It's now eight years later and I'm onto four new permanent dogs. I have a mastiff and three Chihuahuas and the work that Elise does is still fabulous! She is efficient, conscientious, and very fairly priced... Again - for those who say that she seems to be too busy you have to be patient. I am on her books every three months without fail. read more

Very disappointed with Paws Only Mobile Groomer. I scheduled a follow-up (second) service and was quoted $45-$65 per dog. Since my dogs were on maintenance and not out of control, I was under the clear impression the total would be no more than $130 for both dogs. Instead, I was shocked to be charged $230, which was more than the first visit, and made absolutely no sense. To make matters worse, my larger dog's toenails were not even cut, which is part of a basic grooming service. When I reached out a couple of days later to question the charge and request the nail trim, I was given multiple excuses. One of them was that if she cut his nails, she would make him bleed, which was extremely concerning to hear from a professional groomer. When she eventually came back, the explanations for the higher charge kept changing -- first saying my dog wouldn't sit still, then that he's bigger, and lastly claiming he peed on the table. None of this justifies the sudden and unexplained price increase. This experience felt unprofessional, inconsistent, and unfair. Pricing should be transparent, not made up after the fact with excuses. Overall, this was very disappointing, and I will not be using or recommending this groomer again. read more

I have 2 small short hair dogs, both about 20 pounds, ages 8 & 9, not too many tangles... I requested a simple bath and trim .. only needed to cut 1/2 inch off both dogs... No special additionsl services were requested or provided. Standard oatmeal shampoo , no aroma therapy oils given. Basic. I also provided water and electricity to her van that parked in my driveway. I was charged $240, that's $120 for each dog, for a basic bath & trim... because she had to "use scissors and one dog was squirmy". however she charged me $240 total , $120 each dog, but only one was moving around a lot? Hmmm.. "She found one flea" I was told the price was $120 each because she took ( longer than normal ) 3 hours to do 2 dogs ( typical time with my other store groomers who charge $70 per dog). I expected to pay more than the store groomer but did not expect to be charged almost double... Beware: If she uses scissors or if she takes her time with your dog... you will be paying EXTRA . read more

Great communication. Elisa texts. Reasonable prices. Excellent cut. Convenient because the van comes to your house. Takes cash and checks. Venmo would be more convenient though. Would definitely use again. read more

Elisa did such a great job with our dogs. We have a Chihuahua and a Shih Tzu. I just got them groomed today with her mobile pet grooming service. She did the following to our dogs: *Bath - 1st with PH Balanced Shampoo, 2nd with Aloe Vera & Vitamin V5.E shampoo *Ear clean *Trimmed the Shih Tzu's hair - he looks amazing! *Nail Trim *Anal Gland She took her time with both our dogs. They came out smelling good, clean, and their hair is so soft to touch! I had called to make an appointment to see if she can come groom my dogs the same day. The earliest she said she could do it is Monday, at 5 pm. So I made the appointment for Monday and was kind of a little bummed since I wanted to get the dogs groomed today. But an hour later, she called back and said someone canceled on her and she was available to come in 10 minutes. I was like great!!! That's pretty good service for a first time customer like me! The price is very reasonable too, especially since she comes to you to groom your dog. Very convenient and you don't have to worry about getting your dog sick since there are no other dogs around your pet. I highly recommend For Paws Only's mobile grooming service. I have found my go to pet groomer :) read more

Elisa does awesome work. She puts a lot of time into the process and gets fantastic results. What's more, Waffles loves her! Great advantage having the work done in your driveway as opposed to leaving your dog in a strip mall someplace. As others have said, Elisa works with your schedule and is kind, courteous and professional. read more

Great service! I wasn't sure about mobile pet service before, but Elisa made sure our Golden Retriever is well taken care of. Not only that she took her time in doing everything but she is very meticulous with the service. Made me and my family at ease ! I am now scheduling our second appointment for our next grooming service! Highly recommended! Doesn't matter if she's by herself, it's the output that matters :) read more

