We have taken Milo to other groomers at home in CA before and she always seems traumatized after the appointment no matter how good the place seemed. The experience at My Darling Dog's could not be more different. When we take her to MDD's Milo is SO excited, which sounds so odd but she really loves going, her tail is wagging and she is eager to get inside. Seeing how excited Milo is to see Jill and whomever else is there at the time puts my mind at ease. Someone always gives us a call within a few hours to let us know she is finished and we head over to pick her up. We always leave with a happy pup who smells and looks great. The shop is small but perfectly spacious enough for all the dogs, they all have their own crates with water bowls in them. You can see the entire grooming area when you walk in the front door which I love. I always find it a little sketchy when I can't see where people are taking my dog at other shops. It is not glamorous or fancy by any means, but that is not what matters to me. What matters is that they treat my girl so well, she leaves happy and beautiful, and they clearly really care about what they are doing. I highly, highly recommend taking your little fur babes here.

Then there was a multi-week gap in communication and eventually a text saying she didn't have the time or energy to help my pup out, all despite me having pre-paid for a 5 session pack. We purchased her puppy package for in-home training sessions with our French Bulldog, Greta. Not only did Pam teach us how to interact with her, but Greta LOVED her and learned so much from her visits. At only four months, Greta is now potty trained, comes on command, sits on command, gives, 'hi-fives,' is crate trained, started to learn how to go on walks with a harness, knows command, 'up,' and 'off,' can fetch, and we learned how to calm her when she gets over stimulated. She even began some skateboarding with her! Of course we have to put in the work to continue to in grain these things in a puppy, but I can't even begin to convey the wealth of knowledge Pam imparted on us, so that we could acclimate more into puppy life and so Greta fit into ours. Pam teaches the human as well as the dog giving you a wealth of information, going above and beyond so that you know why a dog does the things they do, how to manage the behavior, and how the dog will absorb the training. She eased my worries and I was pleasantly surprised how expertly she worked with little ones. I can't recommend her services enough.

She was sad, skittish, moping around like she wasn't feeling well... Just too much to explain clearly. Even a friend came to visit and notice something was "off" with our little Luna. I spoke with Deanna about it and she assured me that nothing happened while there. So I decided to take her back after being promised by Deanna that she herself would only care for Luna. The next (and final) visit Luna came home with a could large gashes an as scratches avoid her little belly (see pictures). We were mortified! I texted Deanna after seeing them because by then it was after hours. I received a text back from someone else staying that she had finished Luna for Deanna, and that she was sorry that sometimes the clippers get to close to the skin. UNBELIEVABLE! NEVER again will I return to her shop with my sweet little girl. I just don't understand. That's ridiculous. I do understand that this last has several new groomers. But seriously, I just can't take my baby back. I have a small 10 lb Schnoodle. She so sweet and docile. She came home from the groomers totally traumatized from something. Small she was suddenly scared to take her walls when my husband takes her out. He said everytime she hears a dog barking, she tries to run back home. Something had to have happened... We think she may have been attacked from another did while they're at the groomers, but was rescued quickly. Which would explain literally everything that her behavior is telling us. The facility is under new ownership and they're a disgrace compared to previous leadership. The branch manager is a nasty woman to say the least. They don't care about your pet, and will nickel and dime you for everything - by hiding fee notices in your pets bag so you don't see until later. They also don't seem to provide adequate care. After the last couple of visits my dog would come back home so stressed it'd take him days to re-adjust. Which did not happen before. Pet boarding is a luxury item, one which I expect great service for. There are other cheaper, better kept facilities in the area - use them, not Summit Pet Care

My vet suggested Ben at American Canine Training and he came to our rescue. He and Melanie taught my dog manners and obedience and me how to gain control and confidence over my alpha dog. They worked hard and patiently and and never gave up even when I got frustrated-it was well worth it. He and my family are much happier and look forward to many more years of friendship and love that I thought we could never have. They literally saved my dog's life!
