We have had such a wonderful experience with Foothill Christian Preschool! Both of our kids have attended the school, and we truly couldn't be happier with the experience. Our oldest is now going into first grade, and we honestly feel that Foothill prepared him so well for kindergarten. He went into kindergarten confident and ready because of the skills and foundation he built during his time there. Our youngest is still attending Foothill and continues to have such a positive experience. The teachers are incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely invested in teaching the kids skills that will help them not only now, but throughout their future school years. The classrooms are decorated to the nines, and there is so much thought and care put into creating a fun, welcoming environment for the children. Foothill Christian Preschool has been such an amazing experience for our family. Our son started two years ago, which gave us the opportunity to really get to know and trust the teachers. That made it so much easier when it was time to send our daughter who was born prematurely to school at only 18 months old while she is still learning to communicate. She started just two months ago and has fit in so well. Seeing her run into school excited, wave hello & goodbye, and be so genuinely happy reassures us that we made the right choice. The love, patience, and care the teachers show our children mean more to us than they probably realize. Our family has been with this preschool for only one school year but it made such a difference in ours boy's lives. They grew so much spiritually, emotionally, and academically. Truly, the teachers our boys had, along with any assistants they ever ran into, were so kind and nurturing. We cannot thank everyone enough on this campus for all they do and how much love they have for our children. Another thing we appreciated from Foothill Christian preschool was the the visible cleanliness and structured activities. Visible cleanliness was very important to us because our kids were spending so much time here and we wanted them to feel comfortable and be in a sanitary environment. The structured activities the kids participated in were a huge perk of this facility as well because it demonstrated that although some kids are very young, time is not being wasted and very much thought and planning is being incorporated into every activity the children complete. Mrs. Carmen is the BEST teacher! My daughter was so blessed to have her for TK. She was so kind, nurturing, and thoughtful. She always had the sweetest laminated crafts prepared. Our time here was so incredibly special - the foundation they have given to her to be able to continue on her educational journey is top notch. I highly recommend this preschool. Having toured almost every preschool in Glendora, I found that this one has the biggest, cleanest playground. Since the children play outside every day, it was important to me that my child would never get bored outdoors. The school is cute, the playground is awesome but this review is really for Room A teachers Roxana & Yvette. These two women do so much for the kids! My daughter was very under socialized due to growing up in a different state away from all our friends and family so we were very worried about how staring preschool would go. She expectedly cried for a few weeks but has since really enjoyed going! They've shown so much kindness and patience with her and are genuinely care about bringing her out of her shell. I always call Ms Roxana Miss Honey because her demeanor and the kids all crowd her in the mornings. Ms Yvette always takes the time to set up fun crafts for the kids and has even done her hair when she notices it becomes undone! We visited so many preschools/daycare and when I finally found Foothill Christian, I knew this was it! We love the God centered teaching and lessons but that's just the tip of the iceburg. We have 3 littles that are attending/attended FHC and we've had the best experience. The staff and teachers are AMAZING. Your kid is not just another kid here, the staff (not just their classroom teacher) know them and love them. It's a safe and loving environment and the teachers and staff go above and beyond. There are very few people/places I trust to care for my babies (their eczema/severe allergies) and as a full time working parent I'm just so thankful I've found people that care for my kids the way the staff and teachers at FHC do and that is priceless. read more

My experience with this school has been very different. First and foremost the school is beautiful and the principal is such a beautiful soul so was Nora front desk , however my son was there one day and I received an email saying he had a rough morning adjusting, however the afternoon was better. The next day I get a call to come pick up my child that he had kicked the teacher. (My son just started soccer at the school yesterday. I'm not sure why this happened(again not excusing bad behavior, however, I was told that the teacher was crying and needed help to get her self together, already im sorry that this happened and my child was the reason the pre school teacher was distraught I'm not sure if this happens often where the staff is not aware that 2 and 3 year olds are still learning to deal with emotions and feelings child education should really teach pre school staff to learn how to properly handle situations, I was upset that I had just bought everything that they asked for and on top of that all the documents were turned in. To top it off I was out of pre school for my son and put me in jeopardy of losing my job, I was not sure this situation was handled properly, however from what I read on the reviews it seems like this happens often. I was told that we can come back maybe summer when my son is more mature since they don't know how to solve a tantrum of a 3 year old. Anyway I just wanted to make sure that if you are a parent and your child is active and or is not ready meaning if they can't regulate their emotions or don't know how, this school does not have the resources to help them or you navigate the situation. This made me think of how the schools really need more funding towards understanding how kids really work and to actually help them instead of kicking them to the curb after 1 1/2 day. As a parent you really need to understand and ask questions about how they handle situations specially if you are trusting your children to stay with them for 8-10 hours a day. I also just saw that the school has 2 citations for teachers hitting the students??? Okay maybe my 3 year old was defending himself. read more

