Very disappointed with Paws Only Mobile Groomer. I scheduled a follow-up (second) service and was quoted $45-$65 per dog. Since my dogs were on maintenance and not out of control, I was under the clear impression the total would be no more than $130 for both dogs. Instead, I was shocked to be charged $230, which was more than the first visit, and made absolutely no sense. To make matters worse, my larger dog's toenails were not even cut, which is part of a basic grooming service. When I reached out a couple of days later to question the charge and request the nail trim, I was given multiple excuses. One of them was that if she cut his nails, she would make him bleed, which was extremely concerning to hear from a professional groomer. When she eventually came back, the explanations for the higher charge kept changing -- first saying my dog wouldn't sit still, then that he's bigger, and lastly claiming he peed on the table. None of this justifies the sudden and unexplained price increase. This experience felt unprofessional, inconsistent, and unfair. Pricing should be transparent, not made up after the fact with excuses. Overall, this was very disappointing, and I will not be using or recommending this groomer again. read more

I have 2 small short hair dogs, both about 20 pounds, ages 8 & 9, not too many tangles... I requested a simple bath and trim .. only needed to cut 1/2 inch off both dogs... No special additionsl services were requested or provided. Standard oatmeal shampoo , no aroma therapy oils given. Basic. I also provided water and electricity to her van that parked in my driveway. I was charged $240, that's $120 for each dog, for a basic bath & trim... because she had to "use scissors and one dog was squirmy". however she charged me $240 total , $120 each dog, but only one was moving around a lot? Hmmm.. "She found one flea" I was told the price was $120 each because she took ( longer than normal ) 3 hours to do 2 dogs ( typical time with my other store groomers who charge $70 per dog). I expected to pay more than the store groomer but did not expect to be charged almost double... Beware: If she uses scissors or if she takes her time with your dog... you will be paying EXTRA . read more

I have two 70 lb dogs and a 17 lb dog. I book in advance and plan ahead and am always happy with the job that Elise does. She keeps great notes about each visit and what she used on each dog. For those who say that she can't be booked, she IS busy and responds to every text, it just may not be instantaneous. Couldn't be happier! My Maltese/Bichon mix got an awesome shampoo and trim, and Elisa did exactly what I asked her to do. Two other groomers shaved my boys nose after I specifically asked them to leave it alone. I explained to Elisa my experience and she was excellent. If I had one issue, and this isn't really even an issue, Elisa is in very high demand and is a lot of the time booked up for weeks at a time. We had our 13 year old Border Mix professionally groomed today by For Paws Only. We normally groom our dogs ourselves, but Maya, for lack of a better description, is and Ewok on steroids. Her hair takes hours to dry much let alone wash. Elisa spent easily three hours washing, drying, brushing and trimming Maya. The result was astounding. I doubt the time taken is typical, most dogs dont have nearly as much hair. Elisa charged a reasonable overage for dealing with the extra work involved, but the cost was sensible. I hesitated before calling this place because I'm new to the area and was reluctant to try somewhere new for my goldendoodle. He has long hair and it was so matted in places, and of course, I waited until the last minute to get him groomed. I was so afraid the groomer would shave him down and I did not want that. I yelped several places in the South Bay and finally called here because I liked the idea of a mobile groomer (so convenient!). Elisa was awesome!! She was on time and did a fantastic job with my dog. She cut out his dreads and left what she could long. She even blended his hair so it wouldn't look patchy, and it really worked. I was so impressed and cannot believe I lucked out and found a great replacement for my groomer in Pasadena on the first try. I recommend you try her out. She was cheaper than the groomer I use in Pasadena, and that place doesn't do mobile pet grooming. Hopefully, this review will help the next person who finds themselves looking for a good groomer. I was greatly disappointed with Elise. My dogs had a few mats, and she just butchered both of them. I've been grooming my dogs since I first got them at three months old, and have never had a groomer butcher their coats like she did. She didn't butcher them both at the same time, they were on two different occassions. It seemed like she was lazy and just decided to shave them...they looked like rats! I was really shocked, especially since she seemed so nice and took so much time to groom them. And I mean a LONG time. That was also an issue. When I first met her, I asked her to watch how she was going to work on my dog. She was so nice to let me stay with my dog and gave me some advices for treatment( I later heard one of my friends that some groomers don't like it because dogs usually won't sit still when they see their owners during grooming, and I felt bad asking her such a favor.) Not only her personality, but also I like her way to maintenance her toots. She sterilizes her tools, bathtub, and table every time in use for avoiding infections.
