Do not work for this company the employees oppress, you under the managers command. when I addressed it to the manager, he said that he has been there for five years and the owner won't do anything about it later to find out that the oppressor was actually the manager. The manager tried to break my spirit and it didn't work so then had my coworkers shake my work table. When no negative response was obtained. This happened on a Monday. Tuesday it got serious where he tried to have the employees have physical contact with me. I reported this to the owner on Wednesday and the owner told me that he did not have footage from Monday because it goes away in three days so I left. read more

This is the only Laundromat, I have ever used. I believe they offer altering as well. They are very detailed and do a flawless job with the ironing. It usually is ready within 48 hours for pick up. read more

I decided to try Fordson Cleaners. I figured since it was close to home I would give it a shot. I'm reminded why I drive out of my way to go to Stout Cleaners. When I dropped my clothes off I was greeted and acknowledged. The young was busy but still said "I'll be with you in a moment". That is what I think you should do. Go back today to pickup my clothes and there were at least 3 employees working. One on the phone, (personal cause she said let me call you back), another going out the front door, she passed me, and one in the back working. Not one hello, smile or "may I help you?". The phone lady took my slip and I had to stop her when my clothes went flying by on the rack‍. Still no nothing. So that will be my first and last time. Good customer service is sometimes hard to come by or maybe just on weekends at this establishment. read more

Owner marked up my work pants for another tailor to shorten. Always friendly and courteous. Occasional mishaps happen with some garments in all clothing establishments, but it is the relationship that they will work it out that puts you over. I've had, at other dry cleaners untoward comments about my clothes and moved up pick up dates. Nothing like that here. They are very busy M-F for tailoring and they do great work! In my previous post, I said I couldn't find anyone else that cleaned and pressed sheets but I did find someone. When I went to pick up the sheets, the fitted sheets weren't even pressed and the embroidery on some sheets wasn't ironed perfectly. I went back to Fordson. I'm unwrapping them now and I just have to say again, they do a really great job. Everything is ironed and the appliques and embroidery are ironed perfectly. I've learned my lesson. read more

I picked up my husbands dry cleaning today and i noticed discoloration on all three of his shirts. I called the store and spoke to michael the owner. He was so rude and said "I highly doubt that my machines did that" badically calling me a liar. He did not apologize and was very irate. I really was not expecting a refund even though the items total up to 190$ I was expecting him to take accountability and possibly fix the isssue if it was fixable. My husband called him afterwards and he had the same attitude with him. I will NEVER go there again and I do not recommend anyone going there. Downright rude and 1 star I wish I could give negative when your business sense tells you the first reaction is to lie and blame the customer when they say your button caused an indentation in all four of your uniform shirts in the exact same spot and they are brand new is absolutely ridiculous then it takes the morning employee to stay over sorry it was our press it does that the new people don't know how to use it properly the owner then calls you back you proceed to return his call and describe your situation and he yells at you and go slow I didn't know I thought you were someone different yeah yeah we'll fix it and hangs up absolutely ridiculous customer service when you go in and then the attempt to charge you for the cleaning of a shirt that you were forced to wear because they ruined all of your shirts and I understand that it was worn I get that but this reminds me of the penny wise dollar foolish you have lost years of uniform shirt top and bottom cleaning and pressing from me and whoever else I interact with to save $4 and treat a customer properly for your mistake because they choose to hire the equivalent of ready labor when I attempted to pick up my shirts in the afternoon employee States oh well what do you want me to do you sure this wasn't your fault and they were already there and all I wanted them to do was repress it to fix the issue and they said they don't know how to do that that's only in the morning how can you run a shop and not know how to operate a steam press it's a shame this place was on the way home but never again the place on Michigan Avenue next to Men's Warehouse does uniform shirts for 2:50 cleaned and pressed here you pay for 425 . When the owner cannot be bother enough to throw your receipt on the counter and say you handle it to your employee and turn around and walk away this place has been around for a long time and definitely needs some work save your money and go up the street they do a better job anyway. I am a new customer to Fordson Cleaners and my experience has been very good. The girls are always helpful and they are able to get spots out of my clothing. If something is missed, they will take it back and try again. They are also the most reasonably priced in the area. I took a blouse to the cleaners on Schaefer and they wanted to charge me $7.50 to clean it...it was only $4.25 at Fordson. I will definitely be back. read more

I've been coming to Fordson Cleaners for 9 months. Yesterday I pick up the same white button up shirts my son uses at his Catholic High School. The shirts are identical. All three shirts were filled with tiny bluish fuzz balls, in the pocket too, and the seam where the button fold is at too. I go back and ask the workers do they notice it too and sure they say, but couldn't make a decision to clean them without owner approval. The owner Mike calls me the following day; first thing that comes from his mouth is a defense story, not even a Good morning, sorry look this is what I believe etc... noooo, immeditaly he starts off, the shirts are brought in filthy, very filthy and it's not our fault, we use heavy chemical detergent, all that dark stuff is dirt and grime, really dirt and grime- it's fuzzy stuff. Lastly, he tells me these shirts are not dry cleaned they are laundered-wow..... I did tell him, that I wasn't trying to get a refund, or anything like that- all i want is for them to be cleaned and hopefully all the fuzz will come off. He was very rude. I proceeded to tell him, I am sure you deal with people who are rude, I am not, I have been loyal to your cleaners and all I am asking for is for the shirts to be re-cleaned-he answered yea I'm doing that favor for you. Really- you're doing me a favor. You are not the only cleaners in town. I am a customer who has integrity and can be very loyal. He just lost a customer who values customer relationships. read more
