Spoke with Cher about one of their Ford Lightnings for sale. Tried to get her to work a deal thru text, but she said I would have to visit. I advised her I'm in Lutz Florida which is about an hour out and that didn't matter. We went back and fourth and she said she has a private buyer for trade-ins, so it would be best to stop by. That piqued my interest seeing that would help get more money for their truck. On Saturday 3/21/2026, I messaged her advising I was able to stop in. As I I mentioned before I'm an hour out. She wished me a happy birthday and even said when would have balloons for me. I show up and I'm greeted by Wayne. He asked me who I was there for, I told him Cher. He asked what vehicle I was there to see. Had me sit at his desk while he called Cher. She didn't answer, so he went to get her. He was gone for 5 minutes and returns to tell me the truck I was there for sold that morning. Now I told Cher I used to sell cars, but you don't have to be a salesman to see a clear bait and switch. He immediately offered the other two Lightning and I said no thank you got up, shook his hand and left. I messaged Cher as I was in my car ready to leave and she didn't apologize for not having the truck, but again let me know about the other trucks they had. I told her I didn't come for the bait and switch and I have not heard back from her yet. I wasted over two hours just in driving. If the dealership was closer, I probably wouldn't be as upset, but this was ridiculous. My experience here at Spring Hill Ford is one if the many reasons people hate going to the dealership. For Cher to do that, knowing I was a car salesman really shows they do not care what they do, just as long as they get you in. I was robbed, ripped off, lied to, I brought my vehicle there and told them "hey it is misfiring, it is skipping, wrench light appears on my dash and goes into limp mode" I pay them $1,700 only for my car to break down 3 days later with some of the same problems that I was told was fixed!!!, I did take a picture of the wrench light that appeared on my dash and was able to coast my car into Ford, they didn't do anything for me again!! Just got my car back again after being told nothing is wrong with it, today I drove two blocks wrench light came on, went into limp mode. UPDATE - Shortly after our friends picked up their car Tuesday, the manager called. He apologized for the delay and explained that they had several people out sick. He asked for the car to be brought back the next morning. The car was dropped off and communication was much better this time around. A part needed to be ordered to be delivered the next day. The car was serviced as promised, and is running fine...so far. We appreciate the follow-up by the manager and his eagerness to make it right. Friends of ours are visiting from out of state, and had an issue with their Ford Edge. They called this "business" and were given the first available appointment for a diagnostic check, which was more than a week wait. They dropped their car off at 8:30 am on the appointed date. They called at the end of the day since they hadn't heard anything, and were told it would be the next day. Having again heard nothing from the "service" department today, we went to the dealership to check on the status if the car. It was 5th in line! I understand being short-staffed. What I don't understand is having an APPOINTMENT that is not kept on the part of the "business" and no communication or update. I went to Springhill Ford dealership last week to get an oil change and checkup. It was determined that my car needed an alignment, so I decided to have it done right away, which took forever. Once I was back on the road I noticed instantly that my steering wheel was not centered , so I called right away and was told to bing it back in the morning before 12pm and it would be corrected. I went back today and the advisor said it would be done right away. Once I saw the mechanic pulling up front with my car for check out I went to the front lobby. I saw the mechanic walk in with the paperwork shaking his head and making a grimace as to say their was nothing wrong with the car. As soon as I got back on the road I noticed that the problem was not fixed and the steering wheel was not centered once again. So either the mechanic is incompetent or plain lazy I don't know. Not too happy, apparently when you set an appointment, and drop your vehicle off for the day they don't even bother to look at it that day. Don't really understand the appointment aspect then. Total waste of my time and they didn't even bother to call me till almost closing time, all to inform me that, they didn't even look at my vehicle. They said the reason they couldn't look at it was because there computers have been down,(not my problem as a customer, they shouldn't have booked me an APPOINTMENT knowing they couldn't take on that workload) I don't understand why they made me an appointment in the first place if there computers were down. It all started with a Facebook meme, seriously! I'd been shopping for a mid-size truck for months. Since late last year, I had realized that I outgrew my current vehicle and was needing a truck. After going round and round with multiple Chevy, GMC and Ford dealers, needless to say I was exhausted. I