It was really a nice event. Fashion show, live music, food vendors and entrepreneurs selling their wares. The food & drinks were pretty good. I stumbled across a small pop up in the Livermore Outlets, and as usual walked away from some cute prospects. I'll stay awake at night thinking about how cute I could have looked in those dresses. But what I love about this store is that the pieces feel like good quality, and they carry a range of sizes (that easily fits these ever expanding curves and hips). And the possible owner of the store is GREAT with faces. She genuinely remembers guests who return. So if you want to be the belle of the ball without breaking the bank: go here and find an outfit that will stun. Trust me, the owner always looks like she's leaving a fashion shoot! She can help you through a look together from head to toe.

Employees regularly ask if I'm finding everything okay, the store is kept clean and organized, and the staff who help me when I pick up my altered pants have always been very nice. My only negative experience has been with one older Hispanic employee working the fitting rooms (im Hispanic myself). When I checked in, she asked how many items I had in a snappy tone and then simply pointed me toward a fitting room. On its own I probably wouldn't have thought much of it, but I noticed afterward that she personally carried the clothing to the fitting rooms for the other customers she assisted. I was confused and felt a bit unwelcome then. That said, everyone else I've encountered here has been pleasant, attentive, and helpful, and I've continued to have positive experiences shopping here and using their alteration service. And their clothes quality is the best for the price, selection is good too.

Worked out well for me: I got to hang out at the bar at Wood Tavern, and scored needed points for being the patient and supportive stand-up guy that I am. Here's her take on the store: I've walked by this store many times. I always paused or slowed down because of the great window displays but never walked in: I mean, do I need another pair of earrings? Turns out I do! I also needed very chic trousers a bit reminiscent of Katharine Hepburn that I can wear all year. I need as much help as I can get to reach my goal of casual elegance - still unattained but these things will get me closer, lol . I almost put them on to wear to dinner. Whoever does the buying has a great design sense. Great place to pick up gifts, too. The whole experience - ambience, lovely young woman who helped me, beautiful things I wouldn't find on Amazon - was such a nice boost that I felt moved to bother to write a review! And because I overlooked the shop, I thought I'd point it out to others. It reminded me that shopping IRL is usually way more fun and effective for clothes and gifts, and that I'm relieved that retail and Oakland are not dead. I found a book I was first introduced to via social media and when I had recognized it on their shelf, I knew it was meant to find me.
