My son has been at this location for four months now, having transferred from the City of Industry KinderCare. Looking back, I wish we had chosen Via Verde from the start. Initially, he was a bit uneasy in the mornings due to the new environment and unfamiliar faces, but he quickly adjusted and now plays well with the other kids. I'm very grateful to his teachers, who are gentle and patient. They respect his decisions and give him space, understanding that, a three-year-old has a mind of his own and is very particular in his way. I also really like this particular location, it feels safe and peaceful. The classrooms have minimal student turnover, which prevents them from feeling overwhelming. The teachers are calm and nice. they are very active on the app post and photo uploads. Most importantly, there are no more constant calls about non-existent fever symptoms, and we no longer have to deal with frequent scratches or head injuries that used to result in 2-3 accident reports each week. As a parent, we finally have a peace of mind and rest assured that my baby is in good hands. read more

I would give it a 5 star rating but there's a few teachers there that just show up because it's a job and not because they connect with the children. My son was there from the time he turned 1 until he was 2 months away from 2 years old. He had been in infant b class and he loved Ms. Stephanie(the one whom was there from when he started daycare), as well as Ms. Victoria. Every time I'd drop off to them, I'd have no issues. He would actually reach out for them for comfort on drop offs. I'd always pick him up and his clothes were clean, face was clean, always had his stuff pre packed for me. He moved on to the next class at 1.5 years and connected there slightly with some of his teachers. Thank you Ms. Mikaela and Ms. Hallie for always comforting Maverick through his transition in to your class. But through the transition there was a new Ms. Stephanie and he did not care for her, her customer service was poor. Every time I'd ask where my son's things were she wouldn't know. I'd have to go find his bottles or sippy cups or his coat or binky. She'd be the main one with him and every time he'd come home his diaper would be on too tight, he'd have poop (which would be dried up most times). Ms. Angel whom I mostly dealt with (other than Ms. Melissa) was also very kind and overall a big help with any questions I may have had! Went on a tour and the staff seemed nice. However, it smelled like urine in the back room. The bathroom looked like a prison bathroom, old and dirty with toilet paper on the floor (no door). The kitchen did not look clean either. It seemed like complete chaos with no formal classrooms, it's all just one big room with different groups of children. The baby/ younger kids have separate rooms with doors. I would not feel comfortable leaving my child here. Also, they have no camera system. You cannot check in to see how your child is doing yourself. read more

I had my son in Kindercare since he was 3months to about 1 1/2 years old. I thought it was a good school although my son was constantly sick and some of the staff had attitude issues even when I expressed concerns about anything they were rude about it. I thought it was normal for kids to get sick while in daycare. At one point my daughter which is 13 years old got dcfs involved in my life and when they went to interview the staff they turned on me and said that my son would cry if I would go pick him up which was a lie. They pretty much said anything negative to a DCFS social worker who obviously was working against me at the time I couldn't believe it what was happening because I had been so kind to the whole staff I would bring them coffee and treats they told the worker that I would bring them treats to bribe them I was taken back by the staff and when I went to upper management they said I'm sorry they aren't supposed lie and they will be trained from now on I will NEVER bring my son to this facility I had the worst experience with them and now that everything is okay and my son goes to a Christian daycare he never gets sick and the staff are open to suggestions and support me and both my kids. Every time my kids went to school I would hope it was a particular teacher bc if it wasn't then they seemed to have more a tough day at school. There was also a day when the lady who passes out breakfast made comments about my two sons and I don't think she ever realized I was their mom and I could hear everything she was saying she was very rude. My son was having a tough morning during drop off that day and it definitely didn't make us feel any more welcomed so I took them home that day. There's maybe two good teachers who actually have patience and enjoy seeing the kids the other ones always seemed unhappy and grumpy while watching the kids unfortunately.. However my kids did have learning disabilities and behavioral concerns while here, they did seem to improve a lil towards the end but it didn't end up working out. read more

