trust them with a potted plant. If anyone wants to take a look at their work in my backyard, let me know - it speaks for itself! Business Owner Response: Yes, I did say that at that time and Dennis also said that they would follow-up after "adding compressed dirt." After his dismissive comment when I asked your company to look at what was not corrected, which your quality assurance person witnessed, that did not leave me with a feeling that anything would be done if I initiated contact again. You are free to come and see what it is going on now. Yes it was done in 2021 and we have been dealing with it ever since. We spend a huge amount of money and went by guarantees that Denis himself made about how this would all be fixed and it is obviously not. Everything was explained to him when he did the estimate, nothing changed but when he did the work and I brought the issue to his attention rather than addressing the issue, the response was, "well you signed the contract." I am happy to discuss further, if you would like. To be clear, I did not wait "almost two years:" your foreman and "quality" person came out shortly after the work was done. I finally called East Coast Roofing at 7:00AM on my way in to work knowing that it was calling for rain this evening. Rob was very professional and polite and said that he would be take care of this right away. I got a call back from Rob at 09:00 saying that he was on my roof and had found the leak. I called several roofing companies to fix a leak in a townhouse roof and couldn't get anyone on the…read morephone. These folks answered the phone! The next day, they came out and fixed the leak. Since then, I have asked for their help one other time. They only fix the roof...they do not install new ones. There is a flat fee to do the work unless the estimate will be more than the flat fee of about $300. Bottom line...this guy answers the phone, does the work and sends a bill. In both cases, no more leaks. Makes me happy. :) If you need a repair, hire this company.
