Hope has been such an amazing school for our son since first grade, he's is 4th grade now. The compassion and kindness and family environment is exactly what I was looking for in a school. I am grateful to have a Christian community that is built on faith and the Bible I love their Wednesday chapel and the curriculum. The principal of the school is very involved and easy to communicate with with an open door policy. She has always been positive and an advocate of my child. My child is enjoying his fourth grade year with the amazing Mrs Sanchez. She is patient and she is kind. Our girls have been going to this school for the past three years and I can't say enough about every teacher they have had! It's evident that they love teaching and care about all students. We feel that both our girls are learning well and even excelling in some areas. I personally love that it's a smaller school. According to my kiddos they have Bible time all the time . There are so many great things I can say about the academics of this school, like they teach math a year higher than other private schools in town. Hope has delivered more than expected for the education of our child. Small class sizes, friendly/loving/safe environment, family oriented, strong focus on math, science, vocab, etc. They are a well-rounded school with a fantastic administration that ensures your child will get a great experience. Academics is obviously very important, but so are extracurricular after-school activities such as: football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, meet up's, field trips, etc. Most recently, there was grandparents day, half day event where students could share their school with grandma or grandpa. Our child has excelled in Hope's loving environment. He was once a shy kid, but he now beams with confidence and self-assurance. I can't say enough great things about Hope! My daughter started in preschool after I researched and interviewed a handful of schools from East Pasadena to San Dimas. I chose Hope initially because I liked the preschool director and the preschool teachers I had a chance to meet. Now my daughter will be finishing second grade in a month and I am continually impressed with the level of compassion, care, and dedication I see from faculty and staff. I've had nothing but good experiences with everyone I interact with, including parents. My daughter is excelling socially and academically, and I know it's because of this school. The most unprofessional unfriendly office staffs ever! Walked in with my two kids was interested in the preschool for my son I had called and made an appointment for a school tour ahead of time. On that Friday when I walked in there was a older man with a mustache standing right in the office with one other staff and they were chatting of course he saw me looked at me made eye contact and turned away and kept looking on his piece of paper ignoring me while I politely said excuse me a couple of time to that man who just did there and trying to ignore me did not answer me I mean literally there was no one there except the three of us... there was another lady that was on the computer I waited patiently for 5 minutes until the lady turned around and said oh can I help you I mean seriously the guy was standing right in front of me said nothing to me . Seriously it was discrimination against the color of my skin cuz that man looked at me up and down and then turn away. And I went to this school because I'm also a practicing Christian but after that experience on last Friday I will not be signing my child up for that school... read more

We came to Hope almost 5 years ago when it was time to select a pre-school for our daughter. So many outstanding choices in Glendora, but Hope was the best. Our daughter is a 2nd grader now, and is joined by her younger brother, in kindergarten. Neither of our children could read when they entered as full-time kindergarten students. Both are reading at two grade levels or more above their current grade. Both are proficient in math. In fact, our kindergartener often offers to help his big sister with her multiplication homework! Thus far big sister has declined his offers. We couldn't be happier. The teachers are attentive and thorough. The administrative staff is friendly and resourceful. The students treat each other with compassion and care. Whenever we are on campus, we feel like we are amongst family. I originally sent my first grand-daughter to Hope. A good education that included good character building was important to my wife and I. We lived about 10 miles east of Glendora, but the trip was worth it. She started there at about 3 years of age in pre-school and graduated 2 years ago from eighth grade. Now, my second and third grand-daughter attend and will finish there as well. They too started in preschool. Although they now live 20 miles away, they journey there. My wife and I were pleased that reading, writing and arithmetic were emphasized as was science in later years. My eldest grand-daughter always tested well above her grade level in standardized tests throughout her years. Indeed, she now attends a public high school and noted she was very well prepared for public school. She was rather advanced, especially in reading, writing, etc. The other girls are coming along nicely as well. The campus is smaller and all my grand children have received the attention they deserved as their class sizes were smaller, allowing teachers to give that extra attention. They do have sports, and all who want, get to participate. However, there is competition between teams and I enjoyed watching their games. They have a big field, play equipment for the younger ones, and an outstanding courtyard with a huge oak in the center. Bullying is not tolerated and you can speak to the teacher principle directly about any issue rather than going through the endless layers of public school administration. On the contrary, respect and kindness were emphasized as well as love of your fellow man. If your child, like one of mine, needed help on a subject, the teacher was available to help give extra guidance. In my case, an older student with command of the subject was engaged to tutor after school. I just appreciated finding this location and am thankful for opportunities there and for what they did and are doing for my grand-children. They do wear uniforms, which we came to appreciate as they were handed down through the years and saved money. I know I should have thanked them sooner, but with 3 grand-children, they keep my wife and I pretty busy...... read more
