A couple years ago I made the decision to return to vinyl as my primary source for music listening…read more While it was unfortunate I was starting from ground zero having lost my vinyl records from the 60's and 70's during one of my many moves, Chattanooga proved to be a fortuitous spot to resurrect this hobby having Yellow Records here in my neighborhood. While this is not an overly large store, they effectively maximize their space to offer a great variety of both new and used albums. The value proposition is frequently accentuated via the many sales events offered both on-line and at the store, throughout the year. You need help, advice, assistance in tracking down a hard to find record, Ben and his team are jolly on the spot, each and every time. Throughout the year Ben demonstrates over and over just how committed he is to our local community......can I give him six stars?

Calling all vinyl lovers! I highly recommend stopping in Yellow Jacket Records! Last weekend, my…read moreMom channeled my Dad's spirit by wanting to go to the Hixson location of Books A Million and wanting to check out Yellow Jacket Records. Books and music - my Dad's two favorite things. While at Yellow Jacket Records, Mom found a free record by Harry Chapin's brother, who she and Dad had met many years ago. I found a rare record that Michael Jackson and Mick Jagger collaborated on as well as a classic Joan Baez album. The store owner and staff were so nice and fun to talk too too! Adding this place to my monthly experience list.

AWESOME SERVICE !!…read more Oh and did I mention, Awesome Selection? The wife and I recently located here from the Northern part of the US. The day we arrived, the first thing I did was research local record shops and found 2 that were right on top of my list to visit, and this, my friends, is one of them. James and Keith are the bomb ! From the very first day I entered, they greeted and treated me like a customer, not a visitor. They attended to my needs and ensured that I was satisfied with my purchase, after my purchase, we stood around and talked about Music, sports and everything else that came up. it has been a while since I had this experience and I want to thank them both for making me feel right at home. These guys even held a new released CD for me, not even knowing if I would even come back in to buy it or not, but they did and for this, I thank them ever so very much. If your ever in the St. Pete area, or relocated from elsewhere, I highly advise you to stop in and take a peek at their inventory. Believe me, you wont regret it.

Based on previous posted pictures, inventory is drastically reduced. I was able to browse through and find two gems and a flyer. Overpriced based on used vinyl condition. Found a rare Rory Gallagher double live 1974 album. Checked the vinyl discs and they appeared barely playable, for about $30 I put it back. Was not worth the 40 minute ride and 10 minutes to figure out it wasnt a storefront, rather a booth. I wont be back.
