In short, the appointment was for our 18-year-old daughter. She has had severe symptoms uncharacteristic for someone her age: insomnia, migraines, fatigue, chronic pain throughout her body and more. A good physician knows how to make a patient feel as though they are being cared for, that their concerns are valid, and that they are being heard. Dr. Lavery took the time to listen to her concerns, look over her medical history, asked a lot of questions and had several ideas on how to troubleshoot the situation. Dr. Lavery was more than willing to work to figure out what is going on with her. Rather than rushing into diagnosis too quickly, he assured her that he had a process in place and once he received all of the data he needed, he would talk to her about a diagnosis. Dr. Lavery up to this point has been vigilant about following up on tests and communicated those results through a portal he offers his clients. Our daughter is empowered to talk to him any time of the day and he responds quickly. Having access to your doctor like this is remarkable! Thus far he has become a strong advocate for our daughter.