You are just a paycheck, and once its time for enrollment into Kindergarten, they make it clear. Priority enrollment was never open for TK to Kindergarten for students who already attend the preschool. My daughter has been at the school for 2.5 years now, and I didn't think I would be someone who was scrambling to find a school for my daughter to attend Kindergarten. They do not prioritize you if you are alredy a astudent their. If you currently are paying the tuition for your child to attend this school, make sure you go to their "Kindergarten readyness night". The people who go to that event have priority over anyone else at the school to enroll into Kindergarten. So if you can't go due to work, pre-existing committments, etc, you better find a way to cancel them or call of work to make sure you show up to that night, or your child will not get a spot in Kindergarten. It is a single night event. The sad part is, the staff does not tell you that this is a required event to attend to gain a spot in the Kindergarten class. They do not make the event mandatory, even though it is. So if you think you dont have to call off work to attend, think again, and I would make sure you do everything you can to attend that Kindergarten readyness night if you want your child to attend Kindergarten at Foothill Christian School. Overall, after 2.5 years of trusting this school, for them to go and do that is just unfair and not right. There is a better way to go about handling the influx of students wishing to attend the school, and non-transparent trick methods are not the way especially coming from a "Christian" school. 3/6/2024 Response: After speaking to several parents and even a staff member, it was brought to my attention that kindergarten enrollment paperwork was filled out on "Kindergarten readiness night", and those children are in fact the children who will maintain priority over all other children currently attending the preschool. Once again, non-transparent and unethical. There should be a raffle, as that is the only real fair way and is what numerous other schools do. Constantly, my child was asked to get picked up only two hours after being dropped off due to behavioral issues. We switched to another school, and surprisingly, with the help from the teachers, my child learned to adapt to a group environment within a month and has been doing exceptionally well. read more

My two children attended FCP in Glendora for a total of about 3 years and I loved it so much that my niece and nephews also attended, and a couple still do until they're of kinder age. Being a parent in that school for several years I have seen nothing but compassion from it's teachers and staff. They're a technology-friendly school while not completely relying on tech (which I like) and the curriculum prepared my kids very well for kindergarten! They're now in 2nd and 4th grade rating well above their grade levels in both reading and math. They're also both in religious education at our church preparing for their First Communion and, although the youngest in the class, their teacher constantly commends my daughter on her religious knowledge and excitement to participate. I couldn't recommend Foothill Christian Preschool in Glendora more for the great foundation they set for my kids in all aspects of education. read more

My two daughters ( 2018 & 2020) attended FCP @RTE 66. My oldest daughter was able to complete her years @ Pre-K., however my other daughter was only able to attend 1yr due to financial difficulties. Even though my daughter was only there for a year, she learned so much. She was very sad to had not to be able to return to FCP, but A spiritual and academically seed was planted. On her 1st day of public school, it was recognized she had come prepared for school. Thanks to the staff @ FCP, even though my youngest daughter didn't get the full experience due to Covid the staff made sure she learned and every quarter a academic report was provided. I totally Recommend Ms Kat! Shes a fun, energetic loving teacher. She created a journal for all the kids of their work they all did through the year. It's was an awesome, beautiful detail work she created with the kids. My daughters were treated with love, respect! I honestly felt safe leaving my daughters and communication was excellent though brightwheel. I miss the school and the staff. It's sad that Ms. Vicky is acting like this is based on one conversation when she knows this is based on the 1 month my child was in attendance at her school. She also acts like this is the first time she's seeing it when I sent her a message with much of this post included prior to her reading this post. This just shows the deception and games they play. What I find sad is she cares more about what is said about the school on Yelp then actually helping and educating children. She play la this role of caring and loving, but I have seen the looks she gave my child when he walked in the door crying because in 30 days not one adult could build rapport with him. Instead of trying improve their self or learning about a child, they would rather just say it's the wrong setting. Had my 3 year old here, took him out before year was over. The campus is beautiful, and that is what made us pick them over other schools. But... they over promise a lot! They promise academics with your kid but in all honesty it's a day care. Teachers are nice but overwhelmed. We would get reports from teachers weekly contradicting themselves on what they said to us prior. They promise an "academic report" but it never comes... After asking for it repeatedly, we get one months later and it seems rushed and inadequate. When you question them on it, they say its not really a progress report and not enforced. Then what is my kid learning?? After a couple of months you can see them not knowing or having time to get to know my son, nor seeing his progess on how he had grown week to week. It proved to me they are not teaching or giving personal attention... it's a just day care with a lot of kids. Other things to note: - son would come home often with signs no one checked to make sure he went potty well (with restrooms in class mind you) - son would come home with shoes on wrong feet (they said they don't put kids shoes on. Ok, but did you notice they are on wrong??) - son told us a teacher hurt his hand (this was a red flag just prior to us deciding to leave the school. We have a feeling we know who it was but I don't want to put any name on here) - notices of conduct/policy issues with school. 2 were sent to us during school year, not what you expect from a school that touts their stellar success. - they put kids on time out. The new school we are sending my son to was shocked when they found out a 3 year old gets sent to timeout. How does this work?? Look, it's a nice school. The parents who send their kids here seem great and the school is safe. But if you expect your kid to excel and get a head start, this is definitely not the school for you. They over promise, they do not deliver. If you ask them why, they give excuses. Investing in a school means you expect a level of personal attention and stellar teachers. They have too many kids in the classroom, too many assistant teachers, that it's impossible for them to get to know your kid and push academic development. As a parent who is heavily invested in giving my kids a head start academically, Foothill Christian Preschool is not worth the money overall for us, so we went elsewhere. read more

