I'm so thankful to have found a good daycare for my 1 year old. It's hard to find somewhere where you feel 100% confident in your child's safety and education. The teachers make me feel like I'm handing my child off to another me. My daughter is 1.5 years old and loves school and runs in and doesn't even say bye to me half the time. They play outside, take buggy rides, have nap time, meals, and I really like that they make the extra effort to put up pictures of the kids and their families on the wall. Their pets too :) They have open house just like regular schools and they communicate constantly which makes me feel so at ease. They require your own unique access code to get in, etc. All my nieces and nephews also go here and we love it. Mrs. Lebruni had my niece and now my daughter and she feels like family :) We're going to miss her when we move up to the next class, but we're also excited. And they just decorated for the spooky season and it's so cute! read more

Our 3yo has been at Dove Day since Sept (it's now almost March) and it's been a wonderful experience!! The teachers are caring thoughtful and supportive. The office staff are welcoming and kind, and basically everyone is super amazing. They regularly have fun dress up days or cozy PJ days which our 3yo really enjoys participating in. Our 3yo has lovedddd going to school and it's very reassuring to know from the staff to the teachers.. they all really care! Definitely highly recommend. read more

It's our first summer at Dove Day summer camp, and a month in, my son is having a blast! The teachers are all very sweet and they communicate very well to parents in person and via the app. Kids enjoy the huge playground, classrooms, and swim days in the on site pool. Field trips to the movies or other local venues are also fun. If you need high quality child care for a 7 year old like mine, I highly recommend Dove. Reasonable priced. They also have a school program and infant and toddler program but I can't speak to that since we are new here. Im sure it's excellent though, like the elementary kid aged program. Some things to note about this review: *This review is written after four months of my daughter attending Dove Day School and already having transitioned from the Lower Two's to the Upper Two's* *My daughter is very vocal about what she likes and does not like. I removed our daughter from our previous daycare after she transitioned to a new classroom and immediately started telling me she didn't want to go to school and that she didn't want to see (Teachers Name), as well as hysterically crying every morning when getting her into the car.* Now, for the review: Dove Day School is a top notch, warm, welcoming, and quality school that I would recommend many times over. From the Directors down to the teachers, to the physical environment and the social community, Dove Day excels in all areas. I was immediately taken back by how involved the Leadership is with the rest of the staff. It gives me confidence to know that all adults are in unification and communication with one another. The school grounds are situated in a way that the courtyard really allows for parents, teachers, and children to interact with each other in an open way and for all ages to be within their own groups but feel apart of the rest of the student body. This is such a nice feeling! Ms. Yasmin, Ms. Cassandra, and Ms. Samantha are very warm and kind and treat their kids with a-lot of care, while still maintaining the necessary structures. Being a first time mom was very difficult when finding the right care for my child but I felt so confident with the experience all the teachers demonstrated that I truly felt at ease after my first tour 6 years ago. My child has attended this school ever since, at the age of 2 and they are the absolute best! The first director Jackie wasn't always friendly but the teachers at the center are really what made me continue to enroll my child. The previous directors Mrs Tracy & Mrs Garcia were so great we were sad to see them go. The current directors Mrs Letty and Ms Lindsey are AMAZING. You really couldn't ask for a more caring, respectful and positive environment for your child to be in with the care all the staff provide. They have become a second family to myself and child. Mrs. Austin at the elementary school is so caring and engaged with the students that my child has been able to improve in his studies within the last year. She offers tutoring in the summer and makes sure she has time to individually spend with students in different aspects of their work. My child always say "she is the best teacher". We sadly will not be continuing at the school due to relocation and the commute would be far too great but it is truly going to be a difficult transition for myself and child as we love the dove day school! My son attended Dove from 7 months until 5 years old. He now attends kindergarten at a public school, but Dove provided great care and an excellent foundation for him. Such an amazing school facing the San Dimas foothills! Sending my niece here was a no brainer after looking at other learning facilities that felt cold and unwelcoming. The administrative staff here has been kind, patient and knowledgeable when responding to any questions I may have and keeping me updated with all school activities being hosted. My daughter attended Dove since she was a baby. Mrs. Woods in the infant room is the BEST! I was at ease once she reassured me my daughter would get top notch care. My daughter is now in Kindergarten but both of my kids attend summer camp every summer. There is also a heated pool on site for swim lessons. I am SO happy we found Dove Day School! I have 2 kids here in the summer camp (9 & 10), as well as a toddler. The staff is so friendly and loving, communication is great, activities are fun, and the food is great! One of my kids has some dietary restrictions and the kitchen staff is amazing to go above and beyond to accommodate my child. The food is always fresh and not a bunch of frozen junk that we've experienced at other places. They are also very affordable when I was comparing prices. I currently have two grandchildren attending Dove Day and we often have the pleasure of picking them up at the school. I am consistently impressed how connected the staff are with the children. One day, I was told by THREE separate employees (independently) that my grandson, Elliott, had "A two hour nap today." The first time I picked him up, he turned around at the departure gate and exclaimed "Goodbye Friends!" as we left. He is so happy there. My granddaughter, Millie, often has her hair braided or decorated with ribbons by one of the (talented) staff members. Beautiful work, and no extra charge :) We are working go get another of our grandsons admitted to Dove Day. He will benefit from the socialization and activities there. --Grandpa read more