got out of work late one night, was scrolling Facebook and came across a sponsored post from Flammer Ford. Being the sarcastic guy I am, I dropped a "wanna play a game" gif and then dropped 2 different quotes with personal identifying information removed. The next morning Art dropped a Tombstone movie gif declaring "I'll be your huckleberry" at this point I knew I was dealing with a completely different dealer. Art reached out via messenger to me, we swapped phone numbers and the games began. Only.....there were no games! Art hooked me up with Wayne and the two of them busted their chops for me! My work schedule made getting in hard (literally I've been waiting for my job to start charging me rent) and a lot of the time I would reply after 1-2AM and wake up to replies and working on things trying to hammer them out. This went on for a few weeks and we actually ended up joking with each other via text for quite a while. Art and Wayne would reach out a few times a week and we were playing one heck of a game of phone tag for a good while. Finally they were able to get me in and we were able to get to work. A+ experience, honest to god if I'm living out of state my next car purchase, I'm bloody flying or road tripping down. - ABSOLUTELY NO PRESSURE (aside from when we got comfortable and were joking with each other but even then it was Wayne and Art working towards getting me to my goal of a new truck lots of laughs involved in getting me in) - When I arrived they had the truck I was looking at pulled right up front, ready for inspection by me - When I walked in Art with a huge smile gave me a joke about me finally emerging from my house starting off with a laugh and a firm handshake - Wayne came over and realized that I had finally shown up (HA), a big smile and greeting - There were no "jedi mind tricks" to get you to come sit down, very open dealership with little to no walls or contorted hallways through the process - THE ONLY DEALER IN FLORIDA THAT THE SALESMAN/WOMAN ALLOWED ME TO TEST DRIVE THE VEHICLE ALONE -- I wasn't babysat, I was literally given the keys, a photo of my license was taken and a dealer tag put on -- as I left "take as much time as you need friend!" - Upon returning from the test drive there were no golf carts stalking me back into the lot, no impatient salesman trying to get me out and in to sign paperwork they let me work on this decision and the truck at my own pace. SALES PROCESS: - No haggling shenanigans. Seriously, I'm X-Plan which means I pay X price, it's printed straight on every invoice, this was the only dealership not irked over it! Wayne had the invoice in hand for me to inspect -- there was no push back, no mentions of "we're not making anything on this - NEVER ONCE during the deal or going over everything was there a push to get me to buy -- NOT ONCE -- . - Wayne worked hard to find any and all rebates available to use towards the purchase, asked questions and searched tons of databases looking for ways to allow for more rebates. - Wayne was absolutely fantastic with my elderly grandmother, seriously give this man a raise - Art came and checked a few times on things and was highly knowledgeable on a lot of different questions I asked - Financing dept was a breeze, Dave was super laid back, none of those sneaky pete attempts to pad the financing -- I had to ask for gap insurance, nothing was assumed auto add-on, only what I wanted I've purchased about ten cars in twenty years at dealerships, I kick myself that I didn't find this dealership sooner. I was looking for a new inexpensive vehicle (sub compact) to run around town instead of using my new fully optioned out double cab pickup truck, which at times is large to maneuver thru lots, and drive thru's, local driving errands. I did not have a car to trade in. But buying a 2nd new vehicle within a few months, I had to keep the payments as low as possible, and options was not a priority. I mean who wants to beat up a 50k+ vehicle around town for short distances, getting dings, shopping cart scratches, and many extremely tight drive thru's, etc. We prefer it for long family trips. So I began my search, made calls, email inquiries, etc. Many new car dealers advertise and show MSRP with discounts, but those discounts have that little "*". Well we know what that that means! Big bundled discounts, that you don't qualify for. Other dealers, refuse to give you a price over the phone or emails, and want you to come in for the snow job, so honestly I am not even going to waste my time to visit them. I did with some, to find that out. Then they wonder why you get up and walk out, like we did with some. Some ads, say make an offer and no offer will be refused. Even though I made reasonable offices, they never entertain or respond to your offer, and actually call you, and when you ask about your offer, they actually lie and state they didn't receive one. Well then how did you get my number to call me on a specific model. It's all in the same request. And of course, the hidden cost, and the mandatory dealer add ons (remember the "*"). So now to Flammer Ford of Spring Hill. I've seen their web site, seen several cars with real rebates, (MSRP - Rebates = Final Sale Price). Hmm, so i submitted an online request, with a quick note, requesting any hidden