For Paws Only provides friendly, low cost, and great services. My dog (Maltese) can be a handful and a bit snappy but in no time Elisa was able to interact with my poochie without a problem. Elisa took her time washing my dog and my dog looked amazing. Highly recommended and will continue to use her services. Flexible scheduling, great prices, available via cell phone and text, and arrives on time. read more

Don't bother contacting her. Its run by one person, who is booked up for two months in advance. You would think that by having that much work and demand, you'd consider expanding your company, apparently that is not the case. I've tried twice giving For Paws Only a chance, once before Christmas and now, and I've gotten the same response. So I'm not contacting them again. read more

My dogs name is Daisy and she loves Elisa. Elisa always does an awesome job with my yorkie and is super professional about everything. I know I can trust her with anything she does because she makes sure that, not only I, but Daisy is happy, too. I'm usually very picky about what services I use but Elisa has been coming to my home now for many years, so I thought it was finally time to write her a review. I definitely recommend her services to everyone. 5/5 stars! read more

Couldn't be happier! My Maltese/Bichon mix got an awesome shampoo and trim, and Elisa did exactly what I asked her to do. Two other groomers shaved my boys nose after I specifically asked them to leave it alone. I explained to Elisa my experience and she was excellent. If I had one issue, and this isn't really even an issue, Elisa is in very high demand and is a lot of the time booked up for weeks at a time. That said, I'd rather wait for her, who clearly cares about the animals she grooms, than go to the other guys who funnel dogs in with no real care. Highly recommended! read more

I am so happy to find For Paws only. Elisa did very good job for my dog. My dog has skin trouble. I tried to take my dog to pet salon and other mobile grooming before. I feel they are using cheap shampoo. But For Paws Only used good quality shampoo for my dog. I am going to call For Paws Only every 3weeks for my dog. Thank you very much read more

We had our 13 year old Border Mix professionally groomed today by For Paws Only. We normally groom our dogs ourselves, but Maya, for lack of a better description, is and Ewok on steroids. Her hair takes hours to dry much let alone wash. Elisa spent easily three hours washing, drying, brushing and trimming Maya. The result was astounding. I doubt the time taken is typical, most dogs dont have nearly as much hair. Elisa charged a reasonable overage for dealing with the extra work involved, but the cost was sensible. I highly recommend this group for mobile dog grooming. read more

This post is long overdue. Elisa has been grooming our yorkie and yorkinese for the past 2 years. We could not be more grateful to have her services. I found her on Yelp and felt compelled to put in a 5 star review to compliment her already stellar track record. She does a fantastic job, is always prompt with her schedule, and takes extensive notes documenting prior requests and past grooming appointments. For Paws Only is only Elisa. I like having the consistency of the same groomer. We consider ourselves fortunate to be on her regular schedule and highly encourage dog owners looking for a new groomer to be patient and try her out if you can get an appointment. She is amazing! read more

I recently moved into a new place with hardwood floors and I got tired of having to sweep up my Lab's pet hair from shedding up to three times a day. I'd never taken my dog to a groomer so I wasn't sure what to expect. I took to yelp and found For Paws Only. Elisa came to my place and took care of my lab mix. My girl looked like a brand new dog! I was so impressed I asked Elisa to take care of my APBT's nails, which she happily agreed to. I highly recommend using FPO for your grooming needs. read more

I hesitated before calling this place because I'm new to the area and was reluctant to try somewhere new for my goldendoodle. He has long hair and it was so matted in places, and of course, I waited until the last minute to get him groomed. I was so afraid the groomer would shave him down and I did not want that. I yelped several places in the South Bay and finally called here because I liked the idea of a mobile groomer (so convenient!). Elisa was awesome!! She was on time and did a fantastic job with my dog. She cut out his dreads and left what she could long. She even blended his hair so it wouldn't look patchy, and it really worked. I was so impressed and cannot believe I lucked out and found a great replacement for my groomer in Pasadena on the first try. I recommend you try her out. She was cheaper than the groomer I use in Pasadena, and that place doesn't do mobile pet grooming. Hopefully, this review will help the next person who finds themselves looking for a good groomer. I know how important it is when you have a high maintenance dog! Loved Elisa's work!! read more