My child attended this facility for just under a year. Unfortunately the cons far outweighed the pros at this facility. Pro's 1) 1-2 great teachers and employees are here. Unfortunately 1 or 2 parties are not enough to keep me here. 2) Daily sheets are provided to parents re-capping my child's day. Occasional photos of my child were provided. 3) Lunch is provided in the class we were in. Con's 1) Turnover - Employee turnover is high as a result of student right violations. (Please review the CA Department of Social Services for additional information. This is a public database) 2) Ratios - The teacher to student ratio is at the max for some classes. Although legal, child supervision suffers as a result. There has been more than a few times I've picked up my child with injuries or heat rashes. Please don't rest on Title 5 or any other statue to justify lack of supervision. 3) Communication - Communication with parents is extremely weak. I understand that some bumps and scrapes occur but a phone call for face scratches and/or hitting of head is needed. Please update the notification system. Apps like classdojo are now available for parent - teacher dialogue and photo uploads. 4) Payment methods - There is not many options to pay. Please update this via point of sale, square, auto-withdrawal.... something that just makes payment easier. If I have to jump through hoops to pay I'm not using you. 5) Facility Leadership - As a parent I purposefully try to participate in my child's development & growth. I expect the leadership to do the same. I take notice of calendar placements, events held, parent - teacher conference times. During my time there, calendars were hidden and one event was held. To my surprise almost all Kindercare's are going down the drain. This particular one has the most unknowledgeable Director. Staff always have a shit face at drop off. No smiles, no comfort and no talk. It's like If you hate your job LEAVE! Only one person I don't have anything bad to say about was Angel. She is a sweet lady and knows how to interact with kids. My second biggest complain was my kid was missing his diaper rash lotion and this teacher told me," oh don't worry I'll use someone else's". Gross!!!! At pick up my kid would always have dry buggers on his face and literally got sick every week. Place was dirty smh totally f**** careless. Constant bights which I don't understand how these " caretakers" would let occur. Unprofessional due to the fact that I directly got a complain from a teacher in front of another parent, that made me livid and I was about to ask her if that's the type of professionalism she was thought , but i refused to be unprofessional due to the kids being there.To me this matter would've been delivered by the director, but she's a moron and has zero skills. Be persistent when your child gets a cut on his face because they don't tell you what happen. Over all this place is crap!!! I'm so glad I switched my poor kid and now is so happy at his new day care. What a difference. My recommendation is go to another pla UPDATE ON A CALL BACK FROM KINDER CARE AFTER I DID FOLLOW UP WITH THE INFORMATION GIVEN TO ME SINCE " they where so concerned". Bs!!!! My nephews came here after being at a in home daycare for a year, they switched to Kindercare because we wanted them to start expanding there mind more and learning. They have been at vía verde Kindercare for only 2 months and we already see the change in them, through there attitudes, and patience. We get updates on them everyday through the Kindercare app and it's great to see. We can't thank the staff enough for having the patience with the boys because they have learned so much and gained knowledge even with the little time spent at the school. read more

I have sent my baby girl here for two years and so far the experience has been great! Special thanks to Ms Amber and Ms Melissa and Ms Kelsey for taking care of my girl. They will always comfort her when she is moody in the morning. My girl always leave with a smile! Nothing is perfect of course, still need some help on potty train. Their daily focus on instruction, being nice to each other with nice manners, and extra programs you can sign up for (soccer, Spanish, cooking) have been excellent for both of my rambunctious boys. After visiting numerous childcare centers in the area, this one seemed decent enough and had an opening for my son, so I decided to sign him up on a trial-basis before going back to work. The first day there were many babies! I counted more than eight. There were numerous babies in the cribs, some were awake, and the rest of the babies were on the main floor. One of the workers was with one hand bottle feeding one baby who was laying flat on his back on the ground in a horizon position, whole holding a baby on her lap and tickling a baby with her foot( she was wearing an indoor slipper). The other worker was managing 3 other babies on the floor. I'm not sure who would have watched my baby, because I handed him to the director. I left written and verbal directions for feeding and applying ointment for EVERY diaper change. My baby attended for two days and that was it! The first day I got my baby back full of dried mucus from crying the whole time. They told me he had a really rough day. He was only there for 3 hours, how hard could that be? The second day he went, I actually put him to sleep and then left. They called me right when he woke up saying he was crying and they didn't know how to soothe him. I rushed back to pick him up. When I got him he was not wearing the bed, which was on my written feeding instructions. His shirt was soaking wet with milk and