So unfortunately it was time for our home to have it's roof completely replaced. Our huge summer home project definitely needed to go smoothly and as inexpensive as possible. I did a little research on line and thru Home Advisor and I found Modern Renovations out of Martinsburg WV with a satellite office in Winchester VA. I contacted their office for a free estimate and I was put on their schedule very quickly. An older gentleman showed up (I'm sorry I'm bad with names) and he had already had an estimate in hand. They use Google Earth and some other software to calculate everything ahead of time which was very helpful. The man never gave me the "pushy salesman talk" trying to get me to say yes right then and there which I absolutely respect. I called a 2nd company which is a larger corporation and I had a completely different experience with their estimate. Comparing the two estimates, Modern Renovations beat that other company by $45,000, no that's NOT a typo. The materials were identical and so was the warranties of the materials and workmanship. It's safe to say that I went with Modern Renovations and I'm glad we did. The materials were delivered on time and my roof replacement was done less than a week later. The workers were pleasant and professional making sure my property was safe and clean. They stripped my roof and replaced everything that day. I have and will recommend Modern renovations to all of our family and friends for the fabulous job they did on our home. The Quality and service is second to none. The workers were like clockwork on time each day even when the weather was cold. To start off this endeavor for guttering and siding I met with 4 contractors and evaluated knowledge/Quality/history and of course cost analysis. He quickly turned around a quote at a great price and worked us into the schedule to get both done fast before closing. Both homes had large, complex rooflines, and each was completed in two days. I had a really bad leak in my roof and when Modern Renovations came out, they offered a repair to save money but I also requested a whole roof estimate. They were really fair on the pricing and I chose to get my roof redone. These guys got my roof tarped for me and then told me it would take about 4 weeks to get done. Several windows had to be cut out of the brick, which is no small task, but they handled it with skill and care.