8/29/2012 So happy to finally meet Elisa in person. Thanks again for taking care of our little Misty. She looks so clean and fluffy and smells great too. I can tell from Misty's smile that she feels all fresh and clean too. My Mom again affirms how great Misty's grooming/hygiene is. Highly recommended!!! : ) read more

Our little hairy baby, Sophie, is old and has been our little love muffin for over 12 years. She is need TLC since she cannot hear or see. Elisa is so caring and kind with Sophie and understands that she needs special treatment. She even gave her a massage. I recommend her service for all dogs but particularly if you have an older dog that needs a gentle and caring touch. read more

For Paws is the Best!!! Elisa gave my pup the best cut she has ever had!!She had matts around her neck and near her tush and she got them all out without having to shave her down. Everything I discussed with her she did better than I tried to explain. Elisa is super patient. And truly knows what she is doing. Our pup looked so happy when she was done. Not stressed out like she usually does when she comes home from the groomers. I'm so glad I found Elisa!!! I will never go anywhere else. read more

Absolutely wonderful service! I called after hours, was contacted back same day with a quote and service description. I booked the next available which was two days later :). Our boys are 6mo old. The German Shepard is fine but the Husky is a drama king so I didn't want to leave him at the groomers. We thought For Paws Only was such a score! Having professional grooming done privately at home was 100% convenient, give your schedule a break and treat yourself to Elisa :) my boys were smelling so fresh looking soft, fluffy and adorable with their little trim. The price was GREAT! For both pups it took about 2-3 hours and we were able to cook and work on homework while they became sparkly like :) Lovely lady, lovely service! We're hooked. read more

Elisa is amazing!!! She took care of my Pom and gave me a list of what she did. Very organized, thorough, and super sweet. I love her Dog Mobile and could see that she keeps it in very good condition. Will definitely be using her as my groomer from here on. At the end, I knew my dog enjoyed it too since he would jump back on the stairs of the van and didn't try to run away. Thanks, Elisa!!! read more

Elisa has been caring for our two Labradors for the last two years and she does an excellent job! Our older dog has a difficult time standing now and she is always attentive and gentle to his needs. Both of our dogs always come out smelling wonderful and having beautiful coats. Her equipment is clean and she is always friendly when she arrives. Our dogs see spending time with her as a treat. We will continue to use her for our dogs and highly recommend services to everyone! read more

My dogs (2 labs) got their first professional grooms today. They were so dirty...I forgot what color their fur was...j/k. Their favorite thing to do is roll around in the dirt. What a great job! We just moved here from NY and were looking for a new groomer for our shih tzu. We figured we would give a mobile groomer out for the convenience of it all. Will definitely be back again. read more

i had the same experience as Kory. I called days ago and have yet to get a return phone call.

I was greatly disappointed with Elise. My dogs had a few mats, and she just butchered both of them. I've been grooming my dogs since I first got them at three months old, and have never had a groomer butcher their coats like she did. She didn't butcher them both at the same time, they were on two different occassions. It seemed like she was lazy and just decided to shave them...they looked like rats! I was really shocked, especially since she seemed so nice and took so much time to groom them. And I mean a LONG time. That was also an issue. To groom my two maltese/bichon frise pups she took nearly 4 hours! read more

I started to use For Paw Only about 6 moth ago, and Elisa comes us every three weeks since then. I has been very happy with her job each time. When I first met her, I asked her to watch how she was going to work on my dog. She was so nice to let me stay with my dog and gave me some advices for treatment( I later heard one of my friends that some groomers don't like it because dogs usually won't sit still when they see their owners during grooming, and I felt bad asking her such a favor.) Not only her personality, but also I like her way to maintenance her toots. She sterilizes her tools, bathtub, and table every time in use for avoiding infections. Also, the products she's using are all vet-recommended, good qualified ones. I strongly recommend For Paw Only! I always schedule the next appointment in advance when Elisa comes. read more
