His shaving is very aggressive - I didn't know you could get that much hair off a dog! - but it's what we asked him to do, albeit to a more extreme degree than many places do. I don't know if he also excels at more subtle cuts. But a very friendly and easy to work with guy if your dog needs a summer shave!

Was told mid -haircut that he was too matted and that they' had to cut his hair shorter than agreed upon. I would have appreciated if they would have called to ask if that was something I was okay with before proceeding to cut him shorter. My groomer asked if he was matted when we first arrived, we told him no and he felt around Hercules' coat but did not let us know if he was matted. Will not be going back.

I cannot praise Stephanie enough. This was my first time bringing my golden retriever Oona and I…read morewas a little nervous at first because she's my baby. From the moment I walked in, Stephanie greeted Oona as if she'd known her forever. I believe dogs can truly feel a person's energy and my dog immediately went to her with no hesitation. The salon was extremely clean and actually smelled good surprisingly. Steph explained to me the cut she thought would be best and we went with her recommendation. When I came back and saw Oona, she looked beautiful! I loved the cut. They mentioned to me that my baby had diarrhea and was vomiting throughout the visit , but I was extremely grateful that instead of being annoyed or shaming her, they genuinely cared about her and showed concern. Thankfully that all went away by the next day, and the vet thinks it was just nerves. Once again, this place was just wonderful from beginning to end. Steph is an all star! If you're thinking about bringing your fur baby here, do it! You truly won't regret it.

Jess at Best Friends Pet Grooming Salon is nothing short of MAGIC. I don't use that word lightly --…read morewhat she did for my Frenchie, Louie, honestly blew me away. Nail trims have always been a huge issue for us, especially at the vet. They would leave his nails too long, and over time the quick kept growing out, turning his nails into literal bear claws. It got to the point where I didn't think we'd ever get them back to a normal, healthy length. I originally found Jess for my labradoodle Mabel and just happen to ask her about my Louie's nails . Not only did she trim his nails as short as safely possible, she did it with incredible gentleness and patience. Louie was calm, comfortable, and completely at ease -- which NEVER happens. But what truly sets Jess apart is her knowledge and care. She's actively working on helping the vein recede over time so his nails can return to a normal length instead of those "eagle talons." Who even does that?! That level of attention, skill, and dedication is so rare. Jess doesn't just groom -- she genuinely cares about your dog's long-term health and comfort. I'm beyond grateful we found her. If you have a dog with difficult nails or any grooming challenges, Jess is the one. Truly one of a kind.

I was asked my dogs weight, I told her what I wanted done and was quoted $120.00. Today I dropped off and when I picked my dog up, the charge was $160.00 plus tax. I very politely said that she had quoted me $120.00 and she opened her book and said well, that wasn't for a full groom and that price wasn't $120. Well, I have their business card with $120 written in it. I didn't want to argue so I paid but I won't be back. Just make sure you double check the price before you take your dog to be groomed here. I went here because they use to groom both of my other dogs and I never had any problems. Too bad as my pup looks fantastic but not an unexpected $40 fantastic.