After reading the reviews I was thinking this place had to be good, but I think the reviews must be from the previous owners when it had a different name as well. Somehow the reviews stayed. It is bottom on my list for daycares. I toured this place and I saw a toddler eating ants and the teacher told the director, "oh she does that"- as if this was okay!!! The infant room didn't have the most friendly teachers- they looked worn out and not happy. One baby was laying on the tile floor feeding himself! The staff weren't interacting with the infants at all. The director giving the tour even told me that the infants don't go outside because "they don't know the difference, they're only babies"- wow. read more

Grave Incompetence. We are moving to San Dimas in few days. Our new house is at walking distance from Dove Day School. We thought it is ideal for our son. Six days ago (Tuesday) we called Dove Day School to learn about the preschool, and to check availability. We talked to Miss Garcia (Vivianna), the Assistant Director. She said there is an opening starting at the end of November. We thought it was great news. Everything else we heard during that phone call was positive. Vivianna mentioned we could take a Zoom tour of the preschool. We were fine with that. She said a Zoom tour would be available the next morning already, and we should send an email to the school's email address to schedule the tour itself. We did so. Then we immediately started looking at the enrollment forms we found on the Dove Day School website. We spent time reading them and preparing a list of questions. The main comment we had about the forms was that they were outdated, as they still referred to either the summer of 2020, or the school year 2020-2021, but it is now November 2021. On Wednesday morning, we did the Zoom tour. We saw the preschool classroom. The tour was quite brief, because there was only one classroom to see, and nothing else. Also, Vivianna did not really provide many details. Before ending the meeting, we pointed out that the Dove Day School website still has outdated paperwork, and we were wondering if there is up to date paperwork that we can fill up to enroll our son. She said she would talk to the school Director to prepare updated documentation, and then she would email it to us. Right after the tour (around 11:00 AM), we sent an email to Vivianna, thanking her for the tour, and stating explicitly that we wanted to proceed and enroll our son to the school. The next day, Thursday, was Veterans Day, and the school was closed. On Friday, we called both in the morning and in the early afternoon to check status, but both times we were told Vivianna was busy and she would get back to us when she can. By 3:30 PM, still nothing from Vivianna, so we called again. This time Vivianna answered. She said she was sorry for not having gotten back to us yet, but the reason was that her Director was still updating the enrollment paperwork. So we asked how long it would take for her Director to finish to update the paperwork. Vivianna said that actually we could bring over the registration form and the deposit of $230 any time, because the updated registration form was already on the website. We pointed out to her that the registration form on the website was still the 2020-2021 form, and it was still the same registration form we had seen last Tuesday. Vivianna said it is actually OK to fill that up, because it is still valid. We wish she had told us sooner. We told her we were planning to come to San Dimas on Monday, and we could come by to turn in both the deposit and the registration form in the late morning. She said that would work. Then, we said we can come back one more time later, when the rest of the paperwork is updated. Vivianna said the rest of the paperwork would actually be ready by the time we visit on Monday morning. On Monday (which is today) in the late morning, as agreed, my wife and I went to the school in person to drop off the deposit and the registration form. We arrived around 11:30 AM. We rang the door and Vivianna came to open. She let us in, and she introduced us to her Director, who was sitting at the front desk. As soon as we finished the introductions, Vivianna said "unfortunately, this morning another family came in and gave us their deposit, so we gave the spot to them. Unfortunately, that was the last spot available, so there are no more spots available for your son." We thought she was joking. We said "OK, but you know we told you a week ago that we wanted to proceed and enroll our son, right?" She answered by saying something like "sorry, but things work on a first come, first serve basis here. The other family gave us their deposit first, so we gave the spot to them." After everything we have gone through, the Zoom tour, the many emails, the many phone calls, which all made it very clear we wanted to proceed, and the agreement we would come on Monday, they still did not hold the spot for us, and gave it to somebody else. Vivianna never told us that that was the last spot available, and she never told us another family was planning to come to give them the deposit. Instead, she told us it was OK to come on Monday morning, and we trusted her. We followed all her instructions, because we trusted her. But we were stabbed in the back. We started complaining, saying that they were not behaving professionally with us, and Vivianna said "if you feel that way, you should not enroll your son here". Is that the way she should talk to us? Shouldn't she try to make things right instead? We believe we have been treated very unfairly and unprofessionally. read more