costs, and dealer fees. (Remember the *, some other dealer fees I'v seen are 699, 799, up to in excess of $1099). Flammer is such more reasonable. Flammer called me, left a message, and I then called them back and spoke to the salesperson. I explained my requirement, regarding the online vehicle, I seen and asked for a final ball park price. Well (Art) the salesman, actually quoted me a price on the phone and said for this car out the door would (and provided me an amount). I mentioned that I would be visiting within the hour, for a test drive. He showed me several (same priced cars) in various colors for our selection choice, re-reviewed the numbers quoted over the phone in person, and went for a test drive. Well to much of our surprise, the quoted phone price, and the final out the door price was almost 50.00 less. Wow, no snow job here. I found their advertising to be true to the point. Not bundled with many discounts like other dealers, for discounts you would not qualify for. Thanks, Art, & Russ for the smooth transaction. I wanted to sell my 2018 Toyota Rav 4. I decided to get quotes from three dealers and go with the best quote. Flammer was less than enthusiastic about providing a price. They kept asking "well what do you want for it". I explained that what I wanted was their best price, and I thought they were the pros that knew what the car was worth '. I have no idea what my car is worth to a dealer, so I did not have a set amount in mind, I just wanted to get the best price. Of the 3 dealers, Flammer was almost a 1/3 lower than the other dealers. And rude to boot. I was pretty surprised, as we had bought my wife's Mustang from Flammer in Tarpon, and had a great experience. A friend told me the 2 Flammers are completely separate, and not on good terms with each other. I believe that must be true. Any Ford dealings I have in the future will be with any dealer in Florida other than Flammer. Car dealers have a poor reputation, and this type of treatment is why. I felt like they were hoping to "steal" my car for far less than it was worth, hoping that I did not realize its value. If you want to be ripped off, by all means, spend your money there. read more

They continue to text my work cell phone about recalls. I don't have any recalls pending. They did this before and I made a huge stink and they told me they would never do it again. Just woke me up at 8:30 after working 15 hours. I did not buy my vehicle from them. Was only service there one time ever. The one time I had my truck worked on they did a recall that was very iffy I did not ask for. Many people have had trouble with the cam phaser reprogramming and I was about to go on a trip. Did not need the problems. Was running great. I never approved it. The service manager lied to me and said it was a safety issue. That's a flat out lie. I called him a liar. Will not be back for multiple reasons. The text message was the icing on the cake for sure. read more

Review Everyone was helpful and facilities are quite nice. One service was performed that was not requested but I was not required to pay for the service. It was my understanding that the car would be washed each time it was brought in for service. Maybe I misunderstood but this was not done. This is the first time I had my 2015 Ford Escape in for service. I had the oil changed and two recalls were performed while the car was in for its first check up. It took 27 days for them to re- repair a F350 of mine. I got several different stories of why it was taking so long. When they got it done, I find their test drives have consumed 25 gallons of my fuel, leaving the Low Fuel Light illuminated. The after market radio I installed, and was working prior to service was dead as well. If that isn't bad enough the mechanic gave me attitude because I expected the job to be done right. The service advisor stood there like a statue as the mechanic and I argued. I filled up the fuel tank and found the radio fuse to be blown (which I replaced). Steer clear if you want your vehicle repaired correctly and in a timely manner. read more

We purchased a 2017 Fusion in November 2017 from Flammer. Take it in religiously and even when it was new they always seemed to find some issue that needed to be fixed. I took it in on 4/8/19 for an alignment. Waited 2 hours for it. When it was ready Todd seemed to have a couple other things that he said would need to be looked at. I told him we would schedule when I schedule my next oil change. I go out to my car and start to drive away and it is pulling really bad to the right. I pull out to 19 and head south and the car continued pulling so I turned around and took it right back. Todd had me talk to Sparky the Service Manager. This man blatantly called me a liar when I told him I felt they didn't do any work, and charged me anyway. He said, "well you don't check an alignment by taking your hands off the wheel while your driving." I told him I wouldn't dare to attempt it, as it pulled so horribly WITH my hands on the wheel. He said well the paperwork shows that it was done, it's probably just the road. The road?!? So he is telling me that every road in Spring Hill is causing my car to pull to the right? I told him at that point that I wanted my money back. He insisted on having them fix the