    Strawberry matcha latte
    Tiffany L.

I had the BEST hot strawberry matcha latte here. I made the mistake of not drinking water for several hours after I had it so I couldn't fall asleep for an hour but lesson learned. I would 100% go back to get this again. I always get an iced version because the idea of strawberries in a hot drink doesn't sound appealing, but the flavor of this was incredible!!! It's quite small inside but there was one table for two that was free. There's also baked goods available although I didn't try any.

I've had this coffee shop on my list based on previous social media posts. It's a small open space with outdoor bench like seating with one table inside. I went around 12pm lunch time and there was quite a crowd. I always ask the cashier their best + favorite drink and was sold on the cloud latte.

Tried the famous creme brûlée latte and it was good! The custard on top is what makes it delicious. It needs to be mixed well to enjoy it without being too bitter. It's a small space so very minimal seating. Definitely not a space to work in. Ordering was easy and our drinks came shortly after. I'd definitely come back and get this drink again!

Ordered the crème brûlée latte and honestly it was delicious. The brûléed sugar topping was to die for and really made it. My only complaint is the price... $13 for one drink is kind of wild. Really good, but probably more of an occasional splurge than an everyday coffee run.

It's hard not to spot the small details that make this place special. Whether you're in a rush or looking to lounge around the area, expect to be transported into the ambiance Foreigner provides. The drinks are top tier and when indecisive, the staff is equipped to help. It's relaxed, smooth, and is designed to leave you wanting more.

Saw several people on social media really enjoy Foreigner & claiming it is the best coffee in New York. The jury is still out on this one for me. I got one of the specialty lattes (baklava latte) and it really did not have any resemblance to baklava to me. None of the notes came through. Wasn't bad and would give it another shot if I'm in the neighborhood.

((4.25 stars)) a very small coffee shop located on the edge of the Flatiron District. modern space, not much seating inside aside from the couple of seats near the window. most of the coffee shop is the coffee bar. Foreigner offers a menu of specialty coffee drinks along with more standard coffee & tea drinks. thought the Espresso Spritz is a fun cooling coffee drink during warm weather. most other times, i have ordered an Americano which was always solidly made. this coffee spot is very much a grab and go but it works in an area populated with so many businesses around it.

Came across this coffee shop in thanks to tik tok. It is also a photo studio in the back I believe. It's a very small coffee shop with one table and like 2-3 bar stools. There are also two wooden chairs outside to enjoy your coffee in. Very clean and nice presentations of what they offered. I wanted to try one of their special drinks which was the Crème brûlée latte. In the pictures I have seen online and social media it looked awesome. I knew going into it that this drink was crazy pricy! $13.00 + tip! The most I have ever spent on an iced latte. I was hoping it would be like the BEST iced latte I have ever tasted. Well I was wrong! I was disappointed too. Not sure if the one person that was there when I was there is always there but I wish he could have put more fire on the Mascarpone to make it more like hard and crispy burnt tasting. The person was nice don't get me wrong. But not sure if there are other people who work here who would have made it differently. I also think there was a bit too much Mascarpone. I added cinnamon to it too to see if it would help the taste. There are other specialty drinks here I would like to try, so I hope to get back here soon.

Came across this coffee shop from how viral it went on tik tok. The space itself pretty small, cozy, and minimalist. I wanted to try the Crème brûlée latte of course since all the videos and pictures on social media looked amazing. It was good, but not $13 good. For that price I expect it to be life changing/the best latte I've ever had, which it wasn't. The baristas were nice though, and service was quick. Unfortunately at this price point and average taste, I don't see myself returning to try their other items

This review is a bit overdue and I finally got my hands to write it. My friend and I popped in to try a crème brûlée latte(?) that was all over both of our for you page on well know social media app. So since people were raving about it at the time, we had to try. The drink itself was more or less "expectation/reality" meme. It was made in a rush and barista did not seem thrilled to having to make it. It tasted just.....okay? The top was barely toasted so it was essentially just a latte with extra thicc (with two "c"s) cream on top. My friend got a Vietnamese cortado (?? May remember the name of this drink wrong, it's been a while). She was disappointed with it for both the taste and presentation. She was hoping to have it served the same was as in picture inside the cafe. The seating situation is not great. There's one small table in the corner, and a couple of counter seats, but that's about it. So definitely not the kind of place you'd want to sit down at and share a drink with someone and catch up.

Walking in i did not know what to expect but by my surprise the service was amazing my drink was fabulous and i was able to catch up with a friend i cant wait to return. Thanks for the great service p.s and it was my birthday and it started off so perfect

I was at this quaint tea shop east of Koreatown earlier in the evening before going to a meal at the excellent new Thai place, Wanglang. The staff was very friendly, and they specialize in matcha, along with having hojicha, genmaicha, black tea, and sencha. Along with more traditional drinks, they also have fruit options as well as black sugar jelly (I presume kuromitsu) and a Japanese citrus that's not seen much here, hyuganatsu. Along with the citrus, this place is rather unique as they had three different matcha options in terms of variety. As I tend to prefer teas pure and without add-ons, I ordered the Matcha Americano, which is simply matcha and water. I went with the 12-oz version for $6 + tax and ordered the Hajime, though I would likely get the Fuku No Midori next time based on descriptions online. The matcha was solid and had a mild sweetness and a light earthiness. However, it lacked some of the mouth coating found in very high-quality drinks from Sorate or Setsugekka, while being similar in price. Still, that is comparing to some of the best, and this was still very tasty and a lot better than 90% of the places in the city, being more comparable to Kettl. I wouldn't mind going back and ordering the other matcha varietal to see whether that is a better comparison. Outside of this, I enjoyed my drink, and the staff was friendly. I hope they do well.