drool! When I asked the child care worker Why his shirt was wet and why he hadn't worn a bib she told me next time he would.That evening my baby who had never as much as even spit up, vomited and had diarrhea that lasted a week! Three days after his last day there, he developed a cough and runny nose. He has been sick for 2 weeks now and I regret ever taking him there. When I got his stuff back I saw the ointment Still have the seal on it and it had never been used for a diaper change! I feel bad for the babies there because their parents don't know what's going on. They have an open door policy but with working parents, no one has time. They should install security cameras so their parents can see what is really going on like many other centers in the area have. The director seems very friendly but a good childcare needs competent teachers that engage the babies with activities and developmentally appropriate curriculum. Although this center's Website describes a curriculum, I never saw that in place for the infants. All I saw was babies lounging around the floor on their own.This is not the place for quality infant care. read more

My daughter attended this day care since she was an infant and she just went on to kindergarten. I highly recommend this day care. It's clean, safe, and staffed with friendly, caring caregivers. When my daughter was in the infant class they respected my special requests for cloth diapers and breast milk bottles. The staff were true partners to our family, often offering helpful tips, advice, and assistance. As my daughter moved through each of the classes she continually loved each of her teachers and the other staff. Some she liked more than others but she always felt safe and happy and so did we as parents. She attended during COVID and the school handled the situation in a safe way and continually communicated with parents. When our daughter applied to kindergarten the teachers supported us and helped in any way they could to ensure our daughter was accepted at the kindergarten of our choice. The staff do fun dress up days and activities to make it fun for the kids and they did their best to contribute to a safe, stable, comfortable environment for the kids. AMAZING STAFF ! I am so great full for all the amazing teachers my son has. Ms Aleena was wonderful and took very good care of my son while i was down the hall. Was there for almost a year as a teacher and I love the amazing friends i've made, and the amazing relationships I've made with some parents. Wish i could've stayed but the lack of communication with the Center director and the lack of knowledge she gave my class was a BIG reason why i left. Not a care in the world when it came down to The Discovery Preschool class. Basically almost always left us out of ratio and ALWAYS told us to just deal with it if there was ANY probSo sad.. My daughter who is 11 now went there when she was 2 years old until she started Kindergarten. Ms. Elaine (her preschool teacher) is WONDERFUL! So when it was time for me to go back to work after I had my son there was no other place I wanted or trusted to leave him. When I walked in with my daughter to register my son, my daughter asked me if she thought Ms. Elaine would remember her and I said I didn't think so. Well when Jordan walked over to her she said "Hello Jordan I haven't seen you in forever!" My daughter felt so excited that she remembered her, I almost started crying, it was like no time had passed at all. Ms. Elena (the morning infant teacher) has been wonderful. So patient and understanding of how difficult it is for me to leave him. Mu son's been going there since he was 4 months old (he's almost 1 now) and he loves all the teachers and they love him. You can tell all the teachers love their kids and vice versa. Ms. Christy (the Director) is very attentive to parents needs and concerns and Ms. Nicole (the Assistant Director) is so sweet and wonderful! I feel like everyone there is my second family!! This is a really bad kindercare, no teacher care about the kids. They let two kids cry for almost 4 hours. At lunch, some kids eat nothing then the teacher did no help just throw out the food, make the kids cry more!They have no smile, even not a word to the crying kids. Did not like this place , my son went there for 3 months and he was so unhappy .. I know they get very sad when they just start going to preschool for the first time but 3 months ? Also he got so so sick , not just cold he got diarrea like 2 times, took him to the doctor and she told me if my son went to another country or something I told her no, so she told me he got something a bacteria that only people that goes travel gets it or can be by food. I got so upset because he is a very heathy kid maybe few times he got the cold with me but nothing else and since he start to this place he was sick and very happy, also they have so many kids with one teacher she couldn't do all by herself, she was super nice no problem with her. Also when is time to eat they eat in the same room when they are done they move the table and put the beds! She is too busy to clean the floor correctly after they eat. I had enough so I took him out, and called them by phone and they didn't even asked me why I am taking him out they didn't even care . The principal I don't know her name she just told oh ok, you can come