problem. I told him, they obviously haven't done anything and I don't want them touching my vehicle anymore. He finally gave my money back. I took it to another dealer the next day and they told me that the back end alignment was way off! They said it was really bad considering I just had 4 new tires on the Friday prior. Just last week 6/19/19, my battery died in the same car. I got it restarted and took it to my new dealership to see what was going on. They put it on the machines to narrow everything down to low voltage from the battery. Now I find out that the battery isn't the correct battery for the Fusion. Someone at Flammer Ford swapped out the original battery with an incorrect one. Flammer Ford also never recorded it in the computer for the records. Who knows which time this happened when I took it in. This could explain why my brand new car always had something that needed to be repaired, what else have they swapped off my car? This could also explain why Todd at Flammer NEVER gives me any of the diagnostic reports. My new dealership does! They even include the mechanics name and license number. Flammer NEVER has. I do not trust this shady group of people! I will never buy another car from Flammer Ford nor have them work on my vehicles again! read more

Two years ago I purchased a Ford Escape that was 2014 it had nearly 16,000 miles on it when I got it. It had paint missing from inside the handle which I didn't notice when I bought it but brought it back in a few days and they touched it up with not the same color paint. After a month of having it the battery casing cracked. I found this out when I brought it in for its first oil change. Russ the manager told me this was normal in Florida so I did my due diligence and researched this very much. Apparently it does not happen to all cars in Florida it only happens to Ford cars in Florida. Bill was my salesman I went in to buy a new vehicle and he talked me into buying a used vehicle told me I'd save about $10,000 in the long run it did not save me a penny but put me $8,000 in negative equity. Last week I traded it in at a different car dealer and bought a different vehicle all together and ended up with the negative 8000 equity added to my car payment total. Bill made a bundle off of me because I didn't know any better but I would like to help people not to get ripped off. Dave the finance manager pinged my credit report with 8 hard inquiries which is a high impact on your credit score. Needless to say I cannot recommend this Ford dealer at all I would recommend if you really want a Ford which I don't recommend you need to go to New Port Richey. read more

I am giving a one star for the service dept only. I have purchased 2 new vehicles from Flammer, Art Goldman, AKA Gunny was my last sales person. Excellent person to deal with. I have been dealing with Flammer since 2002 when we purchased a new Mustang from another dealer. We started having it serviced at Flammer due to proximity to our home with great results, HOWEVER, over the years the service dept has had a steady decline in trustworthy work . EXAMPLE...28 Aug 18 I had my 88 Jeep Wrangler there for the "Works Package", oil change and tire rotation. I had a 14.99 coupon also like I have done in the past for my F150 and 2011 Escape. When I picked up my Jeep I found that my tires were NOT rotated so I had to make another trip back for that. The next morning I discovered that my Brake Master Cylinder was near empty. It was pointed out to me that it was leaking and the service tech , Todd, showed me the "Report sheet" showing where it had been "Filled"...NOT...Damn near dry!! This is dangerous to the point of being criminal. I contacted Russ who is the GM/Owner and Sparky, the service manager both of who just kinda blew this off by offering me a free oil change. Russ actually made the statement that..."well you got Blended Synthetic" oil with that 14.99 price...WOW! In the past I had a problem with my F150 being over filled with oil. I only caught that because I was charged for an extra qt on my invoice. I have had other issues, but I will spare everyone those details for now. I had a great experience when purchasing 2 new vehicles...Service....Not so much! read more

I then called dealer where I purchased this vehicle and battery is covered and was more then helpful in replacing the battery for us. My wife's car transmission quit working in "drive" late on Friday so we swapped cars and I phoned Flammer. Mike in service department told me straight up they were swamped and we couldn't get an appointment until later in the week. I asked if they could run a quick diagnostic to find out whether it was TCM or something serious IF I was willing to tow it in Monday and wait for a break in their schedule to check it out. Yes, with that understanding. When I showed up Mike was busy and a different service writer was very pessimistic about prospects. Mike stepped in, backed up his promise, and I waited politely for hours. Mike and Ryan (the technician) didn't just work in the diagnostic between appointments, they had it back on the road by 3 pm! Ryan was VERY thorough explaining what was wrong, what he did to fix it, and what he recommended in addition to keep it working right. Nice people, very helpful attitude. read more