The space is extremely compact, functioning more like a takeout counter than a café, with only minimal room inside. The main focus here is matcha, with a distinctive approach that lets you choose between three blends: Hinata, which leans creamy and nutty; Hajime, which is more smoky and earthy; and a more traditional-style matcha profile. Drinks like the mango matcha show how they play with these bases, though fruit purées can sometimes overshadow the matcha depending on the combination. They also offer matcha powder for home use and occasional fresh pastries that add a warm, baked aroma to the space. Service is one of the strongest parts of the experience. The staff is consistently warm, attentive, and willing to explain the differences between blends in detail. The atmosphere is cozy but extremely tight, built for short visits rather than lingering. It is not a workspace or hangout café, but more of a quick stop that stands out because of its hospitality and focus on craft. Even in a busy area, it leaves a memorable impression through its matcha quality and genuinely personable service.

Located inside Hashi Market, we walked into a space that feels less like a typical café and more like discovering a hidden Japanese food stop while browsing through the store. The setup is simple but has a unique appeal, the kind of place that works well for a quick drink, dessert, or something to take with you while exploring the area. The connection to the market adds a layer of discovery that makes the visit feel more interesting, and the compact, functional design keeps the focus on the quality of the matcha rather than the surroundings. The matcha offerings are the main highlight, especially for anyone who enjoys a stronger and more authentic matcha flavor. We tried the matcha latte and appreciated that the matcha taste was noticeable rather than being overwhelmed by sweetness. The flavor had a deeper earthy quality, which made it stand out from many sweeter matcha drinks that focus more on milk and syrup. Their matcha ice cream and matcha soft serve also seem to be popular choices, and the desserts lean more toward showcasing the matcha itself instead of just using it as a flavoring. What we liked about Fujiissa is that the menu feels more creative than the standard matcha lineup. Along with traditional options, they have more unique combinations like matcha cold foam drinks and other specialty creations. The matcha affogato is especially appealing for matcha lovers because it highlights both the creamy ice cream texture and the concentrated matcha flavor together. The service was another positive part of the visit. The staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations, which made it easier to decide what to try. Since the space is connected to a Japanese market, it is also a nice place to browse before or after getting a drink rather than being only a quick grab-and-go stop. Fujiissa is a great spot for anyone looking for matcha that has a stronger flavor and a more Japanese-inspired feel. It is not the place to recommend if you prefer very sweet dessert-style matcha, but for people who enjoy the actual taste of matcha, the drinks and desserts are worth checking out. The combination of the market setting, unique menu options, and quality matcha makes it a memorable stop, offering a matcha experience that feels both authentic and thoughtful without overcomplicating what it sets out to do.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

We walked into a space where the interior is one of the biggest highlights, featuring floral décor, chandeliers, and cozy seating that gives the room a refined yet comfortable atmosphere. Despite being in the middle of Koreatown, it feels like a quiet escape from the busy streets outside, with a calm, polished energy that makes it equally suitable for catching up with friends, celebrating a special occasion, or simply relaxing with dessert. The menu offers an extensive variety of teas alongside cakes, soufflés, waffles, and afternoon tea sets. We ordered the crepe cakes, particularly the matcha and purple yam varieties, both of which were among the standout desserts. The matcha crepe had a clean, earthy flavor that balanced well with the cream, while the purple yam offered a sweeter, more indulgent profile. The soufflés and lava cakes provide warmer options for those looking for something more substantial, and the tea selection is equally impressive, ranging from classic loose-leaf teas to milk teas and fruit-infused blends, allowing plenty of combinations to pair with desserts or light meals. There are also savory options like sandwiches and small plates, making it more than just a dessert café and giving the menu a broader appeal for a full afternoon tea experience. The atmosphere encourages lingering rather than rushing through a meal. Service is generally friendly, and the presentation of both the drinks and desserts adds to the experience. The café can become busy during afternoons and weekends, especially for afternoon tea service, so a short wait before being seated is not unusual. Once inside, however, the spacious layout and relaxed pace make it easy to settle in and take your time with the menu. Prince Tea House Ktown stands out as one of the better dessert cafés in the area thanks to its combination of beautiful décor, extensive tea selection, and well-executed desserts. It feels like a destination rather than simply a place to grab something sweet, and it is an easy recommendation for anyone looking to enjoy afternoon tea, celebrate a special occasion, or take a break while exploring Koreatown.