My family and I loooooved our experience at Foothill Christian Preschool. Our two boys both started there as 2 year olds and stayed there until Kindergarten. Each year, our boys had amazing teachers, grew and learned so much, and had a ton of fun in the process. The campus is safe and clean, but the quality of the building is nothing when compared to the quality of the staff. From the director, to the ladies in the front office, to each and every teacher, our boys felt loved and cared for every time they stepped foot in the door. Although they're both in elementary school now, they still talk about their days in preschool with smiles on their faces. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this school to anybody. read more

We do not live nearby but after extensive research about preschools in the SGV, we selected Foothill Christian based on our meeting with the preschool director and fantastic parent feedback. The Director genuinely cares for all the kids and put a lot of thought and detail into the state-of-the-art facility. Our son's teacher and aide are wonderful, loving and caring. The playground and class are super clean. They have chapel once a week. My 2-year old has been having a hard time transitioning from being at home with me, a stay-at-home mom, into preschool and the teachers at Foothill Christian Preschool have gone above and beyond to comfort him, reassure him and accommodate him. A lot of hugs and one-on-one time is what he needs and it's what he's getting when he needs it. My son uses sign language to communicate and his teacher uses sign with him while encouraging him to use speech to articulate his needs. It's wonderful to see him develop! I'm a Tiger Mom and while I believe education is pinnacle, before that, my son needs to have a love for school and know it's a safe and loving environment. That's where his love of learning will grow from. Thus far, we are extremely happy with our choice in preschool! read more

I want to express my dissatisfaction with the Foothill Christian Preschool. I want to warn parents that it may not be the right fit for your child if they are slightly difficult. They gave my son all of 10 days to acclimate to a new environment for him before asking him to leave. He is only 2-3 years old. They didn't address the situation with us until they wanted him out. They may have a good program, but if your kid is hyper or going through small learning disabilities they were not willing to work with him. This is why I am very disappointed. They have a waiting list and just feel as though they only want the best and aren't flexible. Needless to say not the right fit for my son. I just wanted to say what an amazing experience we had with your preschool. We started my 2 1/2 year old daughter at the half-day campus with Miss Elaina in January . We had a nanny from the time that she was 5 months old and felt that it was time for her to get more socialization. As expected, she had a difficult time adjusting at first, but Miss Elaina would always make sure and play music for her when she arrived because we told her that music is what usually calms her down if she's upset. As the weeks went on we could see an immediate difference in her verbal skills. In June, we let our nanny go and started our daughter at the full day campus with Miss Michelle. Again, we were anxious as to how she would adjust to full time and to being at a different location. From the first time meeting Miss Michelle I knew she would be in good hands. She is so loving and it's obvious she cares about all the kids as if they were her own. From the second day, our daughter was excited to go to school and we could see how much she was learning in a short period of time. Every contact I had with Miss Michelle, Miss Elaina, and all of the aides was always a positive experience. They were never once negative about anything and would always make a point to tell me that my daughter had a good day, or took a good nap, or ate well, just all the things you wonder about when your child is away from you all day. My daughter is usually pretty clingy when I'm around, but when I would drop her off she would run right to Miss Michelle as if I wasn't there. She truly loved our daughter. Unfortunately, we moved to another city and have not had the same experience at her new Christian preschool. In the three weeks she has been at the new school, she's already been hurt twice by other children with no teacher witnesses and I've had several negative experiences with her teachers about common sense things you would expect an experienced teacher to have. I can only compare her current experience to the one we had at Foothill and all I can say is I wish I could have taken the school with us when we moved. We miss Foothill Christian!!! read more
