My son recently moved to the Los Angeles area and drives a late-1980s Chevrolet pickup. While driving, the truck suffered a catastrophic failure of the right front lower control arm, making it unsafe to drive. AAA towed the truck to Bay Auto Service. Before the truck was even unloaded from the tow truck or inspected, the person my son spoke with, who I believe was the manager, told him he could expect a repair bill of up to $2,500. Since my son had just relocated and was on a limited budget, he called me for advice. I spoke directly with the manager and asked whether anyone had actually inspected the truck or confirmed the cause of the failure. He admitted they had not. Instead, he immediately focused on whether my son had money to spend. He stated that it wasn't worth trying to help someone if they didn't have money. My son may have limited funds, but I do not, and I was prepared to help if the repair was justified. The conversation became even more disappointing when he proudly said, "No moolah, no fixie." He also stated that even if we wanted the truck repaired there, they couldn't even look at it for at least two weeks. He added that both of his mechanics were too old to push around a large truck. What bothered me most was not that they were busy or that the repair might have been expensive. Shops get backed up, and repairs can cost money. What bothered me was the complete lack of professionalism, empathy, and willingness to help someone who was clearly dealing with an emergency. A simple inspection or a respectful conversation would have gone a long way. Fortunately, we found a tire and repair shop next door. They immediately looked at the truck at no charge, correctly diagnosed the failed lower control arm, quoted a very reasonable $450 for the repair, and completed the work the very same day. That is what customer service looks like. My experience with Bay Auto Service was the exact opposite. Whether the person I spoke with was the manager or the owner, I hope this serves as constructive feedback. Treating people with respect costs nothing. Even when someone cannot immediately afford a repair, they deserve honesty, courtesy, and compassion rather than arrogance and dismissive comments. I should have reviewed them last time I got my Truck serviced here as they are simply the best I've come across. They have great customer service, and are very quick with their repairs. One thing you can be sure of is them being honest with you, and not trying to sell you on things you don't need. My first experience with Mike's was back in March when I had Spark plug miss fire. Like a genius that I am, I let it go to long and ended up having a spark plug failure when it shot loose from the car. Luckily they are close by and I limped it in, and before I could fully explain what was going on Brett was able to diagnose it from what he heard while I was coming into the parking lot. They explained what they thought the issue was, and promised a call back soon with a quote to get it fixed. Ends up it was the same issue I had about 2 years ago. They found the last repair shop had replaced the part but had used replacement parts from another manufacturer not the OEM Motorcraft parts it should have had. They didn't tell me this caused the problem, but assured me that they use genuine Ford parts and they should last longer. What puzzled me was how the quote they had given me to fix my truck was $270 lower than it was to fix the same issue, with suspect parts two years ago. Isn't inflation supposed to work the other way? Now don't get me wrong by puzzled I mean upset. They completed the repair ahead of schedule and the cost ended up being a little less than the quote. I couldn't complain, and once I got to driving it noted it was running better than ever and even getting better gas mileage. I felt a little stupid I didn't go to them sooner. Now that was March, and I've not had any issue with the repair and it's running just as good as ever. So yesterday, I came in with some brake issues. Again like a genius I waited way too long on this repair. I set an appointment for Thursday morning, but ended up being able to drop it off earlier. With the understanding they'd check it out the following morning. That was cool of them to let me drop it off earlier in the day, and made it easier to limit my driving, as I was able to drop it off on the way home. Just like before, they are fast fast fast....and were able to take a look at it before close and offer a quote to get it done. Awesome. Now since I'm a thrifty person, that early quote gave me time to do some research. Using the information they provided I was able to check around and see if the price they were offering was comparable. Not only was it comparable it was cheaper than 3 of the 4 estimates I got all of which (Minus the Ford Dealer) would be using non-oem parts. And those also did not include an oil change. I felt like an complete asshole for doubting them, and went forward with scheduling my appointment. They were able to get my car done quickly, at a little less than the quote given, but more importantly I feel safe with their work and expertise. Despite the 140,000+ miles on my truck they have it running like new again. This will be my go to place for repairs going forward. They have great , friendly, and knowledgeable staff that will help you keep your car on the road. Both times I've gone to them for repairs I've left happy. A rarity for me when I'm getting my car worked on.

I initially took my car to a Honda dealership, where I was quoted a very high price to replace my fuel injectors. I decided to get a second opinion at Buzz's, and I'm so glad I did! They were able to replace the fuel injectors for almost half of what the Honda dealership quoted me. Everyone I dealt with was incredibly nice, friendly, and helpful. They took the time to explain everything to me and even taught me a few extra things about cars, which I really appreciated. They had my car fixed and ready to go in just a couple of days, and the whole experience was so easy and stress free. And as an unexpected bonus, they even washed my very dirty car for me!