anytime to pick up his extra clothes he has here. Wow that surprised me. So I changed for Glendora children's Center and wow they care so much for the kids , my son has a gluten and sugar free diet and has speech therapy, they are always asking me what are they working with him so they keep doing it for him , they even got snacks that are GF for him ! , just amazing! always clean my son didn't even cried ones, he run to go outside then to his class. I just started my 2-year-old son Jack here after having a wonderful appointment with the director Mrs. Christy back in January. We've been so pleased with how it's been going. Jack only goes 2/3 times a week so far and we've been very happy! I call a lot to check on him still and not only are they patient with me but very attentive with Jack throughout the day. Ms. Alicia is there in the morning when I drop him off and she is so loving and friendly with my son, i'm very appreciative of her, Ms. Elaine as well. Started taking my son here for daycare. Will say was very skeptical one let's be honest we don't hear a lot of good reviews on kindercare and two him being my first and hearing so many horror stories out there about childcare. But have to say from my own experience I am very happy so far by the choice I made here. One reason I went with this childcare is because I use to do my ROP classes when I was in high school and one thing I remember was how cautious they were about sanitizing and germs. Def all the teachers have been great and the director. But the ones who have really went above and beyond for my son and see the compassion they've had with helping him transition is Ms Elena and Ms Nicole (directors assistant and sorry if I mess up on names) hearing your baby cry when you leave is never easy but they def let me know he was being comfort in my absence. Another great thing I like is I can sneak up and watch him for awhile in the windows to see how he's doing anytime of the day and it's never a big deal or they make me feel unwanted or bugging. I also like I don't have to worry about packing meals or snacks and get a daily report of all his activities for the day which includes all meals/snacks and if he did eat them, how many diapers and what it was, nap times and how long. My son and daughter started in Nov 2014 since I needed a daycare closer to home. I couldn't be happier because my son loved Ms. Elena (infant teacher). She is the best, always on top of things and all of the kids love her. Even the older kids stop by to hug her before they leave, she is that amazing! He just moved to the toddler class but still gets to visit her. As for the other teachers, my daughter went through several teachers due to staffing issues, but she loves Ms. Alicia from the learning adventures program. She has learned so much from her and is sad when she is sick and unable to go to her class. She looks forward to her class and can't wait to show me what she learned that day! I love that she is so excited to learn...that makes a great teacher spectacular! read more

My son went there for over a year. There billing system is terrible. First off my weekly bill was $218.10. I wrote a check for this amount and when i checked my account they took out $2181.00. Kindercare somehow took this amount out instead of $218.10. When this happened it frooze my account and caused several checks to bounce. They then corrected it and put back the balance that was not due to them. I incurred tons of fees and was on the phone for the day trying to straighten everything out. A few months pass and they send me to collections saying i never paid that week. They must have forgot that they wasted 8 hours of my time. At $450 an hour they got me good. My son went to Kinder Care when he was 5 months old and I just moved him when he turned 2 years in October. To start, Ms. Elena is the best part of this daycare center. She truly loves the children and babies and what she does. Her passion for her job was evident on a daily basis. She eased all my nerves when it was time for me to go back to work. My son was fortunate to be in Ms. Elena's class until he was about 15 months. I was so sad when he moved over to the toddler room, but I knew the transition would happen eventually. He moved over to the toddler room with Ms. Amber. She was very nice, sweet, and friendly. My son liked her a lot. He was only in her class for a short while and then he was off for the summer. My son went back in August, but was only there for a few months until he turned 2 in October. I was unsatisfied with the new classroom he was in. They didn't engage much with the kids, and the passion didn't seem there. Ms. Gigi was the only one that I would see engaging with the kids. To note, the La Verne KinderCare staff (it closed down) merged with this KinderCare and things totally changed. The center was cluttered and you could see that from the moment you walked in the door. The entire space felt confined. A lot of new employees and unfamiliar faces. I'm happy we moved my son to a new school. read more

