They are beautiful, they last, the staff is friendly and efficient--it gives you that holiday vibe with modern conveniences (just a notch under going out into a snow covered forest and chopping down a tree yourself). We have seen the prices increase over the years (to be expected) but appreciate they provide such a lovely variety at different price points. We stay in the red tag zone and have never been disappointed. You can tell that they are very conscious about the trees they sell and maintaining decent pricing. We walked around testing branches and looking for our "perfect" tree and found one we loved. We brought it over to the check out area and they trimmed the end for us and after we paid loaded it on our car for us too. This spot accepts cash or checks and after tax it was $80 for us this year. Don't forget to tip the person who ties your tree to the car as well. We have our tree up now and it smells great, the branches are sturdy and it looks amazing with all our ornaments hanging on it. We'll definitely be making this spot part of our holiday traditions.

This place is so cute-I haven't been to a ton of nurseries as I've generally picked up my cactus plants at random spots like a midtown market or a Trader Joe's or as gifts from people but I will say this was one of the cuter nurseries I've been to. When we arrived I walked around a bit to check out what they had to offer-what was in season and wondering where the cactus plants were. I liked this little sign they had in the middle of their nursery which advised everyone what was in season and what should be planted at this time of year-for a newbie green thumb person like myself-information like that is very helpful. After walking around a bit I decided on the cutest little cactus to add to my collection at home and it cost me $7.99,so cheap and my daughter decided to get a snow peas plant($7.49). In closing-if you ever find yourself in the Oak Park area and want to check out the cutest little nursery-I would 100% recommend The Plant Foundry for all your gardening needs-they have a really awesome business running out there-I like em and will be back.

But to find someone in the store to help you is like a treasure hunt. I finally found a man in the hardware area, but as soon as I walked up to him, his phone ring and somebody was talking to him and he just turned us back to me and walked away. So I had to chase him so when he got off the phone, I could ask more to find rubber stoppers. He took me there. It was not a very happy man. The garden section was completely empty also but we did end up finding the soil test kits and two bags of mulch. I don't know what happened if somebody bought them all out or what. Of course, then you have to go all the way back to the middle to pay. I don't know, this whole store gives off a vibe of nobody gives a tootle about whether you're there or not.