Our daughter has gone to Dove since she was 4 months old. She is now just over 2 and we still LOVE it here. The care that they get in the infant room is a mother's dream. She was held as much as she wanted, she was encouraged to do tummy time, she was encouraged to crawl and eventually walk. Miss Woods (head of infant room) gave me tips or advice whenever I asked which made me feel confident in uncharted waters. I was nervous when she was going to move up to the 1-2 yr old room because I assumed it wouldn't be as great as the infant room or that she wasn't ready. Boy was I wrong! She loved moving up to the next room with new activities and older friends and new equally amazing teachers. Our daughter absolutely loved it and of course, so did we. She had a lot of time to play outside in a special area for kiddos her size. She really thrived in that environment with language and socialization. She got all the love she needed if she missed her parents or if she fell down and got an owie. It really was a mothers dream. Then of course, time to move to the next room with the 2-3 year olds and mom gets nervous. It was so EASY! Once again, she adapted so quickly and LOVED her new "big kid room". She gets tons of time outside to play in the fantastic playground. She gets to navigate slides and dig in the sand. She still gets her "owies" because she plays so hard and runs so fast but whenever she does, she gets all the love and care that a mother could dream of. My daughter has truly thrived here. The staff is fantastic! They keep us updated all the time with pictures throughout they day and conversation at drop off and pick up. I always feel like I was a part of her day, even when I'm working. They give the parents as much comfort as the kids, which says a lot. The rates are fantastic too! Unfortunately we have to leave Dove b/c we are moving. In my research of new places, I was really reminded of how great we have had it at Dove. We are looking forward to our new home in a new city but with miss Dove Day School tremendously. They really helped us "first time parents" ease into going back to work and leaving our child with "strangers". They quickly became extensions of us and we have all grown very attached to them. read more

My son has been attending this school since he was 8 weeks old. Not only has the staff been incredibly nurturing, they interact with the children from the moment their doors open. My son is one of the first ones there every morning, and the teachers are warm and happy when they greet him. When there is a concern with developmental behaviors, or general questions with curriculum, the entire staff comes together to help support you as the parent. I'm mostly impressed with the teachers and support staff's close relationships and professionalism. This is a direct reflection of the site director. She's supportive, and approachable. My nieces also attend this school, and my siblings have stated how much more welcoming this staff is compared to other daycares/preschools they have tried before. I highly recommend a visit if you're considering this site, and ask as many questions as you can think of! Interact with the teachers, and stop and ask parents questions if you can!! I did that before enrolling my son, and the feedback from the few parents I ran into was nothing but positive, and the energy from the staff was warm and welcoming. My 3 year old (almost 4) has been attending this school since last year. What a great choice we made....I've seen great improvement in almost every aspect of his early development. He loves going to his school and almost on a weekly basis, I see he is learning. The teachers and staff are very friendly and provide a fun learning environment for the kids. Since I have him there full-time (all day), I wanted to make sure he was happy where he was all day. I always ask him how his day went and what did he do, and 9 out of 10, he always has something pleasant to say which makes Mommy happy!! Also, since my boy is bi-racial, I also like the fact that this school has many multi ethnicities. I've visited several other pre-K schools around the area, and Serendipity probably has the better outdoor playground area for the kids. And a lot of learning toys inside the classroom. The teachers are always updating their classrooms to make it fun for the kids and happy for the parents so we could get a glimpse of what we're missing during their day. I am really comforted knowing everyday when I go to work my child is in loving, careful hands. Just want to share this year was not so easy as a mom! I'm very thankful for Dove day school direct Jackie Viviana, Mrs Brown , Tracey Mrs Lopez Mrs Austin, Mrs Ramirez , who plays instruments the kids learned sign language some Spanish and most important values of life!! Mrs Shelly who makes things with the children the all the teachers for there support ! Mrs Alfaro who makes the best enchiladas she comes in early every day faithfully to cook for our children , for the kids it home away from home they all have been a big part of our life's and I love how they are there at 6am and close at 630pm they are dedicated to being present! I almost had to take my kids out but the small setting classes for grade school has really helped my kids I don't know what I would do the public schools are such large class rooms my kids kids are on small setting so thankful for dove grade 6months to 8th grade the only school I know were my kids are together very thankful thank you all for your dedication and loving kids!!! My son has been attending Dove Day since he was 15 months. He was younger than when my oldest son started daycare so I was very nervous. The staff here is AMAZING!! I work in education and can tell you first hand that their business philosophy is with every child in mind. My daughter has been attending Dove Day School since she was 5 months old and she loves it there! Before selecting the school, I toured a few other facility and Mrs. Woods and Mrs. Jackie made me feel comfortable about leaving my baby in school while I went back to work. I believe every parent goes through the fear of who will be caring for their little baby. This fear was put to ease by the staff, they were kind and patient with ALL of my questions, concerns and doubts as a new mother (and I had many!!) They always made me feel better after speaking with them, it was like I needed them as much as my daughter! (Maybe more) They are always so good at art projects, outside activities, creating theme days and sending photos of them to keep parents looped in on all the fun they're having at school! When I share these pictures with family and friends they're all impressed by how much her school does for her on a regular basis.