My daughter has been attending Via Verde KinderCare for three years (infant to Pre-K class). I am glad that I have chosen this school for our daughter's early childhood education. We enroll our daughter here because it appears this center is the cleanest and safest among others in the neighborhood. The meals and snacks served are nutritious, and the curriculum and activities are well-designed. In addition, the outdoor playground is the best compared to other preschools in my area. My daughter loves her teachers as they are caring and patient. She also enjoys the "learning adventure" program and looks forward to her weekly cooking and dancing classes. read more

My son is 16 months old and has been attending KinderCare in Via Verde for about 2 months. For me, it was a very hard decision to leave my son with strangers, especially since he had only been watched by myself, my husband and his grandparents. After looking at all the KinderCare's in the area, what sold me on this facility was the grounds and the friendliness of the staff. We needed somewhere my son could attend twice a week and we really wanted him to interact with other children his age, since he is an only child. The neighborhood is very nice, the building is very well kept and the office staff was kind as well. The first few weeks my son began attending were very hard not only on him, but me as well. The director took photos, videos and was so kind to me every time I called to make sure my lil guy was doing "okay". The staff really helped with this transition. Now he openly goes to the teachers when I drop him off in the morning and seems to even enjoy himself. I have also noticed huge developmental changes in his behavior and independence at home. He has developed so much by just going here this short time. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for somewhere to take there child. My first experience with this KinderCare was amazing. My oldest (3yr) started when he was 6months old. I was so nervous and didn't know what to expect. Ms. Tracy the morning infant teacher made me feel at ease. Then I met the afternoon teacher Ms. Elena. Both of these teachers made it so I never had to worry about my child. I never forgot how well my child was cared for. When I had my second little boy, it was no thought as to where he would go for childcare. Ms Tracey and Ms. Elena are still working there and did an amazing job with my little baby. He started at 6weeks old and now at three months he is a happy lil guy. I had a terrible experience when I went to this Kindercare. To start off with, the woman who took my check from me the first day (later on said that I never gave her a check) said that she looked through my file earlier and I had all the paperwork completed. Thing is: I know that I didn't finish everything or give her my doctor's information, but she insisted - which set off the first warning flag, but she was saying that she was "super busy" and a little disorganized (to set the scene: there were piles of paper everywhere and just junk laying around - I am not sure how she knew where anything else). The woman who was showing me where to put my son's stuff on the first day was going over the rules - she said that they have guidelines, but they do not follow them strictly unless there is someone high up coming to inspect or visit the site (for example, she said that they are not allowed to have kids sleeping on the floor, but there was a little girl sleeping in the middle of the floor - she said she was going to just let her sleep there....which I totally understand - but it's weird that they don't follow their own rules........). At the time, I thought....well - okay, I understand where they are coming from, they want to make sure all the kids are comfortable. THEN two days later, my husband went to drop my son off and one of the woman couldn't come open the door for him because she was YELLING at a baby that was in my son's class for crying. If that wasn't enough, my son came down with a horrible virus and now that I think back every kid had a runny nose. While I understand kids get sick, it was irresponsible of the center not to let me know that there was someone with a virus that made my son had a fever of over 100 degrees for a week....it was horrible. Especially since it was the first time my son was ever that sick!! So obviously - I took him out. Then about 1 month later I got a call from someone named Jessica saying that I still owed them money. I told her that I paid and I wasn't sure why I would owe more. She said that the person I handed the check to never receive it. I let her know that I am surprised that she would even be able to remember or find it because she was so disorganized. I asked her if she knew about my experience and she got defensive and said that she was not there during that time so she has not idea...so I wanted to explain my frustrations to her. As I was telling her that, she started to talk over and laugh at my experiences. I told her how inappropriate her laughing was and she said she was sorry that I felt that she was laughing at me. I asked to speak with her manager and then her tuned changed. She said she will try to do something about the balance so I don't have to pay. I told her I don't care about the money, I want to talk to her manager and asked when he was going to be in. She said he is in and out all day. I asked that she tell him to call me so we can discuss how funny she thought my experience was. At this point, I am waiting for the call - but wanted to make sure everyone knew how unprofessional this center was. I am now currently at Kiddie Academy in Diamond and LOVE it